Stress Test on Feds
by Kevin Boland
Issue 133 - June 10, 2009

We’ve heard a lot from the Obama Administration lately about “stress tests” for banks.

What would happen if we gave the federal government a “stress test” of its own? And what is the likely impact of the binge of new spending, taxing and borrowing upon which Washington has embarked since January 2009?

Get the power to the people - spread the word!

“The Patients’ Choice Act of 2009,” transforms health care in America by strengthening the relationship between the patient and the doctor; using choice and competition rather than rationing and restrictions to contain costs; and ensuring universal, affordable health care for all Americans. “The Patients’ Choice Act” promotes innovative, State-based solutions, along with fundamental reforms in the tax code, to give every American, regardless of employment status, age, or health condition, the ability and the resources to purchase health insurance. The comprehensive legislation includes concrete prevention and transparency initiatives, long overdue reforms to Medicare and Medicaid, investments in wellness programs and health IT, and more.

Einhorn: Obama Blowing Up Another Bubble

Monday, June 8, 2009 11:39 AM

By: Julie Crawshaw Article Font Size

The Obama administration is using the same naive playbook the Bush administration used, says Greenlight Capital fund manager David Einhorn.

"The basic strategy appears to be to try to bring us back to 2006 by propping up asset prices and re-inflating the popped credit bubble while hoping for an economic recovery," Einhorn told attendees at the recent Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference.

Treasonous Executive Orders

See October 27, 1999 TESTIMONY on "The Impact of Executive Orders on the Legislative Process: Executive Lawmaking?" to the Committee on Rules, Subcommittee on Legislative and Budget Process. See also Exec. Branch - Presidential Power regarding the fact that there is absolutely no authority or legal basis for Presidential Executive Orders, these orders are treasonous in their elementary form and have been the most destructive force in eliminating the U.S. Constitution.

* Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation unlawfully suspended the great Writ of Habeas Corpus

* Franklin Roosevelt was president for a little over twelve years. that time, he issued 3,723 executive orders Franklin Roosevelt closed American banks and force citizens to turn in their gold to a private bank, the Federal Reserve Bank; detention of American citizens of Japanese descent

* 1951, Harry Truman seized Strikethreatened Steel Mills to prevent shortages that would endanger "national security."

* Richard Nixon imposed wage and price controls in 1971

* Jimmy Carter, groomed by the secret Bilderberg organizatoin, created Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) - see U.S. Concentration Camps

* George W. Bush and previous President's Executive Orders go further than Hitler and Stalin dared to put in writing:

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990
allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995
allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997
allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998
allows the government to seize all means of transportation, including personal cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind and total control over all highways, seaports, and waterways.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10999
allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000
allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001
allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002
designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003
allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004
allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005
allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051
specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310
grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049
assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11490
Assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921
allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA's Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA's role as a "new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis." FEMA's powers were consolidated by President Carter to incorporate the:
National Security Act of 1947
allows for the strategic relocation of industries, services, government and other essential economic activities, and to rationalize the requirements for manpower, resources and production facilities.
1950 Defense Production Act
gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy.
Act of August 29, 1916
authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.
International Emergency Economic Powers Act
enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979

And Obama just got started down the traditional road to King of the U.S.

What do you see?
Only one of my least thought provoking posts got through the mediator this evening. I submitted posts about:

* Stopping Executive Orders (which are treasonous)
* Don't let Bush Tax Cuts expire
* Orwell quotes, especially regarding Freedom of Speech
* Where do my posts go when they are on time-out?

I cited where I got informational text, used no harassment or swears. WTH?
Is there anyone who can set up a site to promote ACTUAL free speech where we can share and debate ideas? Big Brother is reeeeally monitoring this thing now! I think there's a lot of promise if this thing could be done RIGHT.
George Orwell quotes:

If large numbers of people believe in freedom of speech, there will be freedom of speech even if the law forbids it. But if public opinion is sluggish, inconvenient minorities will be persecuted, even if laws exist to protect them.

In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act.
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to state this or that or the other, but it is “not done”… Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. A genuinely unfashionable opinion is almost never given a fair hearing, either in the popular press or in the highbrow periodicals.

Loss of liberty is inimical to all forms of literature... The fact is that certain themes cannot be celebrated in words, and tyranny is one of them. No one ever wrote a good book in praise of the Inquisition.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever.

If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.

The ordinary man is passive. Within a narrow circle, home life, and perhaps the trade unions or local politics, he feels himself master of his fate. But otherwise he simply lies down and lets things happen to him.

That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer's cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there.
Are they in some kind of time out? I've never used foul swears, nor have I harassed anyone, it's not my way. Therefore, I have to believe that my posts are hanging out, maybe having a nice margarita by the pool bar, catchings some rays.

