The kind that happened when katrina took out louisiana ...You know ......When our own military...went door to door with guns drawn, attacking and, disarming Americans on private propery, they has no business on.....All the while...Just a few miles away, people were DYING from heat exposure and were trapped on,bridges and outside for weeks....that needed help.....So if we have the SAME kind of weapons they have ...We can protect ourselves from them....If these people wanted to "help" they would have gotten food and water to the many, many stranded people who needed it...........The point is they didnt want to help. They wanted to disarm the people who needed their guns to protect their homes and families from looters...In a REAL TIME OF TROUBLE. Those actions by our "now communist gov." are/ is ABSOLUTE PROOF that we need to protect ourselves from them and, this administration is more aggressive and anti-American than the others...They say that when you really need a friend is when you find out who your real friends are.....Well, in a time of real disaster you find out who you can trust with your safety and who is a real danger to you. The people in Louisiana found out.....

If they have permission to come and stay here....

The problem is that, they not only dont want to learn our language ,laws and, ways.They are buying the citizenships and, the tests they need( from immigration officials) to get citizenship and NO, the kids born to nationals from other countries should be legal citizens of that country.......I have Cherokee/Pawnee and several
nationalities in my line and my kids have 1/2 spanish blood...Do you undestand what I am saying? THEY ARE AMERICANS WITH MIIXED BLOOD...They do not carry flags around showing allegiences to another country......They do not speak spanish....They have been on the receiving end of real discrimination (like my granny before and after she left the reservation) and, they still see whats happening....with immigration and this administration....When my other grsndparets came here to this country from Europe.They had to learn the language and the laws of this land...THEY had nothing in any of the 8- eight( yes thats right 8 ) languages that they spoke to help them get by...No signs ...No interpreters...No help ...They were on their own....This is a problem that can be fixed before people start deciding if 'THEY WANT TO STAY" ...The corruption in the sysytem has to be cleaned up.....

Thats right....In Chicago 70% of the city is here illegaly from latin countries having kids here and being allowed to stay...Except when groups are trying wins sympathy from the public by, taking one or two single parents( usually whos fathers have left,are still in the states also illegally).These people (THE PARENTS)raise their kids that because of their nationality, they should speak the parents native tongue and, act like they do in the parents native country..........You have half of the city of Chciago waving Mexican flags not American, you also are told in the Chcaigo schools .even if your child is hispanic and cant speak the spanish language that .......your child has to learn spanish becuse heor she is latin...They (school officials) dont believe that a child who is American with some or all latin nationality should be taught in ENGLISH....You are right....I cant tell you how many of my neighbors were doing just that...Not here legally but, having one baby after another to so they could stay....I hear its worse in Caiforina...

Ok big dave I have something very constructive to say...You say we are once again on the road to being a world leader....
We are America

We give two ^%$%#@#$#'s about leading the world! We care about our jobs being given away, we care about having a home and not having it conned out from under neath us.....we care about who is teaching our kids in school and what they are being taught...We care that American values stay in our schools,churches and thats right ....Our homes....We care that the un #@#@!!!## are not undermining our right to parent our kids or that child molestors dont have more rights than we do....We care that anti-American officials are not placed in high positions of gov. so that our constitutional rights can be violated yet, even more than they already have been.....If other countries will not respect our ways and our rights to our ways ...then they are not our friends...It is not being a good neighbor by telling others ...you can walk all over us endanger our citizens and oh I forgot.. grab a few billion $ while your at it...We are not obligated to interact with countries that want to harm us or, that have already caused us harm.....If they think they have the right to take war or manipulating actions against us...THEY ARE BAD NEIGHBORS.... Americans want to live and be LEFT ALONE. Only power hungry bastards want to rule the whole world....We are one COUNTRY, not world..We have borders and we want them protected....If you have read all the posts that are asking for the bc.....then......You had time to read the REASONS why ......In America we have the right to ask for the bc...That IS constructive... Ok my granny on one side is cherokee and pawnee so I think I would be here and Im not leaving or goung anywhere...and the others came here legally from europe ...They had to learn English, thye had to learn and follow the laws,laws that I know for a fact the immigrants of today spit on and laugh at...I dont know if you are a young and naive kid or you really think that paying rent constitutes eligiblity for being here???? The terrorist that flew planes into the twin towers payed their rent too....Give me a break...And as for the jobs you say they are not taking........That is also not true .not only are many,many jobs being given to illegals and legals that have bought their citizenship..BUT..They are driving down the wages for the few that have jobs and the workplace......especially for women is intolerable...You either do not know what you are talking about or you are just a lier...And, this country having a complete social breakdown,dangerous environment,traitors in office and lower levels of law enforcement are all due to foreign influence infiltrating/networking in our civilian life and different levels of gov. They are all inter-related and protecting us from the outsiders is the only way to protect the interests of America...We need to start with higher levels of gov...Any official that misintrprets the constitution,,,,,any part ...automatically should loe their position and credentials....Thats how we protect ourselves...If you had to hire a babysitter for your kids would you hire someone to TOLD you what they were going to to with them? Would you hire someone who is a cokehead or was accused of rape? Would you hire someone that wants a law passed prtecting child molestors from hate crimes?
Would you hire someone who would lie to your kids and teach them lies and tells you that there is nothing you can do about it?
Would you hire someone who would protect someone just because they're from another country because they had a hard life and then....tells you thats what they are going to do ? These are the kinds of people that filled positions in our schools and gov for too damn long....Thats why we are in the mess we are in in this country. TOO MANY TRAITORS...AND ARROGANT ONES ALSO...

