Vote No on S 324: Melanie Blocker Stokes Mom's Opportunity to Access Health, Education, Research, and Support for Postpartum Depression Act.
This sweeping government policy for all new births in the United States has just passed the House of Representatives and is now headed to the Senate. The Mother’s Act, if passed, will mandate that all new mothers be screened by means of a list of subjective questions that will determine if each mother is mentally fit to take their newborn home from the hospital. Just imagine that after your child is born, you are told that you can't take them home since a multiple choice questionnaire wasn't answered correctly. Just imagine being told that the only way you can take your child home is if you or your spouse goes into treatment or on anti-depressants which we know causes psychosis, delusions, and even homicidal thoughts. It just doesn't make sense. Unfortunately, this bill is on a fast track - No public disclosure of the broad impact on our society and that is why we need you to act now!
The Mother's Act violates our Constitutional right to privacy and your right to liberty and it is just outright dangerous.
I doubt very many of you have heard of this bill and why would that be, it seems very serious, that is because the fourth estate is dead.
Vote No on HR 2401: No Fly, No Buy Act of 2009 states that if you are on the United States no fly list, you can not purchase a gun in the United States. From what I can find on this No Fly list is that nearly a million names are on it and it grows by 20,000 + names a month and many of the names on this list are Americans. The criterion for being on the list has never been released. So called terrorist or suspect terrorists are the only ones that can make the list, supposedly. Since no one knows the exact criteria for making the list, it has virtually no oversight. For all we know just making a phone call and saying a number of trigger words will place you on the list via computer extrapolation.

A BILL To increase public safety and reduce the threat to domestic security by including persons who may be prevented from boarding an aircraft in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ‘No Fly, No Buy Act of 2009’.
SEC. 2. INCLUSION OF PERSONS WHO MAY BE PREVENTED FROM BOARDING AN AIRCRAFT IN THE NATIONAL INSTANT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK SYSTEM.
(a) In General- Section 103(f) of the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act (18 U.S.C. 922 note) is amended by inserting ‘, notwithstanding any regulation prescribed under section 40119(b) of title 49, United States Code’ before the period.
(b) Transfer or Other Disposition of Firearm to Such Persons- Section 922(d) of title 18, United States Code, is amended--
(1) by striking ‘or’ at the end of paragraph (8);
(2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (9) and inserting ‘; or’; and
(3) by inserting after paragraph (9) the following: ‘(10) is an individual who is required, under regulations prescribed under section 114(h) of title 49, United States Code, to be prevented from boarding an aircraft.’.
(c) Shipment, Transport, Possession, or Receipt of Firearm by Such Persons- Section 922(g) of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ‘or’ at the end of paragraph (8);
(2) by striking the comma at the end of paragraph (9) and inserting ‘; or’; and
(3) by inserting after paragraph (9) the following:
‘(10) who is an individual who is required, under regulations prescribed under section 114(h) of title 49, United States Code, to be prevented from boarding an aircraft,’.
On June, 9th, 2008, Denis Kucinich sited his infamous thirty-five articles of impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. This was a five and half hour speech before the House of Representatives. The vote to refer the resolution to the Judiciary Committee was tantamount to burying it, as the Democrats and Kucinich himself were fully aware. The Democratic chairman of the committee, Rep. John Conyers of Detroit, has repeatedly stated his opposition to pursuing an impeachment investigation against Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney. In my opinion any one of the thirty-five articles of impeachment was sufficient to impeach the executive.
The failure of the House to impeach the executive illustrates the fact that laws of the United States do not apply to those in power, thus a direct indication that we are lead by an oligarchy and not a republic.
The House Judiciary committee never cited any specific reason for not accepting the resolution to impeach. We the people demand to know the reason impeachment never took place for each article sighted. Meaning, we the people are owed an explanation for each and every article of impeachment.

Capital gains taxes are those taxes that are levied upon shareholders gains from investments held for duration longer than one year. With the present lower capital gains tax of fifteen percent; shareholders can realize more of the revenue of their investments, thus lower capital gains taxes promotes stockholders votes for dividends/profit taking. With higher capital gains taxes; shareholders generally vote for more capital improvements or investments by their companies. This promotes a stronger business format for growth, thus improving the assessed value or worth of a stock in the long run. Capital improvements also mean job creation, wage growth, and increasing stock value via consumer confidence and industry consolidations or expansions. Simply put, higher capital gains taxes force business and corporations to expend money on growth, while lower capital gains forces business to look for the quick buck to give to shareholders. Capital gains must be raised back to pre 1996 levels of 28% on long term capital gains, but the current low capital gain rates should remain for those who are in the 10% and 15% income tax brackets

