I with all my soul BELIEVE that the federal government must, and eventually WILL sue the very existence of the corporation Monsanto. It's repeated crimes against humanity, demonstrated clearly in the PCB pollution of Alabama over decades; it's reckless endangerment of the basic standards of life itself, as in the troubling invention of a 'terminator gene'; and it's utter disregard for the government, as is well documented in the savage penetration of it's own key members into regulatory positions in the government; Monsanto's repeated and callus successes in these matters resulting in: ever more and ever more extreme pollution of the planet, as with round up; the ingestion of harmful substances by the populace who were largely, due to convenient legislation, unwitting, and even purposefully misled, as in the cases of genetically altered products, products with harmful chemicals including, but not limited to bovine growth hormone and round up; are sufficient example of Monsanto's deep desire to self-destruct. Fellow citizens, I also believe in mercy. I suggest that Monsanto be granted it's wish: be stripped of it's corporate status; awarded a fine of the sum of it's assets, which must then be used to offer solace to the people and places it has so irreparably damaged; it's executives and especially those who have also held public office, and therefore the responsibility of the public safety in an oath of trust, be held strictly accountable to the federal government and the people as individuals acting.
Food must no longer be: exposed to sewage sludge; genetically engineered in any sense outside pollination or grafting; fed or otherwise injected with steroids or growth hormones or antibiotics or any substance that cannot be considered food or vitamin or necessary medicine for a specific illness; treated with pesticides harmful to humans or the territory; a source of toxic waste. *This is how we used to make food* It can be done.
DNA must no longer be something that can be owned. Yikes! Yikes that that is even a question!
The FDA must re-examine it's past decisions in greater detail, and with greater transparency, diligence, and loyalty to the poor families buying the cheapest of the cheap food, consider their future policies on safety.
The decision that there is no difference between traditional horticulture and modern genetic engineering of food must be overturned.
The farmers against which Monsanto has sued must be compensated, and their farms restored to them.