I have been in areas that are only hispanic...I have lived in areas that are southern and still have some prejudice...I have lived in areas that were once considered mid-class suburban yuppie place....And now are 98% Muslim......I have in my 44 years seen the change that comes from..... over population of these areas with illegals (& legals that get a free pass by immigration officials SELLING STATUS/TESTS) and I remember what these places were like 20 years ago and even 10 years ago and I look at what these places are like now....I get infuriated at the lazy, traitors that have let this happen to my country....I do not know or care if you are a citizen or not...As long as you understand that America does not have to fix the problems of the world....We are not to blame for the absolute state of socialistic trash that heads these other countries.......I feel bad when I hear about someone from a place like mexico struggling through the desert t come here...Then I remember that those people should be taking up arms against the dictators that have them in that situation...You see because of the experiences I have had...I have interacted with many diversities....So I learned that in certain cultures most of a gender or age group will behave a certain way...I know that it is wrong to judge all foreigners by the way most act and believe me most groups from one culture act a certain way....because you take on the traits of the environment that you grow up in .....Sometimes very twisted behavior... My point is...its not prejudice to demand that our borders are closed and that peope are sent out AND KEPT OUT...Evertime people areew deported s-o-b they areriht back here a few months later....The readson why gov isnt working is because of the outside influences that are continually allowed in...Thye have taken over 1/3rd of our land...They have taken over high places of gov and for that alone should lose their citizenship...You speak of the problems of America as though we have to take care of foriegn nationals.........AAnd the problems they bring.....No you are right Rome wasnt built in a day ....What does Rome being built have to do with America being destroyed? We like things the way they are supposed to be.The only change that has taken place in the last 92 years in this country has been manipulated and forced change...We can c solve our problems but ...the way we have to is get the outsiders out and get the real insiders in...gov that is...Get real Americans ingov. Americans that wont look us in the face and lie right at us when they are violating our rights ...Americans that were raised in a real American culture...AND HAVE NO DUAL LOYALTIES OR DUAL CITIZENSHIPS TO OUR ENEMIES OR TO ANOTHER COUNTRY OR IT'S WAYS....That Stealth, is the way we can and will silve these problems....

Ok I understand what you are saying bt Americans are not to balme or, responsible for their non-blessings....We are the only country that sends help to any othere country and still many insist on coming here to live off of us and they have the attitude that we owe them something.I get that it bad in other countries .............So why allow the communist/islamists from these others countries take over our neighborhoods/schools/government here?The christian (many denominations) FROM AMERICA are mostly responsible fro the help these individuals get.....I think you should move to the nearest ethnic city neighborhood before you speak...Maybe A MUSLIM community....I think its good you have empathy but, you should do what the christians are doing ......maybe you'll feel better...

Well the rich have the right to be rich and keep their $.If we are going to make changes in gov. especially spending and budgeting.........No more big self given raises for gov. employees....They should not be payed more than $40.00 a year...That puts themabove poverty level and if it's not enough....Maybe they will just have to take a 2nd job....Lets see if they like having to learn another language to get work in their own country...Or, if they like all of the 3rd world work standards that Americans now have to put up with .Thanks to them....