Anyone who wishes to run for public office, whether its state or federal, must submit their Federal 1040 tax forms for public notice. Furthermore, said public official must publish two years prior to office, all the years during office, and for duration not less then four years after public office. This bill would attempt to maintain the ethics of operating public servants/agents.
Currently, congress persons are only required to declair estimates of their income. Accuracy of estimates is highly questionable.
Incarcerated citizens who have sentience’s exceeding (ten to twenty years) be given a choice to have their United States citizenship removed and deported to a country chosen by the: a) Federal government, b) State government, c) transitional citizen, where the receiving country gives consent of immigration. Fees and travel expenses would be paid by the government of origin; state or federal. Incarcerated citizens may write appeals to foreign governments for application of immigration.
The institution of imprisonment is a social system of correction/segregation of unwanted behavior or acts. Too maintain the illusion of deterrence in the general population, inmates must serve at least twenty, thirty, forty, or fifty percent of their sentences before this option would be available (to be determined by state of origin). Should a destination country be determined as unfavorable to the continued health of former citizens, then food distribution centers should be established and available to maintain a minimum standard of health. Funding of foreign food distribution centers can be generated by the United Nations or by the originating country. Suggest automated and reinforced food distribution centers where an applicant can use a card/digital device to withdraw food rations. Picture this: A machine that dispenses boxes of macaroni and cheese, the consumer then adds water and heat for a warm meal. The powdered cheese could be fortified to promote a more balanced diet. Mass production of these types of dry products would reduce the per unit cost to pennies.
Multiple “Radio Frequency Devices” (RFD) sub-dermal chipping of transient citizens would provide an enhancement of detection of those individuals who my try to reenter the United States via our porous boarders. Transitional citizens who wish to reapply for United States citizenship: 1) Should not be considered until the balance of their remaining sentence has been served outside the boarders of the United States, 2) Former convict my return to finish any outstanding sentences to regain citizenship, 3) Reapply using normal immigration application procedures and practices.
Modern prison system does not rehabilitate socially unacceptable behavior for a majority of ex-convicts. If anything, this system of confinement only reinforces deviant behavior or social seclusion. Relocating our convict population via voluntary removal of citizenship of the United States to a willing foreign national would instill a new hope and new opportunity to a social misfit group. Real world experience in a foreign country would educate or moderate an inmate social growth more effectively than confinement. Human beings are wonderful and adaptive creatures. Our life experiences mold each of us to the beings that we are. Life behind bars breeds a known commodity or trait.
What do Americans want in an immigration program? What reason would any immigrant or illegal decide to join any such program? What plan could provide a clear and distinct path to United States citizenship? What idea would the American people accept that would allow such a clear and distinct path to United States citizenship? I believe that the idea expressed in this composition will answer all of the above questions.
My solution to the modern immigration problem is a two fold suggestion. First, the Real ID act must be formatted on the federal level and mandated for states use. The Real ID act was passed in 2006 as an attachment to a war spending bill and was to go into effect in 2007. What this bill didn’t provide was a formatted ID card, instead it asked the states to go to great expense and design it themselves. The states said no, and that’s where we stand today, another unenforced bill. I am sure that every state had a valid reason to not implement the Real ID Act.
The Real ID act, in my opinion, is one of the best ideas that came from this administration. The Real ID, as I understand it, was to be an identification card with a built in computer chip. On this chip would contain all the information required to identify a citizen in a read only format with encryption protection and safeguards. Along with this information, the Real ID would contain a writable section that could store all of the citizen’s health, dentil, optical, and prescription information. With this information a citizen can go to any doctor or hospital and have instant access to all the patients’ data. Every time a citizen visits a doctor, dentist, optician, or pharmacist, that professional can access your Real ID to read and update your files in the writeable section only. The Real ID can save lives with quicker access to the patients information from anywhere in the Untied States. Every citizen who has an eye exam will have all there optical information, at hand, to buy glasses from any vender or venue. With all of your dentil history in your pocket, you are empowered to switch to any dentist at will, if you desire. The definition for “all information required” to identify a citizen must be spelled out, before adaption.
The surface of the Real ID will still look very similar to today’s ID card or driver’s license, just a little thicker. The Real ID will be a proof of citizenship card, driver’s license, social security card, and passport or temporary citizen status immigration card. It’s up to congress to determine the range of options the Real ID Act encompasses. Immigration Real ID was to be colored pink or other color than full citizen card. Every time a citizen goes in to have their drivers licensee renewed, the Real ID card will be issued. A citizen will then have to provide name, address, proof of residence, a birth certificate, and social security card to obtain the Real ID. The proof of residence could be an electric bill showing residence or other document showing address. A grace period for the use of the current ID card could take place within eighteen to twenty four months, until full implementation, and then the Real ID will be required. The use of the Real ID would be required to gain access to any government building, airport, employment, or banking institution. I took poetic license with the listing of required services, actual listing of would be determined by congress.
Now that we have clear distinction of “we” and “they”, we can now discus how to allow immigrants, illegal or otherwise, to obtain citizenship in the United States. Essentially, every immigrant will have to pay for the privilege to be a citizen of the United States. This is a citizenship fee. Here is how this could work. Immigrants could be taxed on a higher income tax rate than naturalized/born Americans. An Immigrant can either opt to pay a one time fee to become a United States citizen or opt to be taxed on a higher income tax scale, that would pay up to the entry fee, over years. Whether this fee is $5,000 to $50,000 for United States citizenship; this would have to be determined by congress. For the sake of this discussion, let’s call it $10,000. An immigrant would then choose at what degree of higher tax rate to obtain the entry Whether this tax rate is 10% higher for 10 year period, to pay up to the entry fee, or opt for a higher tax rate of 10-30% and shorter pay period. An immigrant could opt to pay additional income taxes to pay toward the completion of the fee. The pay scale of the immigrant will be the determining factor as to the duration of the higher tax rate. A straight line higher tax rate and duration period could be discussed.
The entry fee could be configured in a regional chart of the world. Let’s say a Mexican national has an entry fee of $10,000 and a French national has an entry free of $12,000. Again this regional fee would have to be determined by congress. States that wish to prohibit immigration could raise the required citizen tax to reflect their desire for immigration. States my add residence requirements to determine immigrant status. Tax revenue from this fee could be earned for the states, federal government, or both. Increasing revenues to either organization would pay off debts and ease the general public tax burden.
Arguments
What if a foreign national marries a United States citizen? The entry fee could be halved or reduced; to be determined by congress.
What if a corporation wishes to import a foreign national? The corporation could pay the entry fee. It would be up to congress if the corporation gains a corporate income tax credit or deduction. The citizenship fee should not be a bar against valued foreign nationals in gaining citizenship. The Real ID system would determine the validity of the foreign national.
How invasive could the “all information required” to identify the citizen, be? All of the information of your current drivers’ license or ID card would be included on the Real ID, and the information required in the computer chip could contain the following: • Fingerprints. The thumb print scanner used at many banking institutions to identify or file print information has set the stage for this type of identification. The fingerprint scan can be done by a simple scanner, without messy ink. • Retina scan. Most Drivers License stations run a quick check on your vision to qualify for license. A simple addition of a retina scanner to this process would consume very little of the citizens time. Optional. • Photograph • Social Security Number. Would replace existing and antiquated social security cards. • Access dates. Dates and description of access check. Optional. • Status. If the citizen is out of country, this information would be noted in the Real ID. Dates and countries of destination information. If temporary or immigration status national has left the country, a caution period or suspension of status could be recorded at boarder stations. Reentering the country could remove such caution status. • Medical Alert Information. Contact numbers for emergency use could be provided by the citizen; at the citizens’ discretion. Citizen provided medical alert information, such as heart condition, diabetes, and so forth. As you can now see, much of the information required to identify a citizen is not very invasive to our rights. If the Real ID deters criminal activity in any shape and form, isn’t this worth the inconvenience of signing up to it once. Renewing the Real ID would require much less information and time at the DMV or Drivers License stations. Lost or stolen Real IDs would require the noted information for reissuance. Citizen should be able to fill out most of the forms for the Real ID card from their home computer, and then enter the issuance station to have their information in queue for ease of processing.
What if a citizen doesn’t want to use the writeable section of the Real ID card? It is completely up to the citizen as to the use of this aspect of the Real ID card. If the citizen wishes to have only optical information stored on the card, it is completely at their discretion. The Real ID could store your children’s medical information, if the parent desired.
What kind of crimes would the Real ID prevent? 1) Identity Theft. 2) Use of multiple identity cards. 3) ID forgery.
Is the Real ID in use today? American solders in Iraq are using the Real ID, now. I have interviewed one returned veteran and he commented that the Real ID was very useful and regrets that it doesn’t work here in the United States. Having all of his medical files with him allowed him a better sense of security, knowing that if injured he would receive better treatment. Information is power, and having any doctor empowered with your information could save your life.
What other functions could the Real ID provide? The Real ID could be used as currency or credit. The backside of the card or the computer chip of the Real ID could contain the information of your favorite credit or debit card company and used as a credit card. A wallet function on the chip could act as currency; do be determined by congress.
Would children of immigrants be subject to the new tax? This is a sticky question. If children of immigrants are born in the United States, then those children are automatically citizens of the United States. If this isn’t so, then I am not aware of it. Children who are not born in the Untied States will have to pay the entry fee at some point in their life or their parents can pay it. The parents may pay a discounted rate for their non-American born children; this discount rate may be higher for two or more children.
How difficult is the United States citizenship fee to pay? The current loss of value of the American dollar has made many foreign currencies stronger in relation. Let’s say the citizenship fee for a European was $10,000, dollars. This would only cost a European national, $6,569 euro’s, as of February 28, ’08. Keep this in mind; the United States is generally considered the lowest taxed country in the world. Currently, all immigrants are experiencing our low income tax rates. If they pay an initial higher income tax rate to gain the citizenship fee, then that higher tax rate may still be lower than what that national experienced in their home country.
What kind of data storage device would the chip contain? The data storage device would be similar to a flash memory data storage device. It would contain sections of read only memory for hard data such as Social Security number, digital photo, address, and security data for forgery protection. A second writable data section would allow your doctor, optometrist, and other health professionals to access health data of the primary and optional data of children of the owner. In case of an emergency, all of the health data of the individual would be readily available to the physicians to better treat the patient. Whether a RFD chip would also be included into the device, I cannot say. Passports have a RFD chip embedded into them. RFD chips can only be detected at short ranges, a few feet. The only thing that a RFD chip does is signal a string of numbers which would be unique to the individual.
What kind of special events could be planned for this immigration proposal? In times of American prosperity or during election periods; a general citizenship fee easement program could be temporarily/permanent passed that would reduce the fee or allow those immigrants with little remaining to pay to automatically gain citizenship. This could be used to generate times of celebration. Conversely, if congress or a state wishes to reduce or prohibit further immigration, then the citizenship fee could be raised in value.
How much revenue could this immigration program generate? It is estimated that there is twelve million illegal immigrants residing in the United States, and this number grows every year. Corporate Executive Pay Cap Reform: Top executives of publicly held companies should have the total compensation (wages, bonuses, stock options) capped to no more than fifty to one hundred times the mean average wage of all employees within the given company or holdings. Fiscal end 2007, record compensation packages of a few corporate executives have exceeded 243 times that of mean average wage of employees. This excessive pay program detracts from the wage growth of employees to the benefit of a few people. This policy would promote increasing mean wages of millions of employees. Employee wage growth has stagnated during the past twenty years, due to excessive executive greed. “Predatory capitalism is characterized as the following: Profit-seeking corporations can be a great force for good in the world, creating and providing wonderful goods and services that would be unavailable by any other means. But we also recognize that if they are unregulated, they harm the public these five ways.” • 1) NOT PAY TAXES -In order to maximize profits, they always seek to avoid or minimize their taxes. • 2) ELIMINATE COMPETION -In order to maximize profits, they always seek to eliminate or control their competition. • 3) CUT WAGES AND SALARIES - In order to maximize profits, they always seek to reduce their labor costs. • 4) DISREGARD THE ENVIRONMENT - In order to maximize profits, they always seek to avoid all environmental restraints. • 5) SELL DANGEROUS, HARMFUL PRODUCTS - In order to maximize profits, they may tempt to sell dangerous or harmful products. Vote NO on Senate Resolution 773: Cybersecurity Act of 2009 – This law will moderate the current free speech internet by allowing unprecedented government access to servers, all in the name of national security. This must not happen. The internet is the last bastion of free thought. Our other media outlets, television, radio, and newsprint, are all compromised by controlling interests who moderate or script daily news. Internet is the last public free resource of information, untainted by those corrupting forces of government sponsorship. As this bill is currently written it would devastate freedom of speech all under the guise of protection from so called cyber attacks. This Act must not be passed as read on April 1, 2009. • April 1, 2009, version, Section 14, part (b) FUNCTIONS – The Secretary of Commerce – (1) shall have access to all relevant data concerning such networks without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule, or policy restricting such access. • If congress wanted to reinforce cyber security all they need to do is reinforce their gate keeper code, meaning accessibility to their mainframes. This bill is an over achiever bill that has far too many powers for its purpose. • Presently, all purchases over the internet are done sales tax free, this must continue. Any legislation by the state or federal government to place fees or sales taxes upon internet sales must be resisted and discouraged, under the pain of recall or impeachment, if necessary.
62. Ban the Use of Depleted Uranium Munitions: Depleted uranium is a waste product of the nuclear enrichment process in making nuclear weapon grade uranium. Depleted uranium is 1.7 times more dense than lead, making it ideal for weapons. When a DU monition impacts a hard target, the DU burns through at high temperatures producing very fine radioactive dust particles. DU is used as a penetrator in amour piercing tank rounds and bullets. The heat of the DU impact and secondary fires means that much of the dust produced is ceramic, and remain in the lungs for years if inhaled. Institute of Nuclear Technology-Radiation Protection of Attiki, Greece has noted that “the aerosol produced during impact and combustion of depleted uranium munitions can potentially contaminate wide areas around the impact sites or can be inhaled by civilians and military personnel.” (Mitsakou, 2003) The half-life of DU is 4.5 billion years. Any environment where it is used as a weapon will remain radioactive forever. “DU shells and bullets left in or on the ground have been found to have lost 25% of their mass by dissolving and are now contaminating groundwater.” (Moret, 2003) More than three thousand tons of depleted uranium munitions have been used in Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. • The legality test for weapons under international law requires that weapons must pass the following four tests: a. Temporal Test: Weapons must not continue to act after the battle is over b. Environmental Test: Weapons must not be unduly harmful to the environment c. Territorial Test: Weapons must not act off of the battlefield d. Humaneness Test: Weapons must not kill or wound inhumanely • Depleted uranium weaponry fails all four tests; therefore, it is illegal under all treaties, all agreements, and all war conventions. (Moret, 2003) • From natural background radiation, the typical person gets about 100 millirems of radiation a year, but if your exposed to places where depleted uranium was used, you can easily experience upwards to 200 millirems of radiation per hour. This level of radiation exposure is likened to getting a chest x-ray every few minutes. (Poison Dust, 2008) Depleted uranium is primarily an alpha and gamma radiation emitter. Alpha radiation can be blocked by tissue paper, but since it is easily blocked, all of its energy is deposited in the nearby tissue. Since, depleted uranium has a very long half life, any particle of it that is ingested or breathed in; it never stops radiating alpha radiation. Gamma radiation is very hard to shield, even if it is encased in lead, some of the radiation still comes through.
