Bring our troops home from Afghanistan 

We have not declared war on Afghanistan or the Taliban, therefore, we have not business being there. We are not the world's police force. We should not be spending money and lives on "Overseas Contingencies." This is no different than Bush's policies except for a change in terminologies. Walks like a duck, spends like a duck, it's a duck.

Exec Orders aren't Constitutional and should be Disallowed 

Exec orders aren't lawful in the first place and they have been abused by many a POTUS, especially by the last one, who manage to weaken our liberties and rights more than any other (look it up). The current POTUS used 16 EO's within his first three and a half months? We need to eliminate the risk of any more of this intolerable behavior.

And... Executive Signing statments must be disallowed for the very same reasons.

Congress is in place as a sanity check right now and while I believe that everyone would like to kick all of them out of office, it's still there job to approve new laws. We must make Congress do its job.

Keep "W" Tax Cuts - don't let them expire 

The central provisions of these landmark tax bills are scheduled to expire over the next five years, which means that taxes will rise dramatically for most taxpayers. Between now and January 1, 2011 (five short years away),

•Tax rates will rise substantially in each tax bracket, some by 450 basis points;
•Low-income taxpayers will see the 10-percent tax bracket disappear, and they will have to pay taxes at the 15-percent rate;
•Married taxpayers will see the marriage penalty return;
•Taxpayers with children will lose 50 percent of their child tax credits;
•Taxes on dividends will increase beginning on January 1, 2009;
•Taxes on capital gains will increase, also beginning on January 1, 2009; and
•Federal death taxes will come back to life in 2011, after fading down to nothing in 2010.

Letting these expire will only make the current economic depression worse.