I believe that people can come here from another country or, be born to American parents and still be good citizens but, in my experiences of growing up in an area that allows one or, two nationalities of peoples " literally to, invade most of a city and its suburbs" with people who 1,refuse to learn the language of that land 2,refuse to learn/obey the laws of that land 3,fly their flags instead of the American flag...It proves that, the politicians/police/immigration officials in that area are disloyal to their own country.....These people(illegal immigrants and some that have gotten citizenship through buying the test they are to take to get the citizenship) are actually loyal to the country they came from and are not interested in loyalty to the U.S.....If they were not loyal to the country they came from, they would fly the American flag and give alliegance to country that is giving them all of the opportunity and freedom...As far as your mother...I have seen that many foreign nationals,,,raise their children to be loyal to the plece in the parents came from....And their ways...even political...

I grew up in Ill and, although there are alot of good people they are al little well, stupid....They let their elected officials take every right away that they have even, at the local level.The schools are horrible ( mostly because of 80% lazy, incompetant arrogant and I think drug induced faculty members that do not care how the kids talk or what is put before them,including a corriculum that has been twisted by nea) local gov. use every door they can open to invade your privacy, take your property, the police refuse to help you when you call them and often turn the crime around on the victim and file false criminal charges,in some cases they pick and choose who they are going to set up for a crime if they dont like the victim or their family, the county gov. uses any resource to bilk you out of every thing you have through taxation....You have entities like the epa and other agencies that orride our constution everyday and the gov. there aids them....They are really twisted evil group of peopl;e that hold most of te public offices in Northern Ill.

He was made a citizen of Indonesia by his step father....It states "according to their law", that you have to be a citizen of that country to attend their schools........And thats not the only issue....everything this guy and his administration is doing is communistic and anti-American.....We dont need or, want a communist gov. here and, we are not obligated to ghange our constitution or, instill a 'New Bill Of Rights" to cater to him or his traitor administration...I like my Bill of Rights......THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Two things. I don't think Obama is deliberately trying to shoo this away. I don't think he believes it is an issue at all. He's ignoring it, but he's not actively hiding anything. He doesn't have to. As I've pointed out repeatly, he already has the law on his side.

Second, the frustration doesn't give birfers leave to invent lies. This whole Kenyan birth story was a deliberate political construct based on lies. The only real issue here is whether Obama is NBC, based on his father's citizenship. Tonchen admits that Congress has never passed a law defining NBC. Hence, Obama is not on the wrong side of any citizenship law.

In the beginning, I sat and watched , just to see if he( Obama) would say "Hey,(while waving thereall bc in their faces) LOOK!" and then add, " HaHa". If you do not know what happened after KATRINA...this is only some of it....Military were able to send men to pound on doors, attack those who didnt want to give up their guns....."their guns",drag people out of their properties and homes...."their properties and homes".
Many of the buildings were entered with their(the armed forces) guns already drawn.....obviously to terrorize....
Just before people were ORDERED OUT.....Or, dragged, or, attacked uncluding an old woman....who had a hand gun DID NOT THREATEN THEM WITH ITY ONLY SHWED IT TO THEM AS SHE WAS EXPLAINING TO THEM THAT SHE DIDNT WANT TO LEAVE HER DOGS......RIGHT before they jumped her....I mean attacked her.....Isnt that the "proper way to state it????? Anyway, people not too far away should have been helped..THAT SHOULD HAVE BEENTHEIR 1ST PRIORITY.....NOTHING ELSE SHOULD HAVE MATTERED...AND IF others had not have needed help............That still should have never happened....My point is very clear.........I believe that these people were waiting for a time of weakness....Sneaky prdators do that... To many Americans( especially those of us that have seen 1st hand reall violence and danger perpetrated by law enforcement and politicians) seeing signs of "real danger" and, then, seriously discussing how "combat" it would not be an issue if our rights were not being violated....When a persons riht to be safe or to protect their kids from "bad influences" are violated..........Among other things....People get upset and Protective (among other things) of their rights....What I think is some of the problem is.....people like me ...cannot understand how soem of the twisted views of others are possible.... Would you help him?

What will America stand for in 2050?
The US should think long and hard about the high number of Latino immigrants.

