I disagreeIt began last October as citizens began to sense that the 2008 elections would bring the most anti-gun partisans to Washington in U.S. history. Their hunch was correct. November of '08 witnessed a sweep into D.C. of Senators, Congressmen, and a President that were all on record supporting strict gun control, many of whom had even supported an outright ban of all handguns in America. http://www.examiner.com/x-3704-Columbia-Conservative-Examiner~y2009m6d18-Whats-driving-the-continued-skyrocketing-gun-sales ...more »

I disagreeEarlier this year, Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N.Y. Introduced H. J. Res. 5, a bill that would repeal The Constitution’s 22nd Amendment which prohibits a president from being elected to more than two terms in office, thus potentially paving the way to make Barack Obama president for life.

I disagreeAny constitutional limit on government power either extends to state and local governments, or none do. Picking and choosing which articles of the Bill of Rights will be respected must stop! Sonia Sotomayor does not believe that the 2nd amendment applies to state and local government, she is wrong about this, or does not care what the law means. The Constitution is the law of the nation, it is the protective shield between each American citizen and government, and between each American citizen and the excesses of democracy.
Tyranny by government is no worse than tyranny by popular vote, both are evil!
The Founders knew this to be true, it is why they formed a REPUBLIC!

I disagree"The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. "The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed--where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once".
