Immigration Proposal: Tag & Tax

Immigration Proposal: Tag & Tax What do Americans want in an immigration program? What reason would any immigrant or illegal decide to join any such program? What plan could provide a clear and distinct path to United States citizenship? What idea would the American people accept that would allow such a clear and distinct path to United States citizenship? I believe that the idea expressed in this composition will ...more »

Make congress and senate an even political party member of numbers

It is not fair to the people of the United States to have one house have a majority in democrats or republicans to pass votes on issues that will have an impact on the entire country. Each branch should have the exact same number of members from each party. If one party member wanted to vote on an issue from another party then that would be fine, but at least it would be fair and balanced. As it is now there is nothing ...more »

Limit IT Choices

Isn't it great we have so many programming languages to choose from? Java, .NET, Perl, PHP, Cold Fusion, Ruby, Flash, Javascript, Silverlight and on and on. I say No. Humans have been building houses since mankind has existed and the chances of you getting a home delivered on time are very slim - there is too much unecessary choice and change. Blueprints are not re-used. Building software suffers from many of the ...more »

Labor Law Reform

Of course Congress should pass the Employee Free Choice Act, but beyond that the Obama Administration should get behind its original campaign promise and pressure Congress to pass the Act. But that is only the beginning for real labor law reform. Next, all the provisions of the Taft Hartley Law still in force should be repealed. That would include legalizing common situs picketing and legalizing all of the ...more »

Secured network for Public Voting

There should be a government run website that citizens can log-in to with their Social Security Number and vote for bills and such. This website is doing nothing but stirring debates, not to say that is not important.

Employee Free Choice Act

Obama said that he supports the Employee Free Choice Act, but since taking office he has done nothing to get this bill out of committee and onto his desk to be signed into law. Despite the fact that Obama chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel has said that the EFCA is a back burner issue that is certainly not the case for the embattled labor unions who did so much to get Obama elected or the millions of unorganized workers who ...more »

people can only inherit a certain amount of money

Everyone should be allowed to pass down money to there loved ones. But to a certain point. I think a responsible limit of money should be set, so people will have to contribute in life but as well have a break. Obviously there should be minimal exceptions, like handicap and stuff. The rest of the money collected if it was not given away should be thrown into grant programs to help the poor, students struggling from loans, ...more »

health care

Have health insurance companies follow the same rules walmart does. If walmart refuses to sell you something you can sue them, if walmart gives someone 20% off the price and not you, you can sue them, so why do we let the health insurance companies do this? I say do not let the health insurance companies turn people away, instead sell them insurance, also if the health insurance plan is the same the price should be the ...more »

property value should be based on the what you can grow.

just like back in the day, land should be based on what a person can grow on there land. This will make sustainable ideas and nature at the base of our decisions. Why should people in cities pay 1000 and up a month for a tiny apartment that you cant grow anything on, as well as everything that makes most building makes us sick and contributes to the destruction of our planet. At a minimum make a certain percentage of ...more »
