Change Marijuana's DEA Drug classification from a Schedule 1 to at least a Schedule 4 or 5 drug. Visit the DEA's drug schedule listings and you will clearly witness the misclassification of marijuana compared to the other drugs in the same category. As the polls unequivocally show the publics' opinion, of this bipartisan issue, is way ahead of the government's and the politicians in favoring a decriminlization and/or legalization of canabis. The decision should be left up to the states whether or not to legalize or decriminalize canabis. For example counties in a number of southern states restrict the sale of alcohol in their districts as per voter referendum. Canabis should be handled in much the same way thus making it a states rights issue and not the Federal government's.
