Voter Qualification

Conflicts of interest prevent Judges and Lawyers from working on cases where they have a personal interest. Conflicts of Interest prevent many parties from entering into business arrangements, etc. Voters should be pre-qualified by employment and income sources electronically, and in the case of conflict of interest, disqualified from voting for particular initiatives or candidates with whom they have a conflict of... more »

New Strategies and Techniques

Legalize Fusion voting

Fusion is the right of a candidate for public office to appear on more than one ballot line or on more than one Party designation. The Fusion option is legal in very few states, notably New York. Where it exists the evidence suggests that it fosters diversity in the political process, particularly the growth and development of third parties and other independent political formations.

A great way to balance the budget

I have a great idea to help balance out the federal budget, avoiding excessive deficits year after year. DON'T WASTE TAXPAYER DOLLARS ON WEBSITES LIKE THIS ONE, where people just waste everyone's time with posts arguing for the legalization of pot and/or other foolish pet projects.

If anyone has an idea worth while, they can call/write their Congressman/Congresswoman as is proper.

public outreach program to educate the public on "Constitutional Law 101"

Who: a public outreach team to develop educational materials and a plan to reach various age groups through various venues in order to make education available to the public on certain foundational constitutional principals so that topics that all branches of government deal with directly and on which certain campaigns are run can be understood more fully by people of all ages and backgrounds. What: A curriculum to... more »

Investigate and prosecute war crimes

Abundant evidence exist that the Bush Administration committed war crimes. The Spanish Court is investigating these alleged crimes-- but from our compromised Department of Justice, only crickets. We voted for change we can believe in, but what we have seen from AG Holder's DOJ seems mostly to be locked into President Bush's positions. It is also a war crime to fail to investigate and prosecute war crimes. Unless AG... more »

Welfare Reform

As someone who has used Government Assistance systems as a hand up, not a hand out, I have some ideas I would like to share about welfare reform. The largest burden to the system seems to be those people who do not work, those in many cases who never have worked: those who “live” on the system. I believe the solution to this is to have work and work history play a larger role in who gets assistance and how much they... more »

NO MORE "RIDERS" TO PROPOSED LEGILATION - PERIOD.

Make a rule, resolution or law that requires all contents and amendments of a particular legislative bill include ONLY items that actually pertain to the actual purpose or title of the bill. The House of Representative does NOT allow it's members to attach riders to pieces of legislation that are not "germane" to the purpose or title of the proposed bill after it is placed on the floor for debate but we should take... more »

Building Envelope Reflective Technologies

In warmer climates throughout the US, cooling or air conditioning costs are the largest part of a homes energy costs and similarly the largest part of a commercial or public building energy usage. Technologies exist to make the entire building envelope reflect a major portion of the suns energy and thereby reduce cooling loads in a structure and reduce "heat island" effect to surrounding areas. These technologies go... more »

Strategic Planning and Budgeting

Link department budget approvals to open government plans and funding strategy.

Transforming government as the open government memo proposes will not occur if it is an unfunded mandate to departments and agencies. There will need to be investments in new technologies,in training,in management resources, and in the applications of collaborative engagement on the ground and virtually. Departments and agencies should be required to demonstrate to OMB in their annual budget requests, strategic plans,... more »

Defeat IDEs with chemical signature Mass spectrometry technology and UAVs

I have been trying to get trackion on an anti-IED that, according to Marshall Space Flight Center scientists, it is at least plausible. I got the idea from an article where NASA used remote sensing via satelite, to located remote mayan ruins based on the checmical signature of the building materials. Cannabis regulation and legalization

Americans who will be smoking cannabis won't be the only reason there will be extra revenue. Yes there will be an extra 13+ billion in extra revenue, but also all the freed up prisons would save billions. All the money going to fighting this pointless war, will save billions. Hemp will bring in millions of jobs and billions of dollars in the clothing, fuel, textile, paper, and housing industry. Alcohol, tobacco, and generic... more »