I certainly hope that they aren't going through some sort of Orwell: 1984 Freedom of Speech abuse! I hope they don't put a cage on the face of my posts and threaten to drop ravenous rats in it!

Be careful what you wish for because tomorrow is a different day. Now, it's tomorrow.
Ten Myths About the Bush Tax Cuts—and the Facts

Myth #1: Tax revenues remain low.
Fact: Tax revenues are above the historical average, even after the tax cuts.

Myth #2: The Bush tax cuts substantially reduced 2006 revenues and expanded the budget deficit.
Fact: Nearly all of the 2006 budget deficit resulted from additional spending above the baseline.

Myth #3: Supply-side economics assumes that all tax cuts immediately pay for themselves.
Fact: It assumes replenishment of some but not necessarily all lost revenues.

Myth #4: Capital gains tax cuts do not pay for themselves.
Fact: Capital gains tax revenues doubled following the 2003 tax cut.

Myth #5: The Bush tax cuts are to blame for the projected long-term budget deficits.
Fact: Projections show that entitlement costs will dwarf the projected large revenue increases.

Myth #6: Raising tax rates is the best way to raise revenue.
Fact: Tax revenues correlate with economic growth, not tax rates.

Myth #7: Reversing the upper-income tax cuts would raise substantial revenues.
Fact: The low-income tax cuts reduced revenues the most.

Myth #8: Tax cuts help the economy by "putting money in people's pockets."
Fact: Pro-growth tax cuts support incentives for productive behavior.

Myth #9: The Bush tax cuts have not helped the economy.
Fact: The economy responded strongly to the 2003 tax cuts.

Myth #10: The Bush tax cuts were tilted toward the rich.
Fact: The rich are now shouldering even more of the income tax burden.

But why do you think the Federal Government is so worried about people losing TV service after the digital cut-over? Because it's an excellent brainwashing forum.

Keep the Internet free and that's all you'll need. Turn off the TV. Try it for three months. It's liberating!

Ron Paul introduced bill H.R. 1207 on February 26, 2009 with the following speech to Congress:

Madame Speaker,

I rise to introduce the Federal Reserve Transparency Act. Throughout its nearly 100-year history, the Federal Reserve has presided over the near-complete destruction of the United States dollar. Since 1913 the dollar has lost over 95% of its purchasing power, aided and abetted by the Federal Reserve’s loose monetary policy. How long will we as a Congress stand idly by while hard-working Americans see their savings eaten away by inflation? Only big-spending politicians and politically favored bankers benefit from inflation.

Serious discussion of proposals to oversee the Federal Reserve is long overdue. I have been a longtime proponent of more effective oversight and auditing of the Fed, but I was far from the first Congressman to advocate these types of proposals. Esteemed former members of the Banking Committee such as Chairmen Wright Patman and Henry B. Gonzales were outspoken critics of the Fed and its lack of transparency.

Since its inception, the Federal Reserve has always operated in the shadows, without sufficient scrutiny or oversight of its operations. While the conventional excuse is that this is intended to reduce the Fed’s susceptibility to political pressures, the reality is that the Fed acts as a foil for the government. Whenever you question the Fed about the strength of the dollar, they will refer you to the Treasury, and vice versa. The Federal Reserve has, on the one hand, many of the privileges of government agencies, while retaining benefits of private organizations, such as being insulated from Freedom of Information Act requests.

The Federal Reserve can enter into agreements with foreign central banks and foreign governments, and the GAO is prohibited from auditing or even seeing these agreements. Why should a government-established agency, whose police force has federal law enforcement powers, and whose notes have legal tender status in this country, be allowed to enter into agreements with foreign powers and foreign banking institutions with no oversight? Particularly when hundreds of billions of dollars of currency swaps have been announced and implemented, the Fed’s negotiations with the European Central Bank, the Bank of International Settlements, and other institutions should face increased scrutiny, most especially because of their significant effect on foreign policy. If the State Department were able to do this, it would be characterized as a rogue agency and brought to heel, and if a private individual did this he might face prosecution under the Logan Act, yet the Fed avoids both fates.

More importantly, the Fed’s funding facilities and its agreements with the Treasury should be reviewed. The Treasury’s supplementary financing accounts that fund Fed facilities allow the Treasury to funnel money to Wall Street without GAO or Congressional oversight. Additional funding facilities, such as the Primary Dealer Credit Facility and the Term Securities Lending Facility, allow the Fed to keep financial asset prices artificially inflated and subsidize poorly performing financial firms.

