There are hundreds of Nurses; including RN's working for the VA in non-clinical positions. Wouldn't it benefit the Veteran's more having nurses work in clinical areas. Why are there so many nurses working in the VA in non-clinical positions; such as Administration and Management. Give an incentive for the nurses to stay in their field, bonus, etc. or RIF some back to lesson the shortage. There are always people to hire for Management and Administration. If there were to look at this seriously - I bet they could gain 1000 nurses already working at the VA.