61. Ban the use of Fluoride in Public Drinking Water and Other Beverages: American indoctrination of fluoridation is thoroughly ingrained. When you tell most people that fluoride is bad for you, they simply can not fathom this truth. Fluoride only has a very small topical benefit to teeth, meaning only marginally beneficial as fluoride passes over the teeth. Ingesting fluoride has absolutely zero benefits what so ever. Fluoridation must end, and those who have passed laws allowing this to happen should be indicted for the deaths of millions of Americans. • Short history of fluoride use. American soldiers who entered Germany at the end of World War II made the liberating of POW camps a priority. Camp after camp, they found stockpiles of fluoride stored near the water supply. When they asked what the fluoride was used for, they were told that the Germans used the substance as an additive to the prisoner’s water, to make them docile and inhibit the questioning of authority. This is the first known incidence of intentionally fluoridating drinking water. (Cristian, 2007) • “In 1943, researchers from the US Public Health Service examine the health of residents of Bartlett, Texas to see if the 8ppm fluoride in the drinking water was affecting their health. It was checked again in 1953. They find that the death rate in Bartlett was three times higher than a neighboring town which contained 0.4 ppm fluoride.” (Valerian, 1997) • From 1952 to 1956, the cities on the "fluoridation list" began to fluoridate their water supplies. As the process of water fluoridation continued, the cancer death rate of the fluoridated cities began to far exceed the rate of the unfluoridated cities. (Valerian, 1997) • As early as 1959, the knowledge existed that the presence of fluoride in human bodies hastens the absorption of radioactive substances present in the environment. In a report to the Atomic Energy Commission's Division of Biology and Medicine entitled "The Metabolism of Alkaline Earth Metals by Bone" by F.W. Lengemann, professor of chemistry at the University of Tennessee on March 23, 1959, it was scientifically shown that the presence of fluorine and other environmental substances such as lead and cyanide in the human body increased the ratio of strontium 90 to calcium in bone - caused the body to absorb radioactives. (Valerian, 1997) • In 1960, the American Dental Association issued a pamphlet for public consumption called Fluoridation Facts: Answers to Criticisms of Fluoridation. In defense of the use of toxic fluoride compounds in public water supplies (which is a grievous crime against humanity, since it means mandated involuntary public medication), they used the logic that "people have been known to live to a ripe old age" in areas where the water supply is fluoridated. Unfortunately, they neglected to mention that the addition of fluoride to the water supply correlated directly with the number of still births, mongoloid children, brittle teeth and enlarged dental root structures, adverse spinal conditions, osteomalacia (softening of the bones) and osteoporosis (abnormally porous and spaced structure inside bone) in the medicated population as opposed to control populations that were unmedicated. People die young "at a ripe old age". (Valerian, 1997) • The Federal Drug Administration bans fluoride pills for pregnant women in October 1966, according to Drug News Weekly. The FDA ban was accompanied by the statement that "fluorides use did not impart stronger teeth or prevent tooth decay in the newborn" and that "there is scientific debate as to whether fluorides might aggravate mental retardation and Mongolism in the offspring". Prior to this ban, millions of fluoride supplement tablets were used by pregnant women on recommendation of the Public Health Service and promoters of fluoridation. (Valerian, 1997) • The November 12, 1971 Framingham, Massachusetts News Local carried an announcement from the board of health. Fluoridation was stopped in order to cure a green hair problem which had cropped up, due to the fluoridation chemicals leaching out copper from the pipes. It would be necessary to add another toxic chemical, sodium hydroxide, to counteract the problem. (Valerian, 1997) • A study on the physiological and behavioral effects of Sodium Fluoride is published on October 12, 1994. The study is done by Mullenix, Denbensten, Schunior and Kernan, from the Toxicology Department, Forsyth Research Institute in Boston, the Department of Radiation Oncology, Harvard Medical School, the Department of Paediatric Dentistry, Eastman Dental Center, and the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Iowa State University. According to the study, published in Neurotoxicology and Teratology, Vol 17, No. 2, pp. 169-177, 1995, while fluorides have a great number of effects on the body, the effect on the brain and central nervous system structures were examined, and it was found that fluorides affect the hippocampus, which is the central processor which integrates inputs from the environment, memory, and motivational stimuli to produce behavioral decisions and modify memory. Note: Now it can be seen why the Nazis and Soviets used fluorides in the prison camp water supplies to reduce the will to resist and make the prisoners docile and not tend to question authority. It is the primary reason it is added to water supplies, since there is no credible scientific evidence it exists in the water supply for any other purpose. After several years, we have found no credible evidence, only anecdotal reviews by groups with a vested interest in keeping toxic fluorides in use. (See 1957, Montreal Neurological Institute, and the case of H.M). This 1994 study also showed that "effects on behavior relate directly to plasma fluoride levels in the brain, and fluoride accumulation in the brain, establishing that long-term accumulation of fluorides in the brain does occur, even with minimal doses. This 1994 report also stated that "overall, the behavioral changes from fluoride exposures are consistent with interrupted hippocampal development. Although this study was done on rats, according to the report "a generic behavioral disruption is found in this rat study can be indicative of a potential for motor dysfunction, IQ deficits and/or learning disabilities in humans, and that substances that accumulate in brain tissue potentiate concerns about neurotoxic risks. This is the first laboratory study to demonstrate that central nervous system functional output is vulnerable to fluorides that is publicly released, although decades of studies have been done, but not released, by the Mellon Institute and various agencies, who keep the results to themselves for the last 50 years. (Valerian, 1997) • Neurotoxicology and Teratology, Vol 17, No.2,p.169-177, "Neurotoxicity of Sodium Fluoride in Rats", Meullenix, et al, 1995, reveals that fluorides are cumulative in the brain , humans are exposed to plasma fluoride levels as high as those given to rats , fluorides interrupt normal brain development in babies and children , and fluorides affect the hippocampus, the "central processor" in the brain which integrates inputs from the environment, memory, and motivational stimuli to produce behavioral decisions and modify memory. This firmly establishes that mass fluoridation affects the behavior of society, in that it undermines the capacity for people to make decisions and become motivated to act against abnormal environments (such as that present in tyranny). (Valerian, 1997) • Only the U.S. and a few other countries continue to add fluoride to public drinking water. China discontinued the practice after finding that fluoride in the water lowers the ability of children to learn. There is also scientific evidence that osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and other aluminum related diseases are caused by fluoride. (Cristian, 2007) Fluoride allows aluminum and silico-aluminate to penetrate the blood/brain barrier, which subsequently causes dementia. Aluminum in the brain probably is also heated by cell phone emissions, causing damage by heating nearby brain cells. (Cristian, 2008) • Sodium fluoride is a toxic waste-product produced in aluminum and nuclear industries. “Major sources of fluoride in American tap water originate from chimney stack waste by-products and fertilizer industries.” (Carnie, 2002) Only in America would we take a toxic waste product, mark it up 20,000 percent, and sell it to public water systems. Fluoride is one of the basic ingredients in Prozac, Sarin nerve gas, a host of anti-depressant drugs, commercial insecticides, anesthetics, and hypnotic and psychiatric drugs. Independent scientific evidence over the past 50 plus years has shown that sodium fluoride shortens our life span, promotes various cancers and mental disturbances, and most importantly, makes humans stupid, docile, and subservient, all in one neat little package. (Cristian, 2007) • Most of the citizens of the United States of America have never known a chemical free thought in their entire lives. Those lucky few who have grown up on farms with well water are the only citizens not mentally castrated by fluoridation. I fight each day to learn something new. I suffer from attention deficit syndrome. I do not subscribe to the popular believe the medication is the answer to all ills. The root cause of most illnesses is the food we eat or the water we drink.
60. Ban the use of Aspartame: Aspartylphenylalanine-methyl-ester or aspartame is an artificial sweetener and is commonly packaged as NutraSweet, Spoonful, or Equal. Aspartame (C14H18N2O5 ) is a compound of three components. These components are methanol, aspartic acid and phenylalanine. Note: Aspartame breaks down into its component parts at temperatures of 86 degrees or higher. This is why it is used mainly in cool foods and not in baked goods. • Methanol (methyl alcohol or wood alcohol) is a colorless, poisonous, and flammable liquid. It is used for making formaldehyde, acetic acid, methyl t-butyl ether (a gasoline additive), paint strippers, carburetor cleaners for your car's engine, and chloromethanes, et al. This poison can be inhaled from vapors, absorbed through the skin, and ingested. Methanol is the type of alcohol you read about when people become blind from drinking it. In aspartame, methanol poisoning and poisoning from methanol's breakdown components (formaldehyde and formic acid) can have widespread and devastating effects. This occurs in even small amounts, and is especially damaging when introduced with toxic, free-form amino acids, called excitotoxins. Methanol is quickly absorbed through the stomach and small intestine mucosa. The methanol is converted into formaldehyde (a known carcinogen). Then, via aldehyde hydrogenase, the formaldehyde is converted to formic acid. These two metabolites of methanol are toxic and cumulative. (Evangelista, 2004) • Phenylalanine is an amino acid. Well, amino acids are good for us, right? Don't they keep us healthy? The answer is yes, amino acids are necessary for good health, EXCEPT when you separate the individual amino acid from its protein chain, and use it as an "isolate" or by itself. (Evangelista, 2004) • Aspartic acid, in aspartame, is also an excitotoxin. An excitotoxin, is a deleterious substance that excites or over-stimulates nerve cells. This occurs in the brain, as well as the peripheral nerves, because aspartic acid, in free form, is an absorption accelerant & easily crosses the blood-brain barrier. This pathological excitation of nerve cells creates a breakdown of nerve function, as we will see. Basically, they are a group of compounds that can cause special neurons within the nervous system to become overexcited to the point that these cells will die. That's right, they are excited to death. Excitotoxins include such things as monosodium glutamate (MSG), aspartate, (a main ingredient in NutraSweet), L-cysteine (found in hydrolyzed vegetable protein) and related compounds. What makes this all the more intriguing is that "excitotoxins" appear to play a key role in degenerative nervous system diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and many others. (Evangelista, 2004) • There are 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption. They are as follows: Abdominal pain, anxiety attacks, arthritis, asthma, asthmatic reactions, bloating, edema (fluid retention), blood sugar control problems (hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia), brain cancer (pre-approval studies in animals), breathing difficulties, burning eyes or throat, burning urination, can’t think straight, chest pains, chronic cough, chronic fatigue, confusion, death, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, excessive thirst or hunger, fatigue, feel unreal, flushing of face, hair loss, headaches, migraines, hearing loss, heart palpitations, hives (urticaria), hypertension (high blood pressure), hysterical pregnancy, impotency and sexual problems, inability to concentrate, infection susceptibility, insomnia, irritability, itching, joint pains, laryngitis, marked personality changes, memory loss, menstrual problems or changes, muscle spasms, nausea or vomiting, numbness or tingling of extremities, other allergic-like reactions, panic attacks, phobias, poor memory, rapid heart beat, rashes, seizures and convulsions, slurring of speech, swallowing pain, tachycardia, tremors, tinnitus, vertigo, vision loss, and weight gain. (Hull, 2002) • In addition, aspartame can mimic symptoms or worsen the following diseases: Fibromyalgia, arthritis, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, lupus, multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), diabetes and diabetic complications, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, birth defects, chronic fatigue syndrome, lymphoma, Lyme disease, attention deficit disorder (ADD), panic disorder, depression and other psychological disorders. (Hull, 2002) • How can such a toxic substance be granted approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)? Simply follow the history. In 1985 Monsanto purchased G.D. Searle, the chemical company that held the patent to aspartame, the active ingredient in NutraSweet. Monsanto was apparently untroubled by aspartame's clouded past, including a 1980 FDA Board of Inquiry, comprised of three independent scientists, which confirmed that it "might induce brain tumors." The FDA had actually banned aspartame based on this finding, only to have Searle Chairman Donald Rumsfeld (formally the Secretary of Defense under Bush Jr.) vow to "call in his markers," to get it approved. On January 21, 1981, the day after Ronald Reagan's inauguration, Searle re-applied to the FDA for approval to use aspartame in food sweetener, and Reagan's new FDA commissioner, Arthur Hayes Hull, Jr., appointed a 5-person Scientific Commission to review the board of inquiry's decision. It soon became clear that the panel would uphold the ban by a 3-2 decision, but Hull then installed a sixth member on the commission, and the vote became deadlocked. He then personally broke the tie in aspartame's favor. Hull later left the FDA under allegations of impropriety, served briefly as Provost at New York Medical College, and then took a position with Burston-Marsteller, the chief public relations firm for both Monsanto and GD Searle. Since that time he has never spoken publicly about aspartame. (Murry, 2001) • The leading manufacturer of aspartame is the Ajinomoto Corporation of Tokyo.
59. Ban the use of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG): Monosodium glutamate is used world wide as a taste enhancer, but the product itself has no taste. Why is MSG so popular? It all comes down to our taste buds. It has long been known that there are four basic tastes - sweet, sour, salty, and bitter. It is now thought that there is a fifth taste, called "umami." Umami is the savory taste that occurs naturally in foods such as tomatoes and ripe cheese. Just as eating chocolate stimulates the sweet taste receptors on our tongue, eating food seasoned with MSG stimulates the glutamate or "umami" receptors on our tongue, enhancing the savory flavor of these foods. (Parkinson) • MSG has been shown to cause lesions on the brain, especially in children. These lesions cause cognitive, endocrinological and emotional abnormalities. In children excess glutamate affects the growth cones on neurons. Growth cones are vital in laying down chemical pathways in the brain to enable the brain to operate effectively. Studies show that rats who had been fed MSG from birth could not escape mazes or discriminate between stimuli as well as non MSG fed rats. The implications for human children are that MSG could seriously affect their cognitive skills and cause learning difficulties. (Copeman, 2005) Children are most at risk from the effects of processed free glutamic acid. Their undeveloped blood-brain barriers leave them most at risk from exposure to processed free glutamic acid. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that infant animals fed processed free glutamic acid when young develop neuroendocrine problems such as gross obesity, stunted growth, and reproductive disorders later in life, and that they also develop learning disabilities. (truthinlabeling.org) • Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance. Since its introduction into the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks, and fast foods we are tempted to eat everyday. One of the primary and most consistent effects of MSG and other excitotoxins is triggering "an insulin/adrenalin/fat storage/food craving response." That response is what causes the, "I'm hungry again an hour after I eat Chinese food," quandary. It is also why some of us crave potato chips and other snack foods that contain monosodium glutamate, even though we're full. (Moss, 2007) • Some of the most common symptoms of MSG sensitivity or allergy include headache, sometimes called MSG headache, flushing, numbness or tingling in or around the mouth, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, muscle tightening, or lightheadedness, migraines and even mood changes. Studies have been somewhat inconclusive, though many in the scientific community believe that some neurological orders and behavioral issues may be caused by monosodium glutamate. Attention deficit disorder, anxiety attacks, neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's, fibromyalgia, MS, Parkinson's and even autism may be caused by or intensified by severe allergy or sensitivity to monosodium glutamate. (Moss, 2007) The FDA and EPA have given MSG a pass, meaning no testing was ever done prior to acceptance. • Other names for MSG are: Accent, Aginomoto, Natural Meat Tenderizer, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, monopotassium glutamate, glutamate, glutamic acid, gelatin, dextrose, cornstarch, citric acid, calcium caseinate, textured protein, autolyzed plant protein, hydrolyzed plant protein, yeast extract, yeast food, nutrient, sodium caseinate, and autolyzed yeast. (msgmyth.com, 2005) • Foods made with the following products that often contain MSG: Malted barley (flavor), barley malt, malt extract of flavoring, maltodextrin, caramel flavoring (coloring), stock, broth, bouillon, carrageenan, whey protein or whey, whey protein isolate or concentrate, pectin, protease, protease enzymes, flavors, flavoring, natural chicken, beef or pork flavoring, seasonings, soy sauces or extract, soy protein, soy protein isolate or concentrate, cornstarch, flowing agents, white rice or oat protein, protein fortified anything, enzyme modified anything, ultra-pasteurized anything, and fermented anything. (msgmyth.com, 2005) • Monosodium Glutamate is being sprayed right on fruits, nuts, seeds, grains, and vegetable as they grow. The spray most widely used is called AuxiGro, which is a “free glutamic acid” or so called “L-glutamic acid” component being used by its manufacturer, Emerald BioAgriculture. This compound stimulates the plants to grow and contain MSG. Since the produce going into the process foods inherently contain MSG, the manufacturer can claim that no MSG was added on the label, while still containing it. (truthinlabeling.org) • Crops that are being sprayed with MSG compounds are: Celery; Fresh Market Cucumbers; Edible Navy and Pinto Beans; Grapes; Bulb Onions; Bell, Green and Jalapeno Peppers; Iceberg Head Lettuce; Romaine and Butter Leaf Lettuce; Peanuts; Potatoes; Snap Beans; Strawberries; Processing Tomatoes; Fresh Tomatoes; and Watermelons. (truthinlabeling.org) • With corporatism insatiable need to produce profits via any means possible, fair or unfair, highlights the reasons to regulate the food industry away from monosodium glutamate. I can perceive the boardroom executive showing charts of sales growth by just adding this artificial seasoning. Increasing sales at the cost of the client’s health through growing obesity rates; this is why America is the butt of every world wide joke. Fat, lazy, and stupid Americans, we can not help it, our food & water is tainted and sanctified by our Government, to which we lack the will to question because the distraction box is too damn interesting.
56. Thirty-Five Hour Work Week – Reducing the forty hour work week to thirty-five or even thirty hours a week will increase available jobs, thus reducing unemployment. The key part of this adjustment is that of overtime, presently if you work in excess of forty hours in a week, you are paid overtime or time and a half. Reducing overtime laws to thirty-five hours would force employers to add more shifts and hire more employees.
57. Thirty Hour Work Week and Health Benefits – If you work thirty hours a week you are eligible for employer funded health benefits. The national trend now is for employers to hire or design employment for under the forty hour work week to avoid paying health benefit programs for employees. Hawaii has a thirty hour a week with paid health benefits. It is a slight burden on employers but once passed it was accepted and has not reduced employer demand for workers.
58. Retirement Incentives – In an effort to increase the numbers of citizens who choose retirement at age sixty-five, institute a law stating that if you do not accept retirement at this age, your retirement benefits shall decrease later on. Retirement increases the numbers of jobs available. Right now we have monthly increasing unemployment numbers. Retirement incentives or mandatory retirement age can increase the numbers of jobs available on the market.
54. Ban High Fructose Corn Syrup: High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) is not broken down like other sugars. Normal sugar is broken down by the pancreas, which results in the body releasing insulin to moderate blood sugar. HFCS is not recognized by the body as a sugar, it is broken down by the liver. Since the body does not recognize HFCS as a sugar, blood sugar level spikes wildly causing a reduction in the feeling of being full since it does not trigger the normal sugar and insulin response. HFCS has been linked to cirrhosis of the liver, fatty liver disease, type II diabetes and obesity. HFCS is cheep to make and has replaced nearly every food that once contained sugar. Most HFCS foods are aimed at children or young adult consumption. At the very least, ban HFCS from all cereals, juices, and bread products. The rise in obesity rates has direct links to HFCS and should be recognized as such. Stop subsidizing HFCS and restart subsidizing other sugars such as beet and sugar cane products. 53. Felons Should Have Voting Rights – Some states prohibit felons from voting, and two states have completely removed felons from ever voting again. All citizens, regardless of conviction status must have the right to vote. The only way to remove voting rights from any individual of the United States is to completely remove their citizenship or death. The reason why felons have moderated voting rights is that they mostly vote democratic, this is not a sustainable argument to remove or moderate their voting rights.
52. Forbid Congressmen from Owning Military Stocks: Should there ever be a vote in congress to end any of the current wars, then those congressmen who own military stocks must abstain from this vote. Since, any military reduction would impact the valuation of military stocks; they have a reason to keep the conflict going. Since this could call in question the ethics of our Federal congressmen, owning military stocks should be discouraged or outlawed. The same could be said for oil and financial institution stocks.
