Well, first of all, you do realize that it was Barack Obama that we elected, don't you? I would love to have been able to have voted for Dennis Kucinich, but unfortunately it didn't work out that way. You're trying to draw milk from a horse.
One of the things we on the Left always allow to trip us out is impatience. Did you honestly think our agenda would reach it's goals in the first year of a Democratic Centrist President's tenure? Achieving these goals is a long term effort that requires a lifetime of commitment. Barack Obama is not the answer, but he can get things started for the next, more Liberal leader. And he's doing exactly that. A foundation to build on. And if we continue to vote for "change", regardless of the candidate who offers it, we will make progress. But it won't be all happy happy joy joy over night.
It's going to take more than just a President to enact such reform, it takes a congress void of Republicans and Blue Dogs and we don't have that. Not yet anyway.
Not a bad list, needs careful refinement. Dump the "eliminate the Senate" stuff.
ICC? Susan Rice already stated the administration's willingness to be involved.
If we amend the Constitution to bar the vice president from exercising executive power who would lead if the President dies? Pelosi? LOL Maybe less amending the Constitution and more focus on grooming the right people to run for office.
Oh, and the original email that led me here stated that "bringing BushCo to justice" was "number one question to Obama online" when in fact that was Marijuana legalization. Better get that part right. Helping people who are sick, dying and languishing in prison takes clear priority over revenge against BushCo. As sweet as it might be.
