Makes it easier for spoused and children of permanent residents to live in the US. Currently they have to stay separated for years and often decades.
Country Quotas for LEGAL Employment Based Immigration are Discriminatory and Unconstitutional.

This will help businesses and the economy by making legal immigrants want to live here, buy houses, spend and generally boost the economy instead of being constantly afraid of 10 year waits, inability to switch jobs etc.

As of last count there are more than half a million pending immigration applications! Waits are more than 10 years for people from India and about 10 years for Chinese as compared to about 2 years for people from almost anywhere else.

If this continues, Indians will stay in India and American innovation will suffer from reverse brain drain.
The current sorry state of affairs of Employment Based Immigrations favors people from countries other than India and China. If a company needs a particular individual for a particular position (Employment Based Immigration is for people and companies who could not find an American to do a particular job), it does not matter if that person is from India or China or somewhere else. Counrty quotas in Employment Based Immigration are negative to the economy and impact business badly in addition to being discriminatory and unconstitutional.

phil & gypsy_sage,

you have no idea what you are talking about. I'm here legally and I have a US borm child but there is no way I can stay here legally just because of the child. If there is, I'd like to know how because Employment Based immigration sucks!!

I think my posting is being misunderstood.

I'm trying to say that
Legal Immigrant from India = Legal Immigrant from anywhere else in the world.
not Legal Immigrant = US Citizen (until they become citizens)