51. Monsanto – Many Reasons to Pierce the Corporate Veil and Prosecute: Monsanto is the largest producer of genetically modified seeds, in the world. Monsanto is a monopoly and should be broken up. This corporation is, by my consideration, the most corrupt private organization in the world, second only to big oil or Wall Street bankers. Their goal is to control all food by redesigning seed with foreign traits. Whether these traits are beneficial or toxic, no one will ever know, until it’s too late. They have gotten around the FDA requirements to test their redesigned foods by propping up their own phony research and arguing that to retest by the government would we a waste of time and taxpayer money. They had board members appointed to the FDA to write their own rules. Monsanto certainly knows how to manipulate our government to do whatever they feel like doing. Monsanto was originally an herbicide producer, with such famous labels as Round-Up herbicide, pesticides, dioxins, DDT, rBGH bovine growth hormone, PCBs, aspartame, and Agent Orange. Now they modify seeds with foreign genes. Monsanto does not modify seeds by genetically assessing the genome of the seed and adding foreign DNA precisely to a known location of the seed genome. Monsanto adds foreign DNA by the shotgun method of coating very fine metallic slivers with foreign DNA and shooting it into the seed that has been soaked in an enabler formula. The seed that germinates and does not overtly show bad mutations is the seed they foster onto the world. • Round Up Ready modified corn is a corn that is resistant to a direct spray of Monsanto’s Round Up herbicide (glyphosate). This allows farmers to spray entire fields with Round Up to control weeds. Round Up was once packaged with the label of biodegradable, but since had to remove this as it was untrue. I do no know if or how long it takes for Round Up to break down or whether the broken down components of Round Up are harmful to people and the environment. I do know that DDT that was once approved as a pesticide was not harmful in its unbroken form, but once light broke it down into component parts it became highly toxic and a deadly carcinogen. DDT was not water soluble and it bonded to fat, which means it is still in those fields where it was used forty years ago. • Break Monsanto’s patents on seed bank genomes. Monsanto raided many seed banks and took seed samples, had those genomes genetically mapped, and then patented them all. Monsanto didn’t invent these genomes; they only had them genetically assessed. No rights of ownership should be given to this company for seed varieties held by seed banks. • Ban Terminator seed technology. Terminator is a new seed design that only grows if a special coating or fertilizer is used. Grains produced from terminator variants are sterile. Corn is fertilized by wind blown pollen from the tassels. Pollen can cross species from other fields by this act. Genetic drift from terminator strains will sterilize the genomes of other genetic variants. The reason for creating this sterile seed program is to lock in their profits. Each season farmers will have to come to Monsanto to buy seeds, they will not risk the potential of other seed types since they may be contaminated with terminator. If the farmer saves seed from prior year’s harvest it could be infected with terminator and once planted, may show voids in the field were seed never germinated. Once this genie is released in the genetic winds, it will become unstoppable. • Ban “rbGH and rbST hormones used in increasing milk production in cows. These chemicals are injected in cows every two weeks in mega doses. These artificial hormones are very similar to human growth hormones and do leach into the milk, especially the few days after the biweekly mega dose of hormones. Pasteurization does not remove or destroy any of these growth hormones. Milk products from producers that use these hormones must be separated from those who do not and labeled as such. Iowa used to have the best milk in the industry, not anymore. These hormones do affect the flavor of the milk. I was in Hawaii for a few months and their diaries do not use artificial growth hormones and their packaging labels say this “No Artificial Growth Hormones”, also the milk tastes great. Cows who are injected with these hormones often suffer from udder diseases, which increase the needs to inject them with an antibiotic, which also leeches into the milk. Currently milk produced in Iowa carries the label, “No Artificial Growth Hormones Added” or “No Hormones Added” this is an intentional mislabeling of a product, since no where in the world does any dairy add growth hormones to the milk, they add it to the cows that produces the milk. • I encourage everyone to view the movie “The World According to Monsanto”
49. American Farmer Rights to Save Seed: American farmers should have the right to save seed for next years planting regardless of genome used. No business or person should ever own a patent on life.
46. Repeal H.R. 4541: Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000. Commodity Futures Modernization Act was passed along with twenty-five other bills in H.R. 4577: Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2001. This bill was pitched as an increase in regulation but in fact it was a deregulation bill. This bill legalized credit-default swaps (CDS). This bill also made legal derivatives, which is a form of gambling upon assets that are not owned by the better. Derivatives can be hedged, which is likened to placing a side bet on your bet. • This practice of packaging large numbers of bills should not be allowed to happen. Each bill must be considered on its own merits. Should congress continue with the practice of packaging bills, then the President of the United States must have line item veto powers as part of the constitution. Congress must have a system to overrule the line item veto power, should a super majority exist. This implies that congressmen actually read every bill that is passed; I doubt this is true. The reality is that most party politicians seek advice from their party leaders and vote party line. Another indication that a two party system is a less efficient system.
45. Repeal S. 900 [106th]: Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999: Amends the Banking Act of 1933 (Glass-Steagall Act) to repeal prohibitions: (1) against affiliation of any Federal Reserve member bank with an entity engaged principally in securities activities (securities affiliate); and (2) against simultaneous service by any officer, director, or employee of a securities firm as an officer, director, or employee of any member bank (interlocking directorates). (Gramm, 1999) This bill legalized bank fraud. This was not the intent of this legislation but was the result. This made collateralized-debt-obligation (CDO) and credit-default-swaps (CDS) legal. The creation of CDO’s spurred a massive explosion of irresponsible and predatory lending. The really astonishing aspect of these securities was that they were able to get AAA bond ratings. “Rolling Stone” writer, Matt Taibbi, wrote “The Big Takeover” spells out the history of this financial mess very well. The question that you the citizens must ask now is who passed this bill and why are they still in power. One senate and one house representatives from my district of Iowa signed this bill in the affirmative. • One idea proposed to deal with the bank securities problem was to institute a bad bank program where the United States pools all of these securities together. This is a good idea. Once all of these securities are pooled, they then can be pulled apart. The asset pool created can then be better assessed as to value. Large holders of these securities can wait out the valuation or take hard assets as repayment. Valuations must be based on fair value coupled with future valuation estimates.
44. Vote NO to H.R. 875: Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 – The penchant of congress to give bills glorified names is astonishing. This bill is another example of such miss labeling. The March 16th, 2009, version of this bill was very broadly defined. The definition of farmer could affect everyone in this country that grows produce for sale or even back yard gardens. This bill would mandate federally approved fertilizer, food additives, and herbicides. This bill was introduced by Rep. Rosa DeLauro [D-CT] who is married to a former Monsanto representative. Whether this bill was written by Monsanto, is anyone’s guess. This bill places very stiff penalties to anyone who goes against this law, up to and including one million dollar fine, even to first offenders. Essentially, this bill is anti-organic legislation that must be voted down. It requires farms to tag each produce item as to when it was harvested and by whom. • The driving ideal of this bill is to introduce food protection legislation, but most of the food problems that our nation has faced were originated not at the producer level but at the processing level. Food processing businesses under the sponsorship of Bush’s initiative of self regulation, has found it is cost effective to cut corners on food safety. Legislation to enforce food safety should be focused on the food processers and not the food producers.
30. Protect and Defend Free Energy Inventors. The United States Government must write laws to protect and defend “Free Energy Inventors.” Free energy is simple to create it just requires the political will and protection to flourish. Presently, Obama is nearly ready to pass “Cap and Trade” legislation that will place a cost on carbon pollution. This tax is all ready figured into future budgets. Since this revenue is all ready spent, any free energy device would not be accepted since it could interfere with future/present tax outlays. • Free energy inventors are a persecuted class of citizen. Every inventor that shows promise has been threatened, slapped with secrecy orders, stolen, beaten or killed for their ideals and inventions. The powers that be are deeply embedded with the carbon fuel industry. The largest fraud in human history is that of carbon fuels. Ever since Nikola Tesla, 1943, has free energy devices been suppressed. Today, you can Google “free energy” and come across thousands of inventions along those lines. Innovation should be protected; it is our future and without it, this country will die. Stop suppressing the one thing that makes America a great country. I have heard there are in excess of 30,000 secrecy orders on new ideas and technology, since it may clash with the powers that control energy. Reviewing and releasing these secrecy orders could the be fast route in reviving America’s economy. • The electric generator has not evolved much since its conception. One unit of energy in resulting one unit of energy out. This is a very inefficient system and it has stayed this way because it very profitable for the carbon fuel venders. I have personally seen devices that implore greater efficiencies in energy creation (web searches), but will never see the light of day because it threatens the carbon venders’ bottom lines. Presidents and congressmen have promised for years to combat the problems of energy but they talk the talk but not walk the walk. Google “free energy” or “HHO gas engine.” You will find its there, but its just being wiped out systematically by those who want your money for heating your homes and filling your gas tanks. Carbon is the greatest con job in human history. • I dream of a day when the energy to heat my house, drive my car, and power my electronics was absolutely free. Where a neighborhood banded together to purchase an energy device to power their street thus removing themselves from the grid. The end of the oil age and into the golden age. This is my dream and it can be now, but it is systematically stamped out by the powers that control our daily lives. Innovation which was our nations driving force has ended, but it is not dead, it simply needs your protection to flourish. Innovation is what drives our economy; it supplies jobs and opportunities. Innovation can lift our country from this rut of depression. Innovation is the key that unlocks the next golden age of mankind.
29. Nuclear Arms Reduction: It is estimated that United States contains 10,000 nuclear warheads. The release of radioactive material should be prohibited in every country in the world. Treaties that unilaterally reduce nuclear arms should be put forward. Currently the United States has a written agreement to reduce our stockpiles of nuclear weapons to 6,000 by 2012, this policy must be followed. • “On May 23rd 2002 Presidents Bush and Putin signed the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty between the US and the Russia. Hailed by the Americans as marking a 'new-era' in relations between the two countries, it commits them both to reduce their current arsenals of strategic nuclear warheads from around 6000 each down to between 1700 and 2200 each by 2012 (US Dept of State, 2002).” (Parkinson, 2003) Regardless of which party follows and which party does not, the United States must follow this mandate and reduce the numbers of nuclear warheads. United States of America should be the one that sets the example or leads by example, rather than point to the other side and pout; they didn’t do it so we don’t have to either. This argument doesn’t work in the school yard and shouldn’t work for our government either. • The total number of US nuclear warheads is unknown to me. If you search the web, you will find all kinds of numbers. It is up to the government to disclose the extent of our nuclear stockpiles, but with these days of shredding government integrity, doubt will always remain with any number they would cite. I do not feel assured that our government knows how many warheads we have or that we know were each of them is located. After all, we have accidently shipped a few to Vietnam during Bush Jr. Administration. • Nuclear disarmament treaties should not be based on numbers of warheads but yield of warheads. A megaton nuclear warhead is like hitting a nail with a mountain.
27. Review of Mass Media News Companies: The extent of the news underreported by our media is astounding. All public news agencies have a fiduciary responsibility to report the whole news and the whole truth to the citizens. News agencies that only show selected/edited/redacted news to the public do the citizens a disservice. I call on the immediate revocation of the Fox News Network operating license for being a mitigating factor of truth; for no less than one year. Standards and expectations must be regulated or defined for the public good. I am not voicing censorship, or removing the freedom of the press. I am stating that should news agencies that promote opinion, must label the discussion as opinion. Furthermore, the use of multiple United States Flags in any televised news program must be limited to only one. I have been told that the Pentagon directly controls/owns most of our media outlets, should this prove to be true, then this practice must be stopped and criminal charges considered. • The fourth estate is dead. How do I know this? June 9th, 2008, in the House of Representatives, Dennis Kucinich gave his five and half hour speech outlining thirty-five counts of impeachment of the executive. Impeachment of George W. Bush and Richard Cheney. The following day, June 10th, this bill was reread into the House of Representative record. I followed this on C-SPAN. The house quickly voted this bill into the House Judiciary Committee where it died. No reason was given to any of the articles of impeachment, just a resounding no to this bill. Not one media outlet covered this bill. Not a single newspaper, television news agency, or talk radio talked about this historic bill. This is how I know, the fourth estate is dead. But I hope it’s not buried. For those who do not know, the fourth estate was an un-official fourth branch of the government. The media at the time of our government’s creation was in charge of reporting on the actions of the government. WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is morphing into George W. Bush, as administration attorneys repeatedly adopt the executive-authority and national-security rationales that their Republican predecessors preferred.
In courtroom battles and freedom-of-information fights from Washington, D.C., to California, Obama's legal arguments repeatedly mirror Bush's: White House turf is to be protected, secrets must be retained and dire warnings are wielded as weapons.
"It's putting up a veritable wall around the White House, and it's so at odds with Obama's campaign commitment to more open government," said Anne Weismann, chief counsel for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a legal watchdog group.
Certainly, some differences exist.
The Obama administration, for instance, has released documents on global warming from the Council on Environmental Quality that the Bush administration sought to suppress. Some questions, such as access to White House visitor logs, remain a work in progress.
On policies that are at the heart of presidential power and prerogatives, however, this administration's legal arguments have blended into the other. The persistence can reflect everything from institutional momentum and a quest for continuity to the clout of career employees.
"There is no question that there are (durable) cultures and mindsets in agencies," Weismann acknowledged.
A courtroom clash Thursday illustrated how Obama has come to emulate Bush.
Weismann's organization sued last year to obtain the notes from an interview that the FBI conducted with then-Vice President Dick Cheney. The interview was part of an investigation into leaks concerning undercover CIA officer Valerie Plame, and the Bush administration vigorously fought the release of the notes.
"The records contain descriptions of confidential deliberations among top White House officials which are protected by the deliberative process and presidential communications privileges," Bush's Justice Department argued in an Oct. 10, 2008, legal brief.
Obama's Justice Department held the same line Thursday.
"The new leadership of the department supports those arguments," Justice Department attorney Jeffrey Smith told U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan during the oral argument. "The Department of Justice is an ongoing entity, and it is not normal for us to update cases simply because we have a new attorney general."
Perspectives, of course, often change once candidates assume responsibility upon taking office. As a candidate, for instance, Obama opposed the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman.
As president, however, he's following Bush's lead in defending in court the federal marriage law, which a California same-sex couple is challenging.
The law "reflects a cautiously limited response to society's still-evolving understanding of the institution of marriage," Assistant Attorney General Tony West declared in a legal filing June 11.
Legally speaking, every administration inherits lawsuits filed against its predecessor. The Solicitor General's Office, which represents the government in appeals, traditionally tries to hold a steady course. Personnel, too, stick around. John Brennan, the CIA director's chief of staff during the Bush administration, is now closely advising Obama as a senior National Security Council staffer.
Whatever the reasons, policy persists.
The Bush White House sought to keep e-mails secret. The Obama White House has followed suit. The Bush White House sought to keep visitor logs secret. The Obama White House, so far, takes the same view.
Petaluma, Calif., resident Carolyn Jewel and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a legal activist group, sued the Bush administration over warrantless wiretaps. The Bush administration said that the lawsuit endangered national security. The Obama administration now agrees.
"The disclosure of the information implicated by this case, which concerns how the United States seeks to detect and prevent terrorist attacks, would cause exceptionally grave harm to national security," Acting Assistant Attorney General Michael F. Hertz declared in a brief April 3.
Similarly, the Bush administration objected to an American Civil Liberties Union request for access to documents that include photographs that reportedly show the abuse of foreign prisoners held by the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Obama administration declared in April that it would release the photographs.
Three weeks later, Obama reversed course and declared that "releasing them, I believe, would be to further inflame anti-American opinion and to put our troops in greater danger." The administration's attorneys followed up with a legal brief, augmented by a 24-page declaration that CIA Director Leon Panetta filed June 9.
"Information containing details of the (interrogation techniques) being applied would provide ready-made ammunition for al Qaida propaganda," Panetta declared. "The resultant damage to the national security would likely be exceptionally grave."
In an interview, ACLU attorney Amrit Singh said that "the trend, as it is now, is disappointing" as Obama follows the Bush lead. The Obama administration now will appeal to the Supreme Court in an effort to keep the photos and related information secret.
On the opposite coast, a similar drama is playing out in a clash over so-called "torture flights."
An ACLU lawsuit, initially filed in U.S. District Court in San Jose, Calif., contends that the Boeing subsidiary Jeppesen DataPlan knowingly supported a CIA operation that flew terrorism suspects to brutal overseas prisons. The Bush administration invoked the "state secrets" privilege in an effort to stop the suit.
"Further litigation of this case would pose an unacceptable risk of disclosure of information that the nation's security requires not be disclosed," the Bush administration declared in a legal filing on Oct. 18, 2007.
The Obama administration now says the same, after a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled April 21 that the case could proceed.
"Permitting this suit to proceed would pose an unacceptable risk to national security," the Obama administration declared in a legal filing June 12.
For both arguments, the two administrations relied on the attestations of the same man: former Bush CIA Director Michael Hayden.