The Federal Reserve Transparency Act would eliminate restrictions on GAO audits of the Federal Reserve and open Fed operations to enhanced scrutiny. We hear officials constantly lauding the benefits of transparency and especially bemoaning the opacity of the Fed, its monetary policy, and its funding facilities. By opening all Fed operations to a GAO audit and calling for such an audit to be completed by the end of 2010, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act would achieve much-needed transparency of the Federal Reserve. I urge my colleagues to support this bill.
Voting is not closed, but the results have been consistent:

-10 Bugs Bunny/Dr. Ron Paul
-17 Mohandas Gandhi/Mother Teresa in
-26 Osama Bin Laden/Kim Jong Il, Jr.
-36 Vladimir Putin/Nancy Pelosi
-61 Nancy Pelosi/Rosie O’Donnell (I accidentally voted for them myself, but counted it)

***Congratulations Bugs & Paul!*** Open a can of Texas Whoop*ss, Doc!

As for the losers? Bin Laden finished in the middle? The only combination of candidates that would likely “qualify by LAW” is Pelosi/O’Donnell. Hmmm.

And the common denominator between the last two losers? Pelosi.
I only meant to make a point about assuring the legality of our President per the Constitution. However, the results were quite thought provoking.
Presidential eligibility:

35+ years of age:
Pelosi: born 1940 - currently 69 (plenty old)
O’Donnell: born 1962 – currently 47 (plenty old)

Native born:
Pelosi: Baltimore, Maryland (followed Daddy’s political footsteps, so likely not a problem)
O’Donnell: Queens, NY (likely no contest)

Lived in the U.S. for at least 14-years: Each, yes, fortunately or unfortunately depending upon who you speak to.
S
pecial Girl Powers, Activate! Yes we can, too!!!

Pelosi/O’Donnell – 2012!
Presidential eligibility:

35+ years of age: Yes, way old.

Native born: Doesn’t matter, President Obama set precedent that candidates and elected Presidents can ignore the law of the Constitution. So who cares what a bunch of dead guys who wore powder wigs and gay pants thought anyway?

Lived in the U.S. for at least 14-years: Who cares? These are amazing people that were very spiritual and selflessly giving to others, suffering and persevering for others and for peaceful change. Did you hear that? CHANGE! That makes all the difference so other old Constitution junk doesn’t matter any longer!

With this dynamic duo, how could America do worse?

Deseased?: So what? We know enough about them and what they would have done! We can just ask, “WWG&T Do?” and we would have the answer to everything. We can do it!

Gandhi/Teresa – 2012!
Presidential eligibility:

35+ years of age and native born:
*Bunny: born 1940 in Brooklyn, New York according to Wikipedia, but paperwork - so what?
*Dr. Paul: born 1935 in Pittsburg, Pennsilvania. He'll probably show you proof in long form.

Lived in the USA for at least 14-years:
*Bunny: yes
*Dr. Paul: yes

Bunny/Paul 2012!
1. Natural born citizen? Obama set precedent that it doesn't matter.
2. 35+? Check.
3. Lived in the U.S. for fourteen years? More or less.

Go Putin/Pelosi!!!
Apparently, Bin Laden won't be required to prove that he's eligible and I'd bet quite a few American's (or people who live in America) would vote for him. Thank you, President Barack Hussein Obama for setting the precedent. Perhaps Kim Jong Il Junior will run as VP? And it's doubtful that the Corporate Media will vett these fellows.

Bin Laden/Jong Il, '10!

I e-mailed Costco last week because I was suspicious that the grapefruits I purchase by the dozen were GMO. They had a PLU (not mandatory) that had five digits starting with an "8". Organics begin with a 9, and conventional product simply has four digits, often starting with a four.

Costco replied asking for the SKU, so I sent that to them. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything more, although I'll give them some more time.

Tell your Congressman about this serious issue and TELL YOUR GROCER. Costco for one will listen and they are a big name.

Obama doesn't have the right per our Constitution (as if he ever read it) to plede or spend money. It must be approved by Congress.

We are unofficially bankrupt, meaning that WE HAVE NO MONEY LEFT and yet, we are giving away money? How much will 73 million really cost tax payers with compound interest + military secrets that we will need to give China?

Hello?
tolynette 9 months ago
Our government is ripping us off more boldly than any insurance company could ever do. The government does nothing well other than taxing. Everything the government does is immensley expensive because of all the bureacracy and pork. I am not a Republican, but they have a bill that would allow citizens rather than the government to decide their own health care choices and the plan would force the insurance companies to compete. And yes, there are safeguards built in. It's called Patients Choice and the Congressman that drafted it are doctors.

We already have two government run health care systems to look at: medicare and veteran's health. Have you ever heard about how horrid those systems are?

FYI - the plan that the Democrats has so far is ABSOLUTELY latent with pork already. Can we be suprised after Porkulus?

