Making Government Operations More Open

Make It Safe for Govt. Workers to Innovate to Save Money

Federal departments can only become more Transparent, Participatory, and Collaborative with outsiders (citizens) unless those same things are adopted INTERNALLY. Those qualities can only show up on the *outside* if they are valued on the *inside*. However, federal departments do NOT have the internal openness that makes it *safe* for their employees (and those of contractors) to suggest ways to make their organizations ...more »

Making Data More Accessible

Reduce Contract waste and duplication by making things transparent

I am a contractor so, I am probably shooting myself in the foot for saying this but as a tax payer and a concern citizen and one who cares deeply about each and every soldier we need to stop wasting money on projects that contractors perform that are duplication. We have no visibility of what products and services that are created that could be leveraged if there was transparency and visibility. If we could create a central ...more »

New Strategies and Techniques

Trash Removal in National Parks

Or, rewarded with a percent of the money saved by identifying when special interest groups make deals which waste tax payer money. Change the incentive ...more »

Legal & Policy Challenges

Legalization of Prostitution

We are wasting billions of dollars fighting this non-problem when it could be better used as a tax base, when less money can be better spent to chase bona fide human traffickers and child pornographers. This is a non-crime. Let the people who choose to do it, do it. Regulate and license it, mandate condom use, and spend the money chasing actual criminals.

Presidential Bill Signings

Let's get rid of the president using multiple pens to sign every bill that comes before him. I may seem petty but it these times of tight budgets this obvious waste of money sends the wrong message.
