No need to wait for 2010 election, Californians know how to do the petitions for recall. You have done it for Governor, let's get this on the “Fast Track” (as Nancy likes to say) it just can't wait! Get the petitions ready for the 4th of July weekend. Signatures will be easy to collect at TEA parties. I'm sure there are some other states that are able to Recall their Representatives and or Senators too. Then we can see ...more »

The 9th amendment is more than the heart of privacy in the constitution. It is the heart of individual autonomy, and adulthood.
It is the barrier to a constant creep of government into territory that belongs to the person. It is not properly ignored. It is not a legal joke.
It is real, and it means what it says.
Retained by the people.
Kindly do not tread on me. Actually, delete that Kindly, how about--Do not tread on me because it is the heart of our nation. I repeat, because it is required. U.S. Citizens are not children. They are adults. Congress, the Administration, and the Judicial branch are not parents. They are employees of the U.S. Citizens. No sin taxes No prohibition Yes to the 9th Amendment which our Government ignores. And apologize ...more »
Who gave him a credit card? Take it away. Now.
Rebellion is past due. Get with it.
Obama is excited about the robust debate in Iran. Mistake.
He's breaking promises faster than he made them, and this exercise in open government will be a major insult if nothing genuine comes of it.
A few new websites with pages for comment isn't going to get it.
He must answer. Or he stirs the pot and walks away. I don't think it will settle well so long as the heat is on.
Mr. President Obama and the White House Administration: This is how we can fix all of the problems within the United States and the Global Financial Problems. Sense the Private Sector cannot do anything right, falling apart, laying off good workers, moving operations overseas, hiring more H-Visa’s and closing. The Federal Government is the only place there is Hope for Growth and Jobs. 1. The United States needs to ...more »

This is simply an idea in its infancy stage but maybe others could add to it and come up with some solutions for our Homeless in USA. I live in Los Angeles and the homeless in downtown LA is in a horrid state. So here's what I thought might get some ideas rolling. What if, on each block where homeless dwell, each restaurant, clothing store, even Hotels, contribute to these homeless souls by feeding them, clothing them ...more »
Institute term limits for all members of Congress, either 4 or 5 Max 4 yr terms. Also institute a vesting policy where they must serve 2 full terms to be eligible for retirement pay. Currently Congress people (politically correct bs) care more about their power than what is best for the people of the United States. If we limit the time they can spend in office, maybe they will focus on us, the people, instead of building ...more »
That adds up to 30%. That's a pretty hefty bite. If God is happy with 10%, who is the Federal Government to demand more? So: Repeal 16th Amendment: Taxing income is bad business, permits deductive manipulation for those who can afford it, demands excessive record keeping, created the demon institution known as I.R.S., and provides avenues for cheaters. Move to Sales Tax. New Amendment: Federal Government may apply ...more »
LOL. Repeal the 16th. Add amendment: Federal Government shall be content with a 10% sales tax, and shall apply no other taxes. Federal Government shall confine itself to its means and stay within its budget. Federal Government shall be free to petition God for extra money if they make budgeting mistakes. All, and I mean ALL excise taxes are prohibited. Obama, give back the SCHIP taxes. That was wrong, and bad. ...more »
They have that vote up thing going on. So, here's how it works.
If it is popular speech, it will rise to the top like cream.
If it is unpopular speech, it will sink to the bottom like the disenfranchised behind it.
This is Open Government and Free Speech in the Good Ol' USA.
On a government site no less.
We seem to be a nation divided by ideology. There is the left versus the right or if you choose, Democrats versus Republicans. The important thing is that the two ideologies, call them liberal or conservative or whatever you want, are on two different sides of the ideological fence. I would propose that all who favor government running their lives for them and coming up with programs that take care of them from cradle ...more »
Memo dated today, from Robynn Sturm, invites the public: Non-profits Companies Journalists Teachers Mothers Interested Citizens -----***IN THAT ORDER***----- ...to weigh in again. Doesn't say where, limits it to 3 ideas, apparently on how our government can explain to us how it controls our lives, for what purposes, how much it costs, etc., so on and so forth--the whole transparency sham. Obama, You need ...more »