P.S. We are bankrupt and the Dem plan would dig a ditch about 6 feet deep for us.

I know of no one who wants to be part of a union, let alone be force into one by having their secret voted taken away. The UAW killed the U.S. aut industry and the NEA is killing k-12 eduction. No thanks.
tolynette 9 months ago
But the NEA works so hard for the best interests our our k-12 pupils and all it ever requires is more money, right? One-room school houses operating on a shoe string budget did a better job educating people. Start with K-12 education reform. Abolish the NEA.

Case in point, can you pass an 8th grade test from 1895?

James, do some research on the Fed. They are run by uber rich central bankers. The Fed is privately owned/funded. Whose interest do you believe they serve? The Fed is unconstitutional. Ron Paul has an bill for which he is garnering support and it would allow the government to audit the Fed, which operates largely in secrecy.
tolynette 9 months ago
I have no party affiliation, but I do support the idea that the Republican's came up with here:

I pay $350/month for my health care. Regardless, I see a TON of misinformation regarding People's Choice ACT. The PCA would force competition in price and quality. The government has a track record with the VA and Medicare. Everything the government does is very expenses and we pay more in taxes for the bureaucracy than we would if we pay for out health care period.

The Federal Government is FOR PROFIT. That's what they call redistribution of wealth. That's why our Social Security goes into the General Fund, so that Uncle Sam can spend, spend, spend it. Do we really want the government making our choices for us?

In the end, Federal Government control is not constitutional an this plan put more control back with the States where it belongs.

P.S. The Federal Government is bankrupt and China is laughing at us.

Instead of asking the Federal government to create a group, which would be full of buracracy, very costly, and very likely to be abused by the government itself, I'd recommend that you lead the charge. Start your own movement. Set up a charter, seek donations, use the free social networking sites and go! That would be a very American thing to do. I wish you well!

Alaska has charities and a few state programs that do a fairly good job. The addicted homeless are the biggest challenge. Many a program have tried, but their efforts have been a revolving door. For them, jail tends to be a better friend, giving them time to dry out. Unfortunate as that is.

It seems a very odd thing to me that this site wasn't better advertised to the public if a large cross-section of people was desired. Why WND seems to be the only one advertising this site seems strange. Perhaps Mr. Obama is really a closet conservative?

I read that the head of the Postal Service makes something like $800k/yr. with bonuses as a public servant. Amazing! And yet his "company" is losing billions. I think we could definitely take the savings and hire some outfits to pick up the mail from UPS or FedEx and deliver the mail. In Alaska, private contractors are often used to make a delivery once per week to rural areas. If there's somewhere to land (no matter how primitive), the mail can get to remote places. This already works with Alaska as an example.
tolynette 9 months ago
I agree. I can't tell if that's in the Act, but if it's not, it could still be added. Lucky you though, Alaska's choices are extremely minimal and most insurance companies designate almost all of our doctor's as "out of plan."
tolynette 9 months ago
Investigate Congresswoman DeLauro's HR875 Act with ties to her husband, Greenberg Research and Monsanto Corp. Ugle stuff.

And friendly skies and lots of lies Pelosi: directing her PAC funds to her husband's real estate interests and directing earmarks to his investments. Bad stuff here.

We need an Independent ethics investigation. Where's the FBI? The really went after Alaska politician's. Where are they now?
tolynette 9 months ago
If you READ the bill and Q&A, you will find that it WILL break the monopoly insurance companies have and force them to compete, plus:

"The Patients’ Choice Act will give individuals the power and the resources to take ownership of their health coverage. There are significant protections for individuals, who cannot be refused coverage based on age or health from an insurance company participating in state exchanges. A consumer-driven health care model ensures that all Americans – regardless of income, age, or health – are in the best position to secure the health benefits they want and get the care they need."

And there's a lot more good and VALID information on the web: http://coburn.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=b96eb964-9511-4f0c-b6b4-379717346ac1

Single Payer: I haven't read the Act, have you? Where is it? It's being kept under wraps by the Dem Congress. Ask them to see what Big Brother's got.

ericettinger: check out what George Ure from urbansurvival.com says:

9.4% Unemployment Continues to Worry
June 5th, 2009 As expected, the gasoline on the fires of the Wall Street rally should take off with the government reporting an improvement in the Current Employment Situation Report today:

“Nonfarm payroll employment fell by 345,000 in May, about half the average monthly decline for the prior 6 months, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The unemployment rate continued to rise, increasing from 8.9 to 9.4 percent. Steep job losses continued in manufacturing, while declines moderated in construction and several service-providing industries.

