Yes. You can demonize anything. As they say, if it wasn't food 100 years ago, its not food today. Sugar isn't the culprit, it is corn syrup. But corn was more abundant than sugar and sugar came from Cuba as well as other places.
Pepsi recently had a Pepsi brand made with sugar instead of corn fructose. Why? Because our cars have started to compete for the corn by way of ethanol (but that is another argument).
Also I believe that sugar will soon be imported from Cuba as Obama opens relations, but that is another discussion as well.

The bottom line is that the Federal Government needs to get out of the bedroom and the kitchen. I don't need to know the nutritional value of a Krisy Kreme dounut. I'm eating a dounut.

but under Universal Government Rationed Healthcare if I eat too many dounuts I will be denied care. If I smoke I will be denied care. If I drink beer, I'm done.

Meanwhile if I do healthy things like snowboard, skateboard, rock climb, bungy jump, or Gen X extreme sports, you can bet I will be first online for my hip and knee replacements.

Good post... and yes, you have to get passed the title to realize EXACTLY what you are saying. No. To a living Constitution, that can change and morph to the ruling parties will and interpretation.

After all when the criminals write the laws, there are no laws.

WE do not live in a global community. WE chose to live in a soverign nation with its own laws and standards. If you want to live somewhere without birth certificates, by all means do so.

I trust them wholeheartedly.

The CIA has a specfic job to do. It does it very well when no handicapped by some politician in power asking for lawsuits against CIA employees, and calling the agency 'liars'.

There are secrets that the average person doesn't need to know and probably better off that they didn't know.
Secrets that are secrets for the benefit of national security. The world is not a playground where you can settle disputes by putting the bully in the corner for a time out.

You're assuming that people only work on Tuesdays, with your weekend voting. Somewhere along the line you are going to have groups of people angered by weekend voting. Groups claiming that weekend workers are mostly minorities (I have no idea if this is accurate or not)

Manditory voting?? How about you have to take an intelligence test before getting a voting license. If you're not smart enough to vote, I'd prefer you not do so. Not voting can also be considered a protest vote.

It would require that everyone have internet access, and a computer. It would be a surprise to many that many American's have neither.

You have people that can't figure out how to vote, how to us an ATM machine... I can see 100 different governmental agencies making sure people knew how to vote via the internet.

Here's a great idea.. we can give that job to ACORN

Whittingtonz... did you tell all the "nuts" from BSNBC, Code Pink, CNN, NBC, Hollywood, the NYTs, the Washington Post, et.al. to move out of the USA when the continually trashed GWB.

We are asking for something we have the right to ask for. We are presenting logical arguments, (something liberals find problems with), you have a problem with those asking for REAL proof that the supposed POTUS is legally able to take that post according to the Constitution of the United States. I know how that "silly" document gets in the way of all those Progressive Agendas.

We're exercising free speech, which is another problem for liberals, unless of course your speech falls in line with their beliefs. Maybe you would recognize it if we went around spilling pink paint on everything, and chaining ourselves to things.

Here is a tidbit for thought... FactCheck.org is run by the Annenberg Public Policy Center a branch of the Annenberg Foundation. The same foundation that also ran the Annenburg Challenge where Obama in Chicago funneled 1000's of dollars to an organization that was a front for Bill Ayers, instead of putting the money to use in Chigago schools as it was designed. Obama is now against such outside of school funding as shown with school vouchers. (I guess he has to worry about teachers unions now.)

Most of what Obama did was wiped from public view off all of the associated websites for the Challenge. Nice bit of transparency. Therefore anything that FactCheck.org claims in regards to Obama has to be taken with a grain of salt. This includes the their revue of Obama's certificate of live birth.

If FactCheck.org was being honest they would have recused themselves from putting forth anything about Obama since there is a connected past.

The Snopes article points to "those who have examined the document" with a link to FactCheck.org. Fruit from the poisoned tree.

Snopes also points to lawsuits dismissed by judges as frivolous. So it can be inferred that Snopes also supports slavery since Dred Scott was upheld by the Supreme Court. Bottom line.. courts and judges can be proven wrong.

The amount of records (birth, school, etc. etc.) withheld by Obama and his minions only begs the question of what he is hiding.

SOX is a joke the way it is currently applied. It requires many functions that were paperless (eco-friendly!) to now have a paper trail.

The driving force behind this was Enron. Although the crimes at Enron were perpetrated at the highest levels, not at the level of middle management where SOX takes the biggest hit in time and productivity.

SOX also forced hundreds of small businesses out of the public financing arena. Small businesses were forced to purchase back their shares of common stock from the public because the "cost of compliance" with SOX is astronomical.

Tons of unintended consequences from another Washington brain fart. This was nothing more than the Accountants Full Employment Act.

All you had to do was make it illegal for an CPA firm that auditied the books of a corporation to have any interest, direct or through secondary parties or subsidiaries, in fees generated by consulting. CPA firms can do one or the other, but not both.