"Further litigation of this case would pose an unacceptable risk of disclosure of information that the nation's security requires not be disclosed," the Bush administration declared in a legal filing on Oct. 18, 2007.
The Obama administration now says the same, after a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled April 21 that the case could proceed.

For both arguments, the two administrations relied on the attestations of the same man: former Bush CIA Director Michael Hayden.
Projected military spending in 2009 is $745 billion dollars; the rest of the world (every country besides US) spends about $500 billion dollars. Terrorism has no face; it is anyone who isn’t us. Who decided that we the USA must have to police the world of so called terrorists? How many innocent civilians have to die to kill supposed terrorists? Is there such a thing as an end to either war/occupation? Is there a benchmark to call a win in Afghanistan? The words “remember 9/11” rings hollow when you take in the fact that we have lost over 5k dead and nine times that wounded of our US soldiers and millions of them, citizens and combatants. The military monetary cost of the war from inception to date is approximately: Iraq $679 billion and Afghanistan $191 billion for a total of $870 billion. (Note: the war cost numbers do not add up, yearly cost of $745 and total cost, I cannot find an accurate source for costs) Now add in the cost of the privatization aspect of the war effort, KBR, Halliburton, Blackwater and other privatized forces, permanent structures and bases, plus the cost of medical treatments, VA benefits, and interest on the debt to fund the wars, the true cost should exceed $3 Trillion dollars.
Now imagine what we could be doing with $3 trillion dollars if we had no war/occupation. We could be using it to fund college tuitions, single-payer health care, social security, Medicare, curing diseases, investments in growing our economy and jobs. It is a guns & butter question; economic gains or imperial military expansion. All this expense so that one person (Bush Jr.) can make his daddy happy and be a war time president, for it was his decision to put boots on the ground, he could have done military air strikes and ended it there.
After you look at 9/11 from the point of view that it was an inside job then the whole justification to invade innocent and sovereign countries brings us to some very dark territory. Defense from what, who, or how? If you add up all the military spending from all countries on this planet, you will not come close to what the USA spends every year. The economic collapse is good for military induction quotas. The military is the employer of last resort for many of our youth. The world wide decline in bee populations is a direct threat to our future food production. Bee populations are declining rapidly every year. The United States is calling this problem Colony Collapse Disorder. I postulate that the decline in bee population has a direct correlation to the increase usage of genetically modified organisms. In fact, the rate and growth of Colony Collapse Disorder, closely mirrors that of Bt organism growth. This connection should not be overlooked or disregarded. When bee populations become too reduced in numbers to be determined as ineffective instruments of pollination, then our nation’s ability to produce food staples will rapidly decline. “According to experts, if bees were to become extinct then humanity would perish after just four years.” (Latsch, 2007) • The study in question is a small research project conducted at the University of Jena from 2001 to 2004. The researchers examined the effects of pollen from a genetically modified maize variant called "Bt corn" on bees. A gene from a soil bacterium had been inserted into the corn that enabled the plant to produce an agent that is toxic to insect pests. The study concluded that there was no evidence of a "toxic effect of Bt corn on healthy honeybee populations." But when, by sheer chance, the bees used in the experiments were infested with a parasite, something eerie happened. According to the Jena study, a "significantly stronger decline in the number of bees" occurred among the insects that had been fed a highly concentrated Bt poison feed. According to Hans-Hinrich Kaatz, a professor at the University of Halle in eastern Germany and the director of the study, the bacterial toxin in the genetically modified corn may have "altered the surface of the bee's intestines, sufficiently weakening the bees to allow the parasites to gain entry -- or perhaps it was the other way around. We don't know." (Latsch, 2007) • I demand that the United States government, Universities or research groups immediately begin testing the relationship of Bt grains and bee health issues to determine the future value of Modified Genetic crops. Should it be determined that Bt crops do harm bee populations, then Bt organisms must be expunged from all use in every country, state, and province.