Unemployment (Household Survey Data)

The number of unemployed persons increased by 787,000 to 14.5 million in May, and the unemployment rate rose to 9.4 percent. Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the number of unemployed persons has risen by 7.0 million, and the unemployment rate has grown by 4.5 percent- age points. “

So how is another 345,000 jobs disappearing an improvement? Well, the rate of unemployment increase is slowing. Wooo-hoo!

But now, let me put on my Sherlock Holmes hat here and go off doing a little ‘detecting’ around this 9.4% solution….

First stop is the CES Birth/Death Model. This is where the government gets to ‘guesstimate’ what jobs were created. While it is portrayed as being a reasonable statistical inference, if you click over here and read it, you’ll find that almost 700,000 jobs (694-thousand to be precise here) have been ‘estimated into existence’ so far this year.

And, in Table A-12, in the U-6 report, Alternative measures of labor underutilization, we see the real “Total unemployed, plus all marginally attached workers, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all marginally attached workers” is running a Depression era kind of number 16.4% - up from the previous month’s 15.8%

And the market reaction before the open? Up. Go figure.
tolynette 9 months ago
I'd divide the unspent stimulus money up between the U.S. citizens. It would do more good going directly than being continually syphoned off on the way to this invisible private sector job creation.

Birfistan? This is a close-minded site. Obama can put this all to rest by simply supplying the documents that he should have made available as part of the proof of eligibility to run in the first place.

Why does he fight? Why are so many records sealed? He should simply just opent the records and make this go away, because it never will otherwise.

I was raised in Michigan and have many family and friends who were UAW members working in the auto industry. They routinely missed work, took off early, and were the first ones to complain about their benefits. None of them had any college education and yet they made far more than anyone else would in any other field except maybe for those that are extremely high risk.

The UAW did for the auto industry what the NEA is doing for the public school system, except that there's not much money in it for the NEA.

GDP Growther: It takes a minimum of four-years, but more likely 8-years to grow GDP, therefore, the President in charge during GDP boom is usually living off the success or failure of his predecessor.

We're bankrupt and borrowing money to spend like crazy. We're also LOSING billions. We're throwing so much cash around that we literally do not know where billions went to line somebody's pockets. Do you agree that this is the way to grow the GDP and turn the economy around?

I'd rather be a Libertarian if I had to choose a party. But... our President is appointed, not elected. Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama. The problem is deeper than this, if you really want change.
tolynette 9 months ago
Vote Democratic: I don't BELONG to a party. I THINK for myself. Democrats and Republican's are two heads of the same coin.

The fact remains that Obama had scores of his records sealed and was never vetted, so many have never accepted him as President. If there isn't a problem with showing the actual long-form birth certificate, he shouldn't be fighting court case after expensive court case to avoid it.

I am not a cultist (look at yourself in the mirror, though).

You'd actually be suprised that many "liberals," if we're going to be very broad by definition are not very happy with what they see going on in this Administration no matter what lies the polls tell. What you do wishing for division is to put a nail in our coffin. The ultra-left liberals you are frustrated about are actually a fairly small minority. While liberals and conservatives may never agree on abortion, homosexuality, etc., there are plenty that can be won over on the practical issues of the governing. Just as many Conservatives were disenfranchised by Bush, many Liberals are becoming disenfranchised by Obama. As more of them lose their jobs due to his intrusion in the private market, more will turn away.

What the powers who actually run the USA want is for us to be divided. United we stand, divided we fall.

Sohn Investment Research Conference.

reasonous Executive Orders

This Czar thing seems to be a very fast growing career. I wonder if I should get some schooling under my belt so I can apply at the Beltway? Do you know how much a Czar can pull in? I sure would like to see a job description, although if I find that I'll need to act as an anal plug as the mainstream media does, I might just keep my normal job.

Why are all of Obama's records sealed? WHY? That should give you a clue.

What if another G.W. type came into Power in 2012, but all he provided was a lame "Cert of Live Birth" instead of the original long-form and what if citizenship in general was suspect due to lack of documentation? Would it be okay for FOXNews to pretend it vetted the President and cover it all over? No and it isn't this time either.

And one more thing - do you think thousands upon thousands of people would stay worked up over this matter for so long if it were just that easy? Multiple law suits. Obama's got about $1M of his or our (?) money into defending the BC cases. We ASSUME Obama was born since he's walking around acting like he's the President. But what we want to see is REAL PROOF. Every candidate should have to prove eligibility, so it's not just about Obama.

Obama wrote about running across his birth certificate in one of his books. I imagine that it's the original/real long form certificate. He can make this all end by bringing it forward.
tolynette 9 months ago

In 1913, Congress voted to hand over its Constitutional authority
to "coin money and regulate the value thereof" to a consortium of private banks.
It passed the "Federal Reserve Act".

Although certain officers are appointed by the President,
Congress exercises little to no oversight over the Fed's activities.
The 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks are
owned by the member banks who buy shares in it.

