All Laws need a "Sunset" clause

Every law should have an expiration date of at most 30 years. Let the legislature renew the law, but I'm tired of them passing new laws for every new story and forever eroding our rights.

All we do is add laws. What about cleaning the books and removing old laws?

Let's simplify the crazy complexity of our legal system.

Cap Congress

I propose a bill titled the "Congress Citizen ACT" which would give Congress the same benefits as the American citizens.

-Limit to 2 terms
-No lifetime pension or a pension of 50k a year standard across the board. Currently 2-3 times more generous than Corporate pensions.
-Same health insurance as the rest of the American public. Pay for your own, not with taxpayer money.
-Salary cap at 50k a year. Current Salary is... more »

How about Congress stops piggybacking bills

The Credit card bill passed last week ALSO contained the right to carry firearms in National parks.

WTF?

I though the President was not going to sign laws that contained nonsense strapped along to it. This is not the CHANGE i voted for. If the GOP won't agree to laws without these kinds of concessions - then the laws can't be passed and the Dems need to hold their opponents up for public scrutiny come next election.... more »

Keep to the subject and no congress input

If people want to comment on something not related to the topic there should be a "lounge" they could go to and discuss. You can say "removed to off site"

Also, I noticed a member of Congress wrote on here they have their own avenue to talk and this should be for voters (non congress/senate and aides).
