You all may already know this, but if not, this proposal is no longer viewable by anyone coming to site for the first time, or coming back to site and didn't comment or vote on this already. See http://ping.fm/9Xgl2 for David's article on the deletion. Sad to say I am not surprised, but I am angry. What to do next... Peace

Hi, This to folks who like the general idea with exception of abolishing the senate. If you think about it, does it really make sense for two people from every state to have the same say in things, not to mention what compromises and campaign contributions have been made to get there? I'm reminded of a story about a holiday where the youngest generation's girl asked her mom "why do you cut off both ends of the ham, Mama?" "I don't know, that's what my mom always did." So they ask G'ma who replies "Just did it the way my Mama taught me." and they find Great Grandma and ask her why the ends were cut off the ham and she said "The largest pan I had couldn't fit a whole ham, so I cut the ends off." So, just because you're used to having a senate which has really not proved to be at all useful if you are
one of "the people", look at what progress they have handily managed to keep Congress from doing. If your senator is one you like, you can help them be a member of the house of representatives, the body that is elected to represent you, because there are quite a few congress folks that need replacing.
I hope everyone takes a few minutes to send this to everyone they know.
Peace if we want it bad enough and make some time to create it.
Thank you, David, for putting this out here.