All nationally chartered banks and bank holding companies
are by default member banks of the Federal Reserve System.
Just a few of the powerful banks which are owners of the Federal Reserve District Banks:

Goldman Sachs Bank (San Francisco Fed)
Bank of America (Richmond Fed)
Morgan Stanley (San Francisco Fed)

On the Board of Directors of the New York Federal Reserve Bank we find:

Jamie Dimon
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
JPMorgan Chase

Jeffrey R. Immelt
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
General Electric Company

Indra K. Nooyi
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
PepsiCo, Inc.

Should Americans assume that these individuals serve on the Board of the New York Fed in the public interest or in their private, corporate interests? What do you think?

For example (one of many): JPMorgan Chase was able to buy up both Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual Bank for pennies on the dollar through its cozy relationship with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the FDIC.

On the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, we find that Kevin M. Warsh was from 1995 to 2002, a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of Morgan Stanley & Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director.
This is but one of many examples of the cross-pollination between the world of private, international banking and the nominally "Federal" central banking system.

Alan Greenspan, the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, admitted recently that the Fed operates without Congressional oversight.

"Well, first of all, the Federal Reserve is an independent agency, and that means, basically, that there is no other agency of government which can overrule actions that we take. So long as that is in place and there is no evidence that the administration or the Congress or anybody else is requesting that we do things other than what we think is the appropriate thing, then what the relationships are don't, frankly, matter."

The Fed is, in fact, a private corporation which has been granted a monopoly on the issuance of money by the public authority of government. It is therefore a public-private partnership--an alignment which many political scientists define as Fascism.

It is important to state that private banking control of the Federal Reserve Bank is not significant for the direct profits which member banks accrue. It is the CONTROL over the money supply, the MANIPULATION of the general conditions of credit and debt and the POLITICAL POWER associated with the private ownership of the nation's central bank which is meaningful.

The "Federal" Reserve is Federal in name only.
It is comprised of private banks and serves private banking interests and is accountable to no public authority.

People have it as Malcom X or Frank Marshall Davis. Davis wrote in his book about he and his wife initiating a young white girl named Anne. Later, Davis was a mentor to Obama in Hawaii and Obama wrote about him in his book. Resemblence looks more like Malcom though.

I paid for my own sterilization. The Federal Government and others donate tens of millions to Planned Parenthood. Surely, you could redirect some of that money?

There hasn't been an announcement yet, but we are in a depression and the USA is bankrupt. I think people should exercise restraint.

Yet... kids are doing meth, smoking pot, drinking booze and I hear heroine has made a come back. The FACT is that the war on drugs has cost billions and caused huge drug cartels to rise up. I am conservative. A Constitutional, Libertarian type. I want a small Federal goverment, little to no war unless we are defending ourselves, live and let live. I have friends that at liberal. We don't agree on religion, homosexuality, or the rights/size of government and its reach. But we do agree that things are way out of hand. Just as so many conservatives became disenfranchised by Bush and his policies and actions, so are many liberals very, very quickly becoming disenfranchised by Obama despite the few bones that he throws them. So I personally think it's best to unite in every way we can right now instead of pointing fingers. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.

The people are speaking. It's an American thing to do. The fix is easy, so what is the big problem. Open the actual records and be vetted per the Constitution like any President past or future must do. Make it end. Yes we can - make it end!!!

Per the U.S. CONSTITUTION, ALL Presidents must be vetted. They must PROVE to the citizens that they are eligable for office no matter what party they belong to, unless we have a Dictatorship now?
tolynette 9 months ago
And let's invite President Obama to lead the charge!!! Go Obama, you can do it! Yes, we can!!!
tolynette 9 months ago
Per the Constitution we already have fewer House Rep's, although the ones we do have don't seem to be representing us, they generally represent themselves. I'm all for cutting their pay and expense allowances. We'd get real hard working people in for less. But... we'd have to moniter their salaries from start to so many years past their term to understand if they gamed the system, because that IS what they are doing.
tolynette 9 months ago
I would normally agree, but we won't fix this problem with fences 500 feet high. Most immigrants do jobs that American's don't want to do (not for long). I've been thinking about this and to set up citizenship, let immigrants PAY TAXES like everyone else. Rack up debt just trying to survive here, especially with the upcoming hyperinflation. Soon enough, it won't be very attractive to immigrate to the U.S. if the free ride isn't much fun. NO FREE RIDES.