President Obama has encouraged Americans to start laying a new foundation for the country – on a number of fronts. He has stressed that we'll need to have the courage to make some hard choices. One of those hard choices is how to handle immigration. The US must get serious about the tide of legal and illegal immigrants, above all from Latin America.
It's not just a short-run issue of immigrants competing with citizens for jobs as unemployment approaches 10 percent or the number of uninsured straining the quality of healthcare. Heavy immigration from Latin America threatens our cohesiveness as a nation.
The political realities of the rapidly growing Latino population are such that Mr. Obama may be the last president who can avert the permanent, vast underclass implied by the current Census Bureau projection for 2050.
Do I sound like a right-wing "nativist"? I'm not. I'm a lifelong Democrat; an early and avid supporter of Obama. I'm gratified by his nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. I'm also the grandson of Eastern European Jewish immigrants; and a member, along with several other Democrats, of the advisory boards of the Federation for American Immigration Reform and Pro English. Similar concerns preoccupied the distinguished Democrat Barbara Jordan when she chaired the congressionally mandated US Commission on Immigration Reform in the 1990s.
Congresswoman Jordan was worried about the adverse impact of high levels of legal and illegal immigration on poor citizens, disproportionately Latinos and African-Americans. The principal beneficiaries of our current immigration policy are affluent Americans who hire immigrants at substandard wages for low-end work. Harvard economist George Borjas estimates that American workers lose $190 billion annually in depressed wages caused by the constant flooding of the labor market at the low-wage end.
The healthcare cost of the illegal workforce is especially burdensome, and is subsidized by taxpayers. To claim Medicaid, you must be legal, but as the Health and Human Services inspector general found, 47 states allow self-declaration of status for Medicaid. Many hospitals and clinics are going broke because of the constant stream of uninsured, many of whom are the estimated 12 million to 15 million illegal immigrants. This translates into reduced services, particularly for lower-income citizens.
The US population totaled 281 million in 2000. About 35 million, or 12.5 percent, were Latino. The Census Bureau projects that our population will reach 439 million in 2050, a 56 percent increase over the 2000 census. The Hispanic population in 2050 is projected at 133 million – 30 percent of the total and almost quadruple the 2000 level. Population growth is the principal threat to the environment via natural resource use, sprawl, and pollution. And population growth is fueled chiefly by immigration.
Consider what this, combined with worrisome evidence that Latinos are not melting into our cultural mainstream, means for the US. Latinos have contributed some positive cultural attributes, such as multigenerational family bonds, to US society. But the same traditional values that lie behind Latin America's difficulties in achieving democratic stability, social justice, and prosperity are being substantially perpetuated among Hispanic-Americans.
Latin America's cultural problem is apparent in the persistent Latino high school dropout rate – 40 percent in California, according to a recent study – and the high incidence of teenage pregnancy, single mothers, and crime. The perpetuation of Latino culture is facilitated by the Spanish language's growing challenge to English as our national language. It makes it easier for Latinos to avoid the melting pot and for education to remain a low priority, as it is in Latin America – a problem highlighted in recent books by former New York City deputy mayor Herman Badillo, a Puerto Rican, and Mexican-Americans Lionel Sosa and Ernesto Caravantes.
Language is the conduit of culture. Consider: There is no word in Spanish for "compromise" (compromiso means "commitment") nor for "accountability," a problem that is compounded by a verb structure that converts "I dropped (broke, forgot) something" into "it got dropped" ("broken," "forgotten").
In a letter to me in 1991, Mexican-American columnist Richard Estrada described the essence of the problem of immigration as one of numbers. We should really worry, he wrote, "when the numbers begin to favor not only the maintenance and replenishment of the immigrants' source culture, but also its overall growth, and in particular growth so large that the numbers not only impede assimilation but go beyond to pose a challenge to the traditional culture of the American nation."
Obama should confront the challenges by enforcing immigration laws on employment to help end illegal immigration. We should calibrate legal immigration annually to (1) the needs of the economy, as Ms. Jordan urged, and (2) past performance of immigrant groups with respect to acculturation.
We must declare our national language to be English and discourage the proliferation of Spanish- language media. We should limit citizenship by birth to the offspring of citizens. And we should provide immigrants with easy-to-access educational services that facilitate acculturation, including English language, citizenship, and American values.

