In our current economic climate, there are a lot more part-time jobs out there than there are full-time jobs, with health-care following the part-time/full-time models. However, if you have a part-time job, when you go for health-care, they don't charge you just part of the bill! In fact, you are apt to have to pay MORE than a full-timer since your benefits are proportionately less.
Perhaps to be fair health-care charges should be put onto a sliding-scale income-based basis so that everyone, while they SHOULD pay their fair share, does not end up paying MORE than their fair share just because they cannot find a full-time position.

To Yeti Descendent, Howzabout the Constitution Of The United States? There is NOTHING in the Constitution about government takeover of banks or the auto industry, universal health care, or the creation of more than 20 "czars" who answer ONLY to obama, not the Congress or the voters. In less than six months the illegal alien usurper has saddled this country wth so much debt that our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be working for peanuts just to pay the interest. While I was no big fan of Bush, obama could have stopped HIS stimulus program once in office, and now we have two additional porkulus packages which have been hurriedly approved on OBAMA's watch. And don't forget his "apology tours", cozying up to despotic leaders, bowing to his muslim master, approving nukes for Iran, and throwing Israel under the bus.

Mistasteve, I'm afraid you are a bit "foggy" on your facts (probably from drinking all that Kool-Ade). That lunatic was NOT a "birther" but rather a NAZI! In fact, a good many of his core beliefs mirror those of the current (illegal) administration in regards to Israel and the Jews.

This would explain how an illegal alien has become the prez. Students have no concept of America's history or the foundations upon which this great country was built. The only "history" which they are taught is the revisionist history, the "blame America for everything that has ever been wrong with the entire world" stuff.

I am not a "wild-eyed right-winger" nor am I a "frothing at the mouth left-winger", but am a registered Independent, which means I probably work harder than most at election time to try and choose the candidate who cares about our country and who has some constructive ideas about how to solve at least some of the many problems which seem to be afflicting our great nation. (I voted neither for Mr. Obama nor for Mr. McCain so I'm sort of neutral here). However, as an
American citizen it concerns me when an intelligent, personable young man such as our "president", whose campaign was based on promises of "transparency", refuses to provide the most rudimentary proof that he is eligible for the office or that he is even a citizen.
Is it any wonder that everything he does comes under a cloud of suspicion given how easy it would be for him to release his long-form birth certificate (which by his own admission he came across tucked into a book),(and why would there be a long form AND a COLB?), his school records from Indonesia, his college records which would show if he received financial aid as a foreign student, his passport which would explain how he was able to enter Pakistan at a time when no American passports were being accepted, etc.? Is it any wonder that there is a growing groundswell of Americans (including many who voted for him) who feel that there is something he is hiding,something in those documents which he does not want the world to discover?
It cost me $20.00 to get a certified copy of MY birth certificate, yet he has retained at least THREE GROUPS of lawyers and spent a million (taxpayer?) dollars to keep his hidden away. Why is that, Mr. "president"? You are supposd to be working for US, and we are waiting for your explanation!