Hitler had the "People's Car" i.e. Volkswagon. Alcohol fuels take oil to produce and are very costly to the earth, plus we are ramping up for a world food shortage. Our grain bins are not storing food for people for more than three days each.
tolynette 9 months ago
Freedom of the Press. It's being abused right now and that needs to be addressed, but taking it away is unconstitutional. Any time we willingly give up ANY liberties, we can't expect to get them back. The press is more than the mainstream media these days, anyway. Very tough to prevent the professional and private citizen Freedom of Speech. Citizens need to keep screaming and canceling their TV. That's how I help.
tolynette 9 months ago
One more thought, I did not mean to imply that if I had children, I would encourage them to toke up when they became 21, because it's legal. Nor would I encourage them to drink or drink to access, nor to become alcoholic's or pot head. None of it's good for one's health, but legal alcohol and illegal marijuana make no sense to anyone but the Alcohol Lobby and big drug cartels.

I would like to see cost savings and LOSSES reported by independent companies whose results are tested against each other for accuracy.

The Federal Government prolongs and worsens economic down turns by meddling. I'm for no Federal meddling in business. Where will it end? Check out "The Forgotten Man" about the last depression, it's really good.
tolynette 9 months ago
Per our Constitution, I don't believe this is a Federal Government repsonsibility. It belongs where it is - in the States (States Rights). Most people across ideologies are tire of the Federal Government growing outside of its function and it's also very costly to the tax payers.

*But I do agree in the equity, just not at the Fed level.

Do some research on how that worked for Australia recently. The criminals did not give up their guns, gun violence and crime has risen. tolynette 9 months ago
The subject line is unclear to me whether you are promoting an up or down vote, but I'll vote no because the Government can't run itself efficiently let alone run other businesses. I am a business woman and would never survive (bailouts aside) if I ran my business the way that Uncle Sam runs OUR government.
tolynette 9 months ago
Yeah, GE is all over this expecting to make big bucks. Do some digging on GE's corporate dark side some time. I'd prefer to see something like rural electrification associations, many of which still exist in state rural areas and are run quite well.

I don't think the President should arbitrarily decide these things and this recent stunt is obviously a thank you to the gay lobby. For shame. The Federal Government has no business bothering itself with a person's sexual preference. What if Bush would have whipped up "Married Heterosexual's Month"? Or "Bomb Iraq" month? Bush would have probably had more supporter for those months than this act does. It's all wrong.
tolynette 9 months ago
I am not for celebrating anyone's sexuality. What people do and whom they choose to do it with so long as it's private and legal should be no business of the Federal Government.
tolynette 9 months ago
I'd prefer to leave this to the States and leave the Federal Government out of our backyard.
tolynette 9 months ago
Do you have personal experience with Census takers asking questions beyond count? I've been hearing that others have in addition to them getting GPS coordinates for people's front door. Funny though, I heard that the census would be mailed out next year?
tolynette 9 months ago
Regardless our our opinion of the President, this is a place where we are trying to share ideas and come up with solutions. Many of us have lost most hope in the U.S. Government, but we are making an effort to come together despite ideologies. While I agree that any and all Presidents should be required to prove, undeniably that they are eligible to be President per the law, this is a deplorable post.
tolynette 9 months ago
This is not a Federal Goverment issue. The States should be left to make their own agreements with each other. Do you realize how much every little nice idea COSTS in real tax payer money? Who's going to set it up, operate it and enforce it? More Uncle Sam? I'm tired of Uncle Sam in my wallet, I don't know about you. I'd save more money just buying the books outright.
tolynette 9 months ago
Is this an advertisement? If so, this is not the place for lobbyists.
tolynette 9 months ago
I want jobs back, but tarriff's won't work. Making the USA more attractive to do business in than other countries will. Right now businesses do pay huge taxes to the USA. What does the USA do? Bail-out giant banks, insurance companies, and automakers, which helps big government and allows big government to tell the companies how they need to run. Joe Tax payer works over three months out of the year to pay taxes. If I were a large corporation, I'd look hard at establishing my business outside of the USA. The USA is bankrupt, so US purchasing power is quickly dying anyway - there goes the consumer base. It's a vicious cycle.
tolynette 9 months ago
Without the teleprompter.
tolynette 9 months ago
I'm for it, although it would quickly become a class action suite and drag through the courts for a very long time, which is costly. Hopefully it would prohibit some of the lying (they're pretty darn good though). I think our representatives should also be required to pay the public back for the processing costs should they lose. I'd suggest a time limit for the cases to be decided. Most of our representatives are lawyers however, which is a big part of the problem.

tolynette 9 months ago
I don't agree that the Federal Gov should be dictating to the States. State should come first per our Constitution.

I also agree about the payment per a.klassykat.
tolynette 9 months ago
And let us not forget what a President had the AUTHORITY to do and NOT DO per our Constitution, not just a candidate's or presidents promises via any medium, including memorandum.