Unless the life chances of children raised by single mothers suddenly improve, the explosive growth of the U.S. Hispanic population over the next couple of decades does not bode well for American social stability. Hispanic immigrants bring near–Third World levels of fertility to America, coupled with what were once thought to be First World levels of illegitimacy. (In fact, family breakdown is higher in many Hispanic countries than here.) Nearly half of the children born to Hispanic mothers in the U.S. are born out of wedlock, a proportion that has been increasing rapidly with no signs of slowing down. Given what psychologists and sociologists now know about the much higher likelihood of social pathology among those who grow up in single-mother households, the Hispanic baby boom is certain to produce more juvenile delinquents, more school failure, more welfare use, and more teen pregnancy in the future.
The government social-services sector has already latched onto this new client base; as the Hispanic population expands, so will the demands for a larger welfare state. Since conservative open-borders advocates have yet to acknowledge the facts of Hispanic family breakdown, there is no way to know what their solution to it is. But they had better come up with one quickly, because the problem is here—and growing.
The dimensions of the Hispanic baby boom are startling. The Hispanic birthrate is twice as high as that of the rest of the American population. That high fertility rate—even more than unbounded levels of immigration—will fuel the rapid Hispanic population boom in the coming decades. By 2050, the Latino population will have tripled, the Census Bureau projects. One in four Americans will be Hispanic by mid-century, twice the current ratio. In states such as California and Texas, Hispanics will be in the clear majority. Nationally, whites will drop from near 70 percent of the total population in 2000 to just half by 2050. Hispanics will account for 46 percent of the nation’s added population over the next two decades, the Pew Hispanic Center reports.
But it’s the fertility surge among unwed Hispanics that should worry policymakers. Hispanic women have the highest unmarried birthrate in the country—over three times that of whites and Asians, and nearly one and a half times that of black women, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Every 1,000 unmarried Hispanic women bore 92 children in 2003 (the latest year for which data exist), compared with 28 children for every 1,000 unmarried white women, 22 for every 1,000 unmarried Asian women, and 66 for every 1,000 unmarried black women. Forty-five percent of all Hispanic births occur outside of marriage, compared with 24 percent of white births and 15 percent of Asian births. Only the percentage of black out-of-wedlock births—68 percent—exceeds the Hispanic rate. But the black population is not going to triple over the next few decades.

Immigrant criminality represents perhaps the worst abuse of the liberty aliens enjoy in the United States. Increasingly, the government closest to the people either finds its hands tied or cravenly abrogates its responsibility to fellow Americans within its jurisdiction. Moreover, the illegal element exacerbates the economic and other burdens caused by legal immigration.
The current high rate of sustained, mass immigration—more than one million legal immigrants plus half a million illegal aliens every year—forces many states and localities into turmoil. The illegals certainly live outside the obligations that those who live under the "consent of the governed" owe to each other: While the principles of the Declaration of Independence guarantee all human beings certain natural and unalienable rights, only parties who have consented to our government deserve the full rights of citizenship. Illegal immigrants are not part of the social contract giving legitimacy to this government. American citizens have not given their consent to higher taxes, crowded schools, jammed emergency rooms, clogged roads, unlawful turning of single-family homes into hotels or apartments into tenements, forced multicultural amenities such as bilingual education and multilingual ballots, or welfare and other services subsidizing poverty-prone immigrants. Above all, they never consented to higher crime rates.

While anyone who decries illegal immigration is required to distinguish it from legal immigration, the effects of legal immigration should first be noted. Robert Samuelson recently wrote in his Washington Post column that "Hispanics account for most of the increase in poverty" since 1990. "Compared with 1990, there were actually 700,000 fewer non-Hispanic whites in poverty last year . . . . Meanwhile, the number of poor Hispanics is up by 3 million since 1990. The health insurance story is similar. Last year 13 million Hispanics lacked insurance. They're 60 percent of the rise since 1990." And of course a growing proportion of the Hispanic population is immigrants poorer than their predecessors. Immigration authorities estimate that 84,000 state inmates are aliens, though state and local figures on foreign-born prisoners are hard to come by. At least three quarters of these immigrant state inmates are in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Texas—the top immigrant destinations.
Figures for 1999 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program compensation show claims of $1.5 billion in documented costs incurred by state corrections and local jails for covered aliens. County governments face a special burden, a 2001 report by 24 Southwestern border counties calculated. They spent, from general funds, $894 million on law enforcement and criminal justice in fiscal year 1999. Many of the costs that criminal aliens impose on all state, county, and municipal jurisdictions are not represented in such figures. To cite just one California example, San Diego now spends $50 million a year to handle illegal criminal aliens.

Some states and localities have begun to accept the Mexican matricula consular ID card, though it has been determined to pose a great risk to U.S. national security. Even before the recently reported crossing of 25 Chechens into Arizona, authorities knew that the illegal aliens pose a national security problem.
Dealing with current levels and quality of legal immigration is an immense problem by itself. But it is clear that until alien criminality of every kind is punished, swiftly and surely, Americans who must live with the consequences will continue to suffer higher taxes, lower quality of life, higher threat and fear levels, and less actual safety.

I lived in an all hispanic area in Chicago. 98% of the people there are illegal and if you dont speak their language or, read it, you literally get into a fist fight or or ignored or, threatened.