Add a little insurance on the CDO, in case the asset defaults, and sell to the world market with triple AAA credit rating. Most of the creative loans contained scheduled rate increases around 2009. The system was set up to bust.
3) Congress & Bush: Passage of H.R. 4541: Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000, which legalized credit-default swaps (CDS) and made derivatives legal. A derivative is a form of financial gambling upon assets that are not owned by the better and those bets can also be hedged, which is likened to buying insurance on your bet. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) never had jurisdiction to moderate or regulate derivative betting, at least during Bush Jr. Administration. Derivative betting quickly became larger than the combined economies of the entire world.

5) Bush Jr., Congress, and Supreme Court: The rise of the terrorism tactic to demonize a group of humanity that never attacked the United States, aka. Taliban. United States attacks a sovereign country without permission of the United Nations in direct violation of a signed treaty; this action is in direct violation of the constitution of the United States. The Supreme Court did not uphold the constitution. The United States and Afghanistan war starts October 7th, 2001. Then on May 1, 2003, Bush Jr. declares war on Iraq because they had weapons of mass destruction (lie), to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism (lie), and to free the Iraqi people (their system of government kept the religious fanatics in line with fear of a central power). The real reason to invade Iraq was resources (oil), war profiteers (Halliburton, ete.), military defense industry inventory turnover (stimulate the war economy), Bush Jr. will to be a famous war time president and fulfill what daddy started. On March 23, 2009, Federal Reserve Bank announces that it is now going to monetize the U.S. debt by committing to buy up to $300 billion in long-term Treasuries over the next six months. The Fed also said it would buy up to an additional $750 billion in agency mortgage backed securities, adding to an existing program to buy $500 billion of agency Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS). It will also double the size of its purchase program for Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) debt to $200 billion from $100 billion. Each time the Federal Reserve Bank purchases a junk of the securities, all markets jump in prices as large infusions of unbacked digital currency is created, aka inflation. It is now widely recognized that the bond rating for U.S. securities will be downgraded from AAA to AA, soon.

The United States Government failed in their obligation to mandate testing of Genetically Modified Organisms for human consumption and environmental impact on essential insect populations and health. In the late 1980’s several seed corporations spent a minor amount of money to develop the shotgun method of genetic splicing. These seed companies inserted traits to grains that made them resistant to their brands of herbicide, and strains that where resistant to insect pests. Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) plants kills corn borer insects that eat any part of the plant. The Bt protein breaks down in the digestive track of the insect, then it generates as shorter protein that binds to the wall of the intestines, which damages the cell membranes, thus causing intestinal leakage of fluids into the body, killing the insect. The rational in using Bt bacteria in genetic splicing, was due to the fact that this poison is used in liquid insect killer by farmers and gardeners, for over forty years, with no known side effects to humans or animals.
Today, each and every citizen of the United States, and much of the world, are eating this modified grain in some form or another. Every citizen is undergoing the “Great Human Experiment” to see if this grain modification will produce changes in our intestinal track. Only time will tell if this change in human, animal, and insect intestinal tracks will be harmful or negligible. I suspect that Bt products produce a thickening of intestinal walls of all animals and insects that ingests this product.
Every country that grows GM grains is seeing massive bee population die offs. I postulate, that the massive decreasing bee population is directly correlated to the increase use of Bt organisms. Pollen from Bt plants (corn, soybean, cotton) are collected by bees and stored for later use. The corn conspiracy continues. In the late 1990’s modified grain exports where rejected in Europe for animal or human consumption. United States then found that it has large supplies of crops that they couldn’t sell abroad. The sale of unmodified grains to foreign countries would feeds millions of people and lowers trade imbalances. Up until that time, ethanol was a minor fuel additive only known in the Midwestern states. Congress, in its infinite wisdom, started to enact laws that would promote the distillation of corn to ethanol. They packaged ethanol as a fuel additive that will reduce the nation’s dependence of foreign oil. To promote the domestic distillation of corn ethanol, congress enacted laws that subsidized ethanol production by giving refiners a federal 51 cent-per gallon excise tax credit for meeting the federal Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) mandate. To keep cheaper foreign ethanol out of the country, congress enacted a 54 cent-per-gallon tariff. Meaning, if congress really cared about increasing ethanol substitutes, then why enact a protective tariff of foreign import of this resource? Ethanol is merely a device used to justify increasing use of genetically modified organisms (GMO), by providing an excuse that such crops are intended for feed animal staples and domestic ethanol production, only. But the reality is, grain management does not provide a sufficient program of grain separation/segregation to the designated end user; nor does management test the genetic purity of grains in which it manages, nor does the end user test for genetic modification. Congratulations for the special word use of “socialist,” a word used to shut down critical thinking in USA for generations. Socialization of services has been a staple of American life for hundreds of years now, such as United States Postal Service, police, libraries, firemen, and local governments. They all add value to the American experience, because they are essential to a functional society. The right to vote must never be part of a political campaign. What part of any free nation prohibits any groups within it from voting.
Discussing the Process: Federal Constitutional Convention
A vote for a Federal Constitutional Convention is also likened to a “no confidence” vote in the federal governments’ abilities to administer to the public good of its citizens. What if we do decide to have a Federal Constitutional Convention? How could such a process start and proceed? What changes would the process change in our daily lives? What changes could we expect? How can we the people participate in the construction of a new constitution that would address our ideals and values while preserving out freedoms and bill of rights?
A vote for a Federal Constitutional Convention can only be called for by a two third vote majority of the House of Representatives (290 of 435 members) or a two third vote majority of the states (34 of 50 states). The vote to impeach the executive branch of government is the sole power of the House of Representatives. There is no listing in the constitution that allows for a general public vote for a federal constitutional convention. However, a public petition would have the power to make effective change by voicing our request in mass to our respective state government.

A grass roots movement of petition is the only way to spur the thought of any real change in the current form of government. Today’s government system is not responsive enough to the needs of the people, meaning unread e-mails, robot replies, corporate lobbyist, and catering to a few special interests does not represent the masses. A fundamental change in our constitution can put the individual citizen in direct but limited control of our daily governance. But this all starts with you the citizen speaking up for yourself. You must rise to the decision. We the citizens can no longer afford our current federal government, nor do we have to stand still and allow it to continue in its decadence.
This petition should be put forth in every city. Distribution of the petition should be very easy with access to the web to deliver formatted fliers, billboard outlays, and procedures in setting up legal public discourse and bilingual formatted petitions. Each site that features this discussion should include survey questions and opportunities for the public to express and be acknowledged for their contributions and opinions. Site may be physical locations with permission from local governments or virtual expression via the web. I would give a physical signature more weight in swaying opinion. Each signature must be accompanied by address information; e-mail and phone numbers would be optional. Demographic data expressed by surveys would indicate the overall attitude and wants of all citizens. Open and public discourse would be encouraged to address all aspects of government and current domestic policies.
Federal Constitutional Convention and Forward: The day that America stopped
Federal Constitutional convention would cause the American people to pause in their daily lives to consider a brighter future, where we the citizens, with our rights and freedom, can come together to form a more perfect union. A divided people united under a new constitution that expresses our thoughts, theories, and technology of the new world.
Representatives from every state would be nominated and voted on by general election process, then sent to the convention. Representatives should not be appointed to the convention by the state senate alone; the people must have a vote and a say in the process. I would advise that several judicial representatives from every state also attend the convention. With the representatives chosen and a location established; the convention goes forward. Daily and complete media coverage to detail all aspects of the process and the on going results/drafts of the new constitution published within reasonable time. A constitution should not just be created behind closed doors then rolled out to the public; a constitution must be ratified by the people it is meant to govern. Representatives will have public funds to draw upon that would meet their requirements in producing the constitution; within reason. To discourage special interest parties or corporate lobbyist from overly influencing the content of a new constitution, I suggest setting up a town square stock. This may seem cruel and unusual punishment to some.
The tough decisions will have to be discussed. A Federal Constitutional Convention may be seen by a few states as an opportunity to not rejoin the union of states. With the current large federal deficit and possible civil unrest; a few states may decide or discuss the possibility of going independent. No state should be coerced into the union. No special favor to any one state should be submitted as inducement/incentive to join the union. States may be allowed to declare independence or allowed to declare a period of separation before decision. “The portion of federal debt still owed must be assessed to any state that wishes to depart the union.” (Optional)
Reproduction laws may be decided once and for all, in the convention, or allocated to the individual states to decide. I would hope that the people would be wise enough to see that having the option to moderate our own reproduction system, is in the best interest of all people. Meaning if you want an abortion, it would be available; if you don’t, that is your decision and your freedom of choice. Banning abortions will simply place young people into the position of going underground for the procedure. This may cause many lives, unnecessarily, due to poor procedures, follow-up and unclean conditions. Read the history prior to Roe v Wade, before you condemn free-choice.
The concept of the constitution defines the laws of the land, it also grants the people citizenship/membership to the government. This does not mean that every citizen must serve the government but are considered as part of the club, and have the rights to serve should they desire. I bring this discussion before you because currently the United States is experiencing vast undocumented immigration growth to the tune of 12 million people that may very well be grandfathered into citizenship at the signing of a new constitution. I believe this is a good thing, and those who reside here within the boundaries of the United States or abroad in defense of the country should be considered citizens with all rights there of. Ultimately this decision will be made before the new constitution is ratified.
Convention of the Constitution
All trade groups or societies may call for general meetings for debate. Declaration of group and status period would assess the interest and provisions for assembly. Representatives will be decided by popular groups. Travel expenses and lodging will be provided by the United States general fund. Constitution or amendment recommendations, bills, and change suggestions will be submitted to the elected constitutional draft committee or transition government for consideration. During the trade group or society sessions, a period of citizen platform of ideals may be submitted by attending delegates, and voted representatives may attend further conventions for discussion. Additional conventions of any group may be attended by the elected officers, and new interest groups belonging to said group.
Mass media will record and follow each convention. Active website development to discuss the questions and debate the issues will further allow public interest and decision making. At the end of the meeting all the issues that where expressed during the convention will be written and submitted for popular vote of the assembly and general public. Each discussion will detail the arguments and allow for additional assembly and public comments. Free media coverage of all conventions and public expressed interest and statements.
Any special interest group that goes on massive advertisement aggrandizement of an issue will be publicly repudiated by popular agreement. The size and scope of any minority group advertising expense to justify an issue for adoption must be determined by committee. This would address issues of minority interest who buys commercial time to discuss topics; free media time to all groups will be given and provided by government decree, however this media time may be limited due to large attendance. This could be broken down to channels dedicated to minority interest, and certain channels for popular political group discussions. The free form expression by all citizens must be the overriding principle of free media participation, during any period of discussion. Posted website poles for all issues to asses the publics wants and opinions must be established.
Since not every American owns a computer with internet access, additional public locations with public access may be established. Grants to libraries to upgrade computers or provide high speed access for public participation and discussion must be provided by the Federal Government.