Carter? Internationalism? Do your homework. Carter, Bilderberg, Illuminati. I lived in Carter times. Come on.
tolynette 9 months ago
This is interesting. Who is paying the bill at the end of the day? America is in a depression and bankrupt even though those words are being repressed so people won't feel bad until later on.

We are all stakeholders in OUR government. What happened that by 2009 we have to ask the state or federal government to do their job?
tolynette 9 months ago
I agree with geblack. Good idea. Most of our Rep's have web sites that we pay for already, i.e. http://LASTNATME.senate.gov/public/ or http://www.house.gov/LASTNAME/contact.shtml. I'd like to see the Facebook ideas applied to what's in place and what's not privately or corporately owned.

Good concept, bharshaw!

Change our schools how? Children thinking about the Republic (what our government was supposed to be) or Democracy - mob rule. I was taught to think about all types of government rule. I noticed partison finger-pointing in the dialog here and I certainly hope we can keep this out of our work here. Otherwise, where will it end and what will we accomplish?

This initiative seems to make sense and seems very non-partisan. How did we ever get so far off track as a nation as to have to HOPE for this? This should have always been and again - no finger pointing. United we stand - divided we fall.

So far, we are falling.
tolynette 9 months ago
I invite the voters who oppose to speak up. I think this is an excellent idea, but I like to see a healthy and balanced discourse when there's disagreement regarding ideas. What's bad about this suggestion - come on, inquiring minds want to know.
tolynette 9 months ago
givonprints: I understand that you are one of us who want to rip the Illuminati veil off, but this isn't the place to do it without making a statement that can be voted on with a yes or a no. Some people still believe that Obama will actually listen to our suggestions and implement them, others believe that he's already doing his own thing and breaking promise after promise. Obama's already aware of what's going on, so if you're point is to make more people aware of the big issue, you'd likely have more success trying another tactic.
tolynette 9 months ago
The sheeple are scared. I'll vote for this because I understand exactly that these things are happening, but if you tell people that they must read a certain book and are threatening or freaking them out, the lambs will scatter. By the votes, it looks like that has happened. The people have been conditioned to feel like they have a voice in our country and that our government and world works the way they think it does and anyone who points out conspiracies wear tin foil hats. This hurts their comfort-level, so if this were worded a bit more gently and didn't read like an Amazon.com ad, you might get better results. Just a thought.
tolynette 9 months ago
I'd support 40-hours. A full business week.
tolynette 9 months ago
Let me get this straight - hurt all churches and patrons because a few have acted unwisely? If we apply that type of prescription to everything, where would we wind up? I don't support ANY taxes in the first place, but unless someone makes a better case (although the title of this one is appealing), I cannot support this.

Public financed elections would do the trick. After all, right now it's not churches that are electing our officials, especially our President. Our Presidents have been appointed (not elected by CorpGov (not ChurchGov) for decades. Clinton, Bush, Obama, McCain, makes no difference, they were all pre-approved.
tolynette 9 months ago
I wish the one "no" vote to-date would make an explanation as to why this request is not desirable to this person? I respect a good debate. I absolutely support this initiative!

I agree to make State euthanasia viewable by those who care to watch, but never forced. I would also like to have State-funded abortions viewable (although protecting the parent identity). State funded death is death. When hearts stop, it's death. Death is death.
tolynette 9 months ago
I believe that the public should have at least five days to view bills/amendments online. I believe that's what the President promised. AND the bills need to be searchable. The CONgress played a lot of games with the stimulus bill and American's must put a stop to this happening again regardless of party.

Plus, yes, we should save a few forests.
tolynette 9 months ago
I am torn about the photos and so cannot vote on this right now. I would also like Obama's records, especially his actual long-form birth certificate released however. Especially if these photos are released. Open should be open.
tolynette 9 months ago
I'm concerned that this would become political in that one party or other would try take over. Rather than the government endowing yet another program, how about it recognizes a non-partisan, non-profit group to do the job? I've not seen a non-partisan non-profit yet either though. There's merit here, but this needs more brainstorming.
tolynette 9 months ago
This isn't a government problem/area of control. Government data is (supposed to be) available via an array of means. If there's a market for this (and there is), then let the market address it so our Government can focus on what it was intended to do.

tolynette 9 months ago
This puts to much trust in the government not too game the system and trust of our public officials is the problem in the first place. We definitely need an overhaul of CONgress and we need REAL accountability (plus more term limits and publicly funded elections).
tolynette 9 months ago
Obama just needs to show his real documents and records so we can move on. Any Presidential candidate shouldn't have not doing so as an option. This is ridiculous that so much time and energy has been spent in our courts because this matter should be easily resolved. If Obama can't resolve small questions and issues like this, how's he going to do everything else that he promised to do?
