He is very willing to make "transparent" secrets of the previous administration, but not so willing to show a simple document that would prove his eligibility and alleviate concerns of the people he is supposed to "serve".

I believe that there should be a minimum waiting time, say at least 48 hours, before spending bills are voted on in congress (both house and senate).

 

The last spending bill was voted on less than 12 hours before being voted on. The result? AIG Bonuses!!!!!

 

Why the rush? Afraid the bill will be fully vetted in the public forum?

We all have to show proof of birth just to get a driver's license. Why does Obama resist showing his long form birth certificate? The clamor would still if he would reveal his long form birth certificate. Refusal indicates fear of the truth.

Mr. Obama, I respect the office of the Presidency. Let's REALLY begin a new era in transperency. Please release your birth certificate for the People of the United States to review. My kids cannot play organized sports without showing a certified copy of their birth certificate. Disneyland even requires your birth certificate to enter their park for free on your birthday. From the Congress to the President, when a bill comes before them make them reveal all potential conflicts of interest. When it's proposed, they must reveal their ties to the industries, the lobbyists, etc;... as well as the connections their family members have. This would help to root out corruption by exposing potential personal gain and holding officials accountable for not revealing their potential conflicts of interest.... more »

President Obama should instruct Governor Lingle of Hawaii to unseal his birth certificate and to order the state's Department of Health to allow the public to obtain copies of this important document.

How many czars have you appointed so far? 18? 19? Russia had one and look where it got them. Your appointed czars are not vetted by Congress and are responsible only to the one who appointed them. Let policy be made through channels, such as the cabinet members and elected officials, not czars.

Obama was granted a Fulbright Scolarship which is only offered to students who are not citizens of the United States. Obama has been stone-walling this request and can put all of this to rest if he has the Supreme Court and a independent third party examine and verify that the certificate is valid. Require that government agencies publish online both their budget and balance sheet. This has been done effectively with some school districts. It saves money by reducing fraud and waste.