The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of government. Because men are not angels, some government is necessary to secure our God-given rights. Because government officials are men, the powers of government must be strictly limited and constantly held in check.
The U.S. Constitution limits the powers of the federal government. Nonetheless, much that the federal government does today is unconstitutional. We have allowed this abuse of authority to occur because we have forgotten basic truths. We will preserve our freedom for future generations only if we recall the wisdom of the Founders and get back to basics!
Because men created governments (and not vice versa), the rights of government are based on the God-given rights of the individual. An individual has the right to defend his life, liberty, and property; therefore, he also has the right to join with others and form a government to protect his rights. An individual does not have the right to violate the rights of another, and neither does government.
Government should be large enough to secure our God-given rights but not large enough to violate these rights. Anyone who understands this comprehends the proper role of government.
If there were no government whatsoever, our rights would not be secure. Individuals acting alone would be unable to protect their liberty against criminal acts of unjust men. In the absence of any organized government, anarchy would prevail. Ultimately, the criminals would take control and enslave their fellow citizens.
Our rights also would not be secure under a system of total government control. Such a government might grant its citizens privileges from time to time, but it could also take away those privileges on a whim. Whenever government has total power, individuals have none. Remember, the root of the word totalitarian is total!
Communism and Nazism are not at opposite ends of the political spectrum as the public has been led to believe. They are ideological twins! Both are totalitarian, and both are examples of 100 percent governmental control.
Our rights can only be secure under limited government. Liberty is a way station between anarchy (no government) on one end of the political spectrum and totalitarianism (total government) on the other end.
Preserving liberty for ourselves and future generations is not easy. As George Washington warned - "Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force!” Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." The Founders realized that government, like fire, had to be contained, and so they gave us a government of laws -- not of men. These wise men created a republic and not a democracy.
A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes! A lynch mob is a good example of pure democracy in action. There is only one dissenting vote -- and that is cast by the person at the end of the rope.
But a republic is a government of law under a constitution. The constitution holds the government in check and prevents the majority (acting through their government) from violating the rights of the individual. Under this system of government a lynch mob is illegal. The suspected criminal cannot be denied his right to a fair trial even if the majority of the citizenry demands otherwise.
We will either be governed by laws or ruled by men. Because of man's nature, rule by men has always ended in tyranny. Only under a government of laws will our God-given rights be secure.
Defining "Modernism" as a new national party; or why my democratic party left me behind.
I can define modernism in one statement, “Modernism is where you stand on the largest Federal expenditure in the budget; the largest federal expenditure for the past thirty years has always been defense expense. If you are modernist then you define yourself as one who wishes less defense spending and more spending on projects that directly benefit Americans.” Since most United States presidents has either been active in hot wars or cold wars, or has provided a basis for public fear from whatever source; has promoted the idea of greater and greater defense spending. Defense spending is a viscous circle where large sums of monies and debt go to fund many areas of the defense department, the pentagon, and several tools of government such as FBI, CIA, and Homeland Security; then in the form of soft money, some of these funds are redirected to finance the re-election campaigns for those congressmen who agree with larger defense spending. The federal government’s general promotion of fear or mistrust of certain foreign governments helps generate or promote the publics own sense of uncertainty and insecurity; this is a device to justify increasing defense budgets. I await a president or congressman who stands up and says “We are safe, we have nothing to fear, and we don’t need stockpiles of armaments to feel safe. Public funds should be spent on public needs and not for imperialistic ambitions.” I thought this person was Obama; I was wrong. Government agents, who promote ideals of public security without public expenditures, generally do not fair well or continue since the system is designed/organized against such thoughts. Defense contracts are big American business in both the private and governmental sectors. Contractors will spread out the component system parts of a project over several states, hence making removal of those projects difficult to justify job losses.
In the years ahead, the largest aspect of government expenditure will be the national debt and the interest payments for this debt. I don’t see how future defense expenditures can continue at the present rate without severely impacting the United States economy. At some point a leader will have to stand up and stop the madness. The interest on the national debt is consuming $261 billion dollars for the 2008 budget allocation. This represents nine percent of the $2.9 trillion federal budget in 2008. During this time of declining deficit spending, the Federal government is spending zero dollars of actual deficit reduction. For the past seven years, congress has spent more than it had to give, eliminating any surplus and racking up over $3 trillion more in debt.
Excessive government spending was permitted by the two party system. At first, the Republican Party dominated government and gave the initial permission to excess. Then congress became divided by the growing decent of the people, and by the Democratic promise to correct and possibly eject the executive. With the Democratic Party, once again in power by a slight majority, they failed to act on their promise to their constituents, thus incurred rapidly declining approval ratings. The question to ask at this point is, “Why did the Democratic Party not fulfill its promise to correct the wrongs?” I have to wonder if it was the allure of military industrial complex soft money to their re-election campaigns. The government whispered word is that you can spend all you like for whatever you want because once it’s all said and done, it will be blamed upon “the decider,” George W. Bush, lame duck supreme. It would seem that the act of indicting Bush and his crew would only highlight many of the wrongs that congress has put in place, such as the many anti banking regulation laws. An indictment verses Bush could include an indictment of themselves, hence justice is not on the congressional agenda.
The Federal Government could be so much more for the peoples of America. We must stop funding our vast military machine of unaccountability and no wealth creation or this county will deteriorate into an ever increasing police state where free thought will be threatened and people detained for their beliefs. If we box the military, then we can fund comprehensive medical assistance, free college education programs, and so much more. While the military industrial complex has a death grip on our current centralized government, then United States will never progress into the next level of representation.
It is in our governments interests to keep its citizens uninformed and living in a state of fear through continuous campaigns of misinformation via news releases and direct statements from high officials. An uninformed population is a population that does not complain or write to congress; allowing the free hand of government to wage wars and limit liberty.
The American people will never rise up or unit under anyone until they are removed from their comfort zones. To put it plainly, American’s do not give a damn unless it concerns them directly or impacts them directly. We have become a very selfish and self centered society, deeply involved in our own decadence. We think our thoughts and opinions do not matter in the great scheme of things. We are tiny and insignificant. We let our insecurities about ourselves cloud our judgments to the point that we follow blindly any politician that speaks of ever growing military needs. As long as other people fight my wars and it does not directly affect my family, who cares.
And then there is Television, our soothsayer, our happy box, our best friend and advisor. Television does not represent truth; it represents an amusement park, a circus, a carnival, stage actors, football players, it is the boredom killing business. Do not be tempted to believe the illusions television spins, the altered realities presented by boardroom executives. People worship television in that they emulate what they see, eat what they are told to eat, ware the clothing they are told to ware, and believe the political beliefs they are inundated with. Television is the conduit of mass mind reprogramming.
The question now is why are we all so easy to manipulate by our love of self and television? It is because we are all being chemically manipulated to be passive and unquestioning of authority via fluoridation of our drinking water and the poisons in our food, such as aspartame, monosodium glutamate, and high fructose corn syrup. And when these substances make us sick in the long run, we face that situation alone, because the insurance industry cuts your coverage as soon as it determines your to big of a loss statement. Why did US auto industry fall? Simple, they built products that very few wanted to buy. Solution to this problem is to build a product everyone wants to buy. It is clear that the size of our current government has vastly outgrown the antiquated system set up in 1776 by the original constitution. Congress can barely function with the weight of so much legislation; resorting to passing bills in mass rather than one by one consideration. The congressional tactic of earmarking legislative favors is by most definitions, outrageous. The office of the president has gained unprecedented war powers with little intention of relinquishing them. The judiciary branch has failed time and time again to reinforce the constitution, over the other two branches of government. The Federal Government is deeply flawed and seemingly bent on spending vast amounts of future revenue to bail out industries founded upon bad decisions and outright fraud. The time to rewrite the rules has come. The Constitution of the United States is the operating system of our government, nothing more. People fear change, this must be overcome. The last election our country voted for the ideal of change, it is now time to deliver upon that promise.

The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are illegal by the fact that terrorism was created by Americans and not by them. How can I say that, it is easy, 9/11 was an inside job and all the proof is there to support that statement, just look it up. I have posted forty-four ideas, and I can easily add another twenty or so. None of my ideas has anything to do with Obama’s birth records. This idea site was great until June 1st, when the birthers attacked. I have no idea how they organized, but it does seem coordinated. Most citizens are blissfully unaware of this site, but somehow significant numbers of birthers all found it, one day. More categories need to be created to allow more filtering of content. I do not advocate censorship, but the bither movement definitely deserves its own category.
We need to repeal the 27th amendment to the consitution, which states, "Pay raises and Congress. No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened." Instead, congressional pay raises or cuts, should be decided by the state governments or by the states govenors.
I never thought our country would end up like George Orwell’s "1984" big brother. Seems like our governments entire effort is to create untenable laws, prosecute, and put each of us in prison. This is what happens when we keep voting in congressmen and presidents who are so devotedly religious, they write morally ambiguous laws. Knowledge is power and our government wants this power over all of us. The increasing cost of gasoline that you are experiencing is a direct result of the refiners pinching production to increase revenues. There is currently a glut of oil on the market that is being driven up in prices by oil speculation, not by production shortages or slowdowns. Republicans are a morally bankrupt political party. To emphasis this point just look at the position they took regarding offshore accounts hiding profits from taxation, “This practice should not be investigated or stopped since it would create an increasing tax burden on businesses.” What a load. Anyone who hides profits in offshore accounts is basically stealing from the American people, in that they will face higher taxes to pay for lost revenues. The correct stance our government should take is that any offshore accounts that cannot promptly show a 1040 income tax form to associate with these profits should have them completely confiscated.

An orderly public request to each of our respective states to initiate Federal Constitutional Convention would be a bloodless change in government. I will never advocate violence to solve civic problems. Thirty-six states are currently considering declaring sovereignty status under the tenth amendment of the constitution, which states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." States sovereignty basically means that each state must ratify legislation passed by the Federal government in order to have the effect of law, under the respective state. Federal laws that pertain to outside the confines of the constitution are the claimed powers of the states. There are a lot of funky laws being considered in DC right now, many of which can break the constitutionally protected gun rights compact. To regulating organic gardens, to medicating mothers, to domestic spy program, to requiring blood (DNA) samples, to funding fraudulent banker bailouts and overburdening the citizens (aka higher federal taxes that take away from state revenues).
Unfortunately, the American citizen sheeple will not get involved until their comfort zone is threatened. The distraction box is to darn entertaining, and they do not mind eating the poisons that are federally allowed/mandated, MSG, aspartame, HFCS, and fluoride. Government will never pass single-payer health care that we the people demand. Our government doesn’t even bother to represent the will of its citizens, they have the distraction box (television) to preach any side of any story they wish. Truth is television is just an advertisement anymore.
The public own the air waves; we just rent them out to the networks. If we write in laws to allow free equal media time for all those with requirements to run for office, then they must comply or loose FCC licensing. The air time costs the US taxpayer NOTHING. The free air time must be limited to speeches from the candidate in person (taped), no advertisements allowed on the free time. Once this rule is writing into the FCC licensing agreement, we the people can begin to have a broader choice of candidates. With increase in competition, candidates will have to state more ideals, platforms, and legislation ideas to appeal to a wide range of voter demands. I firmly hope we can loose the feel good/bad campaigns and focus on real problems and issues. The main thrust of this is that citizens who run for elected office will not have to raise exorbitant amounts of money to reach an audience. Television reaches nearly everyone and it should be free for candidates to reach them all and provide a format for diverse ideals.

The idea here is if your representative was a do nothing party line voting bum, then you only have to suffer him for two terms. Should he/she tries to run for re-election on the forth term (3rd term auto skip) then they will have a harder time proving worthiness to run that 4th term. People do not take the time to inspect their representation or their voting record. Sheeple of the States America only react if something moves them out of their comfort zone. Being unemployed might be a factor, especially when we learn that our neighbors are all unemployed as well.
We need to protect our manufacturing base with protective tariffs. Yes, I am for abolishing free trade. This would make goods in Wal-Mart more expensive but it would promote domestic job creation in the manufacturing fields. Couple this with increasing manufacturing tax credits will help create low education required jobs. They doubters will say, “Raising protective tariffs during a depression is what deepened the last depression,” and they would be right. During the last depression all countries raised protective tariffs to increase domestic job creation, which slowed cross boarder trade. When we write the law to implement protective tariffs, just put in an end date or stage down to the tariff system, thus other countries may find them less threatening.
Stop, audit, tax higher, and punish any business/corporation that ships jobs out of country. We must end this practice of shipping manufacturing out of America. Confiscate all funds found in offshore bank accounts. The only reason to have funds in offshore bank accounts is to hide income from taxation. These ideas are a good start, but only a start.
Progressive tax system is fair for everyone, just needs to be cleaned up to get rid of the loopholes.
Fair tax or national sales tax is a regressive tax system where the poor pay higher percentages of income on the tax system and businesses pay next to nothing. Also, doing away with IRS would remove any need to launder dirty money. This notion of a national sales tax is the drug cartels advancement of an idea via lobbyists to congress. Follow the money!

