Martin nailed it in this thread's second post.

If I were a Canadian I would be dead right now as the diagnostic tool that found my cancer has a 6 month waiting list in Canada. As it was I was diagnosed within 48 hours and fairly minor surgery took care of the problem. My oncology has told me that because of the type of cancer 3-4 months down the road it would have been inoperable and terminal.

Besides all that, please quote the section of the United States Constitution that allows the federal government to take over our health care system. I mean, obviously, Obama and the rest of the left in this nation have no use for the constitution unless it allows them to kill children or have sex with goats in public in downtown San Francisco, but hey, there are a whole bunch of other parts in that document that were written down to LIMIT the FEDERAL government.

When the federal government doesn't own the means of production but rather controls industry and production what is that called? It is called fascism. It has been tried before.

Thank you for wasting my time with your advertisement. By the way, not a democratic process as this is a republic but hey, why let facts get in the way a new age language and group hugs.

How about instead of an interactive Kumbya session the Obamas sit around and read Americans the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution focusing on the limitations of the federal government, the Bill of Rights, especially the second and tenth amendments. That would go much further to preserve our republic than the suggestions in your advert above.

One of the reasons our Republic's (NOT a democracy, a democracy being something our forefathers warned heartily against) constitution contains strong checks on our federal government is to keep it from becoming so large that it is no longer reactive to the will of the people. The federal government has usurped powers reserved to the states and citizens. If the feds operated within their constitutional mandates such discussions as suggested above would be made at the state and local level.

In short, the problem is not that we are not providing a meaningful voice, hugging and singing Kumbya together, it is that the federal government is far to large. The state sovereignty movement needs to be supported forcing the federal government to retreat to within its constitutionally mandated powers, leaving the remaining powers to the sovereign states and the citizens. Once that happens we don't need all this national dialogue stuff as 99% of governance will occur on the state and local level as our founders intended.

I also do not want the question to go away, I agree that there should be much discussion and that it is important to present as much information on the topic as possible. In my above post I stated that I would like to have the topic discussed in a just a few threads and to have thousands of plus votes and thousands of comments discussing this matter. If it were all in a few places it would have a much stronger impact. Neither iskimo68 or I suggested that anyone shut up about the issue but rather that as many people as possible express their opinions and join in the discussion in a more limited number of threads. What do you think has more impact - 300 threads on this each with 20-30 plus votes or 2 threads on this matter, each with 10,000 plus votes and 5,000 supportive comments discussing the issue?

I'm down with this idea if the free states can secede without threat of violence from the fascist Obama regime. I would assume that the remaining states would also relinquish the Constitution to the seceding states as the remaining states and their messiah obviously have no need for it or desire to use it. The pro-Obama fascists will obviously consist of the Northeast from DC north sans VT and NH, all of CA, OR, IL (although I expect that southern IL will want to join the free states), WI and HI, possibly MI and MN and maybe northern VA. While the free states will still have non-contiguous AK, the Obamafascist states will be quite divided physically. Sure going to leave a huge carbon footprint traveling between those regions (lucky for all of use that man-made global warming is a leftist hoax).

So yes, I accept the proposition. States that embrace constitutional individual freedoms to include all 10 of the Bill of Rights in full, as written without extra-judiciary activist nonsense added in like "separation of church and state", constitutionally limited government constrained by the 10th Amendment ensuring state and individual sovereignty, and which understand that personal responsibility is necessary for personal freedom to thrive will secede from the now bastardized unconstitutional, fascist-sliding union and re-form the Republic of the United States as one nation, under God conceived in liberty and freedom for all with the Declaration of Independence as the revered foundation document and the Constitution, as written (unless properly amended and then as the amendment is written), being the highest law of the land, focused on limited government, personal freedom, personal responsibility and without any divisive “protected class” system or nanny-state servitude. The remnant states are free to continue their leftist fascist economic policies sliding further into debt-ridden, nanny-statist minority-enslaving, self-destruction.

I do have one area of dissent. I think the seceding states should get at least half of the military equipment. Military men and women have sworn an oath to the constitution as given that it wil be the seceding states that are using the constitution and given that the majority of those in the military love freedom and liberty, believe strongly in personal responsibility and tend to abhor fascism and dictatorships, most of those in the military are certain to choose to live in the seceding states. The majority of the population in the fascist states won’t know how to use weapons, are hoplophobic making ability to arm them a moot issue, and think we shouldn’t use our military to fight foreign wars. In other words, they ain’t gonna know how or be willing to use the military even if they have it so we might as well take at least half of it with us. I mean sure, the seceding states already include nearly 80% of all privately owned firearms, ammunition and other weapons but actual modern military equipment is still needed.

Good luck in your Obamafascist statist utopia. I find it odd that a self-avowed anarchist would support such a concept, but then most self-avowed anarchists don’t know what the heck they are talking about especially when it comes to history, politics and economics and even in their self-description.

I think this is an excellent point. I too want to see the original birth certificate. However, I am sick of seeing topic after topic on the issue and it most definitely is diluting the vote. If there were 1-2 topics regarding the birth certificate issue and both had several thousands of + votes and hundreds or thousands of comments in support it would have much more impact, IMO, than having 100 separate posts on the same topic.