Ron Paul is getting way to old, but his message does resonate with me. Denis Kucinich will never run third party, so I am out there as well. OTTAWA – The federal government has asked the RCMP to launch an investigation into the tens of millions worth of precious metals that have gone missing from the Royal Canadian Mint. The announcement comes after an external audit was launched to reconcile the mint's records with the physical stock of metals. And it comes after the Star revealed today that the value of the missing metal was worth more than $10 million.
"I think we are all very concerned," said Rob Merrifield, minister of state for transport, the department responsible for the mint. Merrifield said he "instructed" mint staff today to call in the Mounties to assist with the ongoing audit, which has been under way since early March. The external audit is trying to reconcile the mint's records with the physical stocks of gold, silver, platinum and palladium, the four precious metals used by the Crown corporation in its production of coins and collector sets.
Mint officials remain confident that bookkeeping errors are to blame. But they haven't ruled out theft and some at the institution now believe a police probe is inevitable if the review – due to be released in two weeks – is unable to provide good answers. Given the high value of the missing metals, NDP MP Thomas Mulcair said yesterday that mint staff should be calling on police to immediately launch a criminal investigation. "There's no possible way to explain the loss of tens of millions of dollars through simple administrative or bureaucratic foul-ups and missteps," he said in an interview.
He faulted the Conservative government for not being more forthcoming about the controversy. "People understand that mistakes happen ... but they tried to dismiss the whole thing from the beginning," said Mulcair (Outremont). "Well, if there's tens of millions of dollars missing, there's clearly lots to worry about... This is a really serious amount of money and it deserves really serious attention."
Liberal MP Joe Volpe (Eglinton—Lawrence) said the mint's international reputation – it produces coins for at least 12 other nations – is taking a battering each day the probe drags on with the prospect security may have been breached. "How long does it take for this government to figure out what is going on?" Volpe said. "Either money is running out the door or they have a serious problem making two and two add up to four."
In fact, Volpe suggested the mint and the government already know the results of the audit and are sitting on bad news. "I suspect they have the answer and they have reason for not publicizing it," he said. Mint spokeswoman Christine Aquino yesterday declined to comment on the value of the metals or any aspect of the audit.
"We're going to wait for the review to come out in the next couple of weeks," she said. However, last week she said an unprecedented demand for gold in 2008 put pressure on the mint's internal control systems, which led to the "unreconciled difference" between the gold on hand and the value recorded in the mint's books. In 2007, the mint refined a total of 5.4 million troy ounces of precious metals; of that, gold represented 2.8 million troy ounces, or about 86,000 kilograms. The mint sold 278,616 troy ounces of gold bullion in the form of coins, wafers and bars.

Forward thinking people. I will not begrudge you the right to do so. I however, want an explanation as to why Bush and Cheney was not impeached with the 35 articles, each one of which had the force to remove the executive. I am all for taking the power to print currency away from the Federal Reserve Bank and giving it back to our government where our founders originally intended it to be. We need to print a value backed national currency, based upon metal or equity, something tangible that we own. States are starting to take up fractional banking practices; this will grow the money supply even faster, inflating our currency to where it buys less and less on a daily basis.
Must be nice to have a high paying job so you can look down upon the rest of us who live paycheck to paycheck, were we spend every dime we make just to make ends meet and when prices inflate, well we can find a second, third, or fourth job to compensate. The slave class or lower to middle class is the backbone of this country. If you destroy the progressive tax system and go to a fair tax or national sales tax system, then our purchasing power shrinks accordingly. We are the tired masses who are the ones living the current depression and inflationary trend. We cannot find that extra job to make ends meet. No longer can we afford the frills that we once purchased with our excess money. Food, fuel, medical, and housing are our prime concerns.
We are unrepresented by our congress because we can not afford to pay to be heard. The system no longer represents because it only responds to money and special interests who take the short cuts that poisons our food with MSG, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, and fluoride. Then we become sick from our foods we eat and once our for-profit insurance determines we are too much of a loss, drops our coverage to protect their shareholders bottom line. Then we liquidate everything we own, including our homes to pay the lopsided medical billing practices and become destitute. We then move in with our children’s homes and become multiple generation homes and we pray that our children do not loose their jobs. And when our children’s employers feel the squeeze, they give the employees the option, work for someone else or take pay cuts and in our fear of the uncertainty, we take the pay cuts. This scenario is working itself out, all over America. Live it, know it, you will experience it, the system in the declining days. The great fall of America.

That is not what im saying in this idea. Two on one off, two on, and so forth. Just that congressmen must take the third term off. If they win re-election the forth and fifth term, so be it. Career congressment does this country very little good.
Ask your incumbant, why are you running for re-election, what legislation do you want to enact that you did not get during your last term. This is the quenticental question that must be asked and answered of all politicans.
Love the idea of Supreme Court Term limits, but in order to do this the presidental appointment power would have to be modified. I am not sure that appointment power should be a matter of a public vote or congressional determination. If Roe v Wade was a none issue, in that it cannot ever be touched, as in 28th amendment, then supreme court term limits could be possible. The current supreme court under the Bush Jr. Administartion sure dropped the ball on the constitutional interpretation and enforcement.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) never had jurisdiction to moderate or regulate derivative betting, at least during Bush Jr. Administration. Derivative betting quickly became larger than the combined economies of the entire world. 3) Bush Jr. and Secret Societies: The false flag operation called 9/11. Pentagon losses $2 trillion dollars, the records of which are located in the twin towers. The owner of the twin towers would have had to spent millions of dollars to remove asbestoses and had filed multiple requests to demo the twin towers; requests where denied. Bush Jr. admits prior to 9/11 that he wanted to be a war time president. The real reason to invade Iraq was resources (oil), war profiteers (Halliburton, ete.), military defense industry inventory turnover (stimulate the war economy), Bush Jr. will to be a famous war time president and fulfill what daddy started. The only reason why congress and the president are interested in passage of SR 773: Cybersecurity Act is to control the internet. Every state in our union is experiencing decreasing tax revenues due our current economic recession. This week the unemployment report stated that the month of May figures places the national average of unemployment at 9.4%, this number is only 0.6% from calling it a full blown depression. Cutting expenses, shedding jobs, reducing services, sweeping payroll cuts in salaries and benefits, must begin to match the downward trend of the times. Rather than cutting essential services or education, passing this prison reform would decrease prison populations while at the same time, keeping our streets safe. The other option is to reduce prison populations with prison term cuts which is an open door policy that will fill our streets with more out of work citizens with skills of another nature.

People do not like to be out of their comfort zones. Once they feel that they have a good bead on the truth they are very resistant to anyone who tries to dissuade them from it. I am against dividend payments for they take away from a businesses growth patterns by moving money to those who did nothing but invest to earn it. The growing numbers of suicides in American armed forces has prompted some debate in the past few years. Medical bills underlie 60 percent of U.S. bankruptcies: study

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Medical bills are behind more than 60 percent of U.S. personal bankruptcies, U.S. researchers reported Thursday in a report they said demonstrates that healthcare reform is on the wrong track.
More than 75 percent of these bankrupt families had health insurance but still were overwhelmed by their medical debts, the team at Harvard Law School, Harvard Medical School and Ohio University reported in the American Journal of Medicine.
"Unless you're Warren Buffett, your family is just one serious illness away from bankruptcy," Harvard's Dr. David Himmelstein, an advocate for a single-payer health insurance program for the United States, said in a statement.
"For middle-class Americans, health insurance offers little protection," he added.
The United States is embarking on an overhaul of its healthcare system, now a patchwork of public programs such as Medicare for the elderly and disabled and employer-sponsored health insurance that leaves 15 percent of the population with no coverage.
The researchers and some consumer advocates said the study showed the proposals under the most serious consideration are unlikely to help many Americans. They are pressing for a so-called single payer plan, in which one agency, usually the government, coordinates health coverage.
"Expanding private insurance and calling it health reform will fail to prevent financial catastrophe for hundreds of thousands of Americans every year," Dr. Sidney Wolfe of the Health Research Group at Public Citizen said in a statement.
About 170 million people get health insurance through an employer but President Barack Obama says soaring healthcare costs hurt the economy and force businesses to drop medical insurance for their workers.
CANCELED COVERAGE "Nationally, a quarter of firms cancel coverage immediately when an employee suffers a disabling illness; another quarter do so within a year," the report reads.
Obama told Congress Wednesday he was open to making mandatory health insurance part of the overhaul.
Neither Congress nor Obama are considering the kind of single-payer plan advocated by Public Citizen, Himmelstein and his colleague Dr. Steffie Woolhandler.
"We need to rethink health reform," Woolhandler said. "Covering the uninsured isn't enough.
"Only single-payer national health insurance can make universal, comprehensive coverage affordable by saving the hundreds of billions we now waste on insurance overhead and bureaucracy."
The researchers studied 2,134 random families who filed for bankruptcy between January and April in 2007, before the current recession began.
They used public bankruptcy court records and surveyed 1,032 people by telephone.
"Using a conservative definition, 62.1 percent of all bankruptcies in 2007 were medical; 92 percent of these medical debtors had medical debts over $5,000, or 10 percent of pretax family income," the researchers wrote.
"Most medical debtors were well-educated, owned homes and had middle-class occupations."
The researchers, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, said the share of bankruptcies that could be blamed on medical problems rose by 50 percent from 2001 to 2007.
Patients with multiple sclerosis paid a mean of $34,167 out of pocket in 2007, diabetics paid $26,971, and those with injuries paid $25,096, the researchers found.

I am not fond of snopes, they are towing the corporate line by protecting many falsehoods. Such as the safety of fluoride, aspartame, monosodium glutamate and GMO grains. Paper Ballot Requirement: The use of paperless voting machines will henceforth be disallowed for presidential and congressional elections in all states. Paper ballot provides a concrete record of voter will and intent. The use of voting machines should never be allowed in any state; there will always be a will to defraud and whenever there is a will there is a way.
Provisional ballots should count as a vote. Modern election fraud is about throwing out votes and provisional ballots are generally not counted as a vote.
Election Day should be on a weekend. Voting should be mandatory with fines for not voting. The fine should not be steep but should encourage turn out. Business must allow workers to vote with punitive fines should they not allow workers to vote. Election Day should be reconsidered as more than one day, for instance, Saturday and Sunday. Make election days into holidays.
Institute an online voting system with Real ID as validation device. This would allow people to see that their vote was counted along with individual voting history.
This year I sent in an absentee ballot about four weeks prior to November 4, 2008 election day. I have no way of knowing if my vote was counted or if any absentee ballot was counted. The nature of clouding election committee ballot counts must become more transparent and uniform.

Permanent relocation of significant portion of our burdensome prison population would significantly reduce the public tax burden, allowing slightly lower taxes or redirect funds to the public benefit.
If the United State was truly a representative nation, where our leaders represent the wishes of the population, then one would conclude that prison population rates would be decreasing, since significant portion of the population has experienced the penal system. Bureau of Justice Statistics: 1. In 2007, over 7.3 million people were on probation, in jail or prison, or on parole at yearend – 3.2% of all U.S. adult residents or 1 in every 31 adults. 2. State or federal prison authorities had jurisdiction over 1,610,584 prisoners at midyear 2008; 1,409,442 in state jurisdiction and 201,142 in federal jurisdiction. 3. Local jails held 785,556 persons awaiting trial or serving a sentence at midyear 2008. An additional 72,852 persons under jail supervision were serving sentence in the community.

The only reason to put funds into an offshore bank account is to hide it, take that extra step and set the example that will teach fat cats the ultimate lesson and help fund the Federal government.

I just want to point out the real slouchier president was Bush Jr. who took 879 days of vacation, mostly at his range in Crawford, Texas. The article mentioning this was dated March 2008. Most likely should add another month to his vacation list. The only way that food stamp reform to prohibit the purchasing of empty calorie foods is to change the labeling laws. Foods that contain very little nutritional value would have to be labeled as such. Then and only then, can food stamp segregation of none nutrient foods be effective. Is it possible Obama has never heard of Mark Klein, the retired AT&T communications technician who said years ago that the company shunted all Internet traffic — including traffic from peering links connecting to other Internet backbone providers — to semantic traffic analyzers, installed in a secret room inside the AT&T central office on Folsom Street in San Francisco?
