Fox news among others has filed papers requesting release of the photos taken during the Manhattan flyover on A1, through the Freedom of Information Act. So far the airforce and the Whitehouse have responded with ridiculous contradicting statements, obviously using any means necessary to stonewall those requesting the photos and attempting to delay or obstruct the release of said photos. Where's the transparency?

Six states are starting to make plans to opt out of any federal government health care program. That's Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, North Dakota, New Mexico and Wyoming. I bet Texas will be right behind them.

Since postal employees are already being paid, they should be the ones doing the census. That would save a whole lot of money training and paying 710,00 census workers. There are 750,000 postal workers.
Let's say it takes them two days to accomplish the task. Two Saturdays the mail is not delivered but the postal workers are doing the census instead.
That could save us a WHOLE lot of money and it also prevents organizations like ACORN manipulating data to fit their unscrupulous agenda.

Two weeks ago, Gerald Walpin, U.S. Inspector General, charged with protecting taxpayer money, was illegally fired, and you haven't seen or heard one peep from BIG MEDIA. Less than two years ago, Obonga sponsored legislation, that was passed into law, that; "The president must give 30 days notice, and must inform congress why this person is to be fired". An Obonga goon squad member phoned Walpin and said "You have 1 hour to resign, or you will be fired". What did Walpin do to be fired? He uncovered corruption in how stimulus money was being spent. One case involves an Obonga crony, and 'hoops buddy', Kevin Johnson, mayor of San Diego. The other involves a New York university. This week and last, we heard *NON-STOP* coverage of the REPUBLICAN governors that cheated on their wives. Is this news? Yes. Is it more important than Gov't corruption that goes as high as the White House? No. And how ironic is it, that it was a law that he got passed, that the new president broke. I don't know which is worse, a deceitful, dishonest, corrupt president, or BIG MEDIA that does ANY & EVERYTHING they can to protect & prop this usurper up. The media is supposed to be the watchdog of the people, not protector of crooked Gov't. BTW, Where's the Birth Certificate?

After being kicked to the curb by Jeff Taylor, the ever persistent Mr. Berg is attempting to get President Obama arrested on a charge of fraud. Mr. Berg presented the merits of his case to Mr. Taylor earlier this month and Mr. Taylor smirked and summarily dismissed it as looney, or rather "lacked merit".
Now Mr. Berg says the U.S. Attorney General is unqualified to make that decision because he "works for the President".

You know the people here in the United States rally have no idea how the rest of the world lives, and copes with their own governments. I am a veteran of a foreign war, and have seen what those people live like. We here in the United States have no idea what they go through on a daily basis. They struggle to stay alive, they don't have rights like we do. Let them say something against the government, or it's leader, and see if you can find where they are buried, if they got buried.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Let me see anyone solve all the problems we have in the United States in as many days as some of the people on this site think they should be solved. All I hear is their right to free speech, being used. Stop talking and do something. Action will get it done.
It is obvious what government did in the past isn't working, so why not try something else. The talkers need to start doing, if they want something changed. Hot air fills a balloon, and BS smells and makes a mess. Why not clean it up and get something done.

Data.Gov shows is an invaluable tool detailing laws, regulations, studies and spending. But, when we as voters are deliberating whether to reward our leaders with another term or to throw the rascals out, we need to know what they promised and how these promises were either fulfilled, forgotten or “fine tuned” over time.
A comprehensive clearinghouse of transcripts of campaign pledges, floor speeches, press conferences, interviews, depositions and hearings, parallel to Data.Gov, would allow us to quickly and easily check the integrity of our public servants.
With the press pathologically preoccupied with late-breaking news and devoting astonishingly scant resources to in-depth, historical analysis, such a resource could help give us an empirical perspective on how our politicians are doing. A comprehensive analysis could point out trends and conflicts in the data which might be obscured in the cacophony of scattered snippets currently available.
Perhaps a Wikipedia type web site could be setup to consolidate this information for at least the most high-profile actors in the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives. The peer review and fact checking available on a user-editable site would ensure complete and factual content. It could be indexed and searchable by person, date, venue and keyword to make it as accessible as possible.
Weaseling political opportunists would probably prefer to keep us focused on what they said today hoping that memories of previous promises would soon fade. Could we trust those currently in power to disseminate the data in a timely manner or would they simply hold hearings, conduct studies and establish blue ribbon panels which would drag on until they were out of office?
Would it be better to have an organization, independent of government, carry out the research and post the findings before the next election cycle? If we could find a few hundred dedicated archivists to each research and document one Executive, Senate or House bigwig, we could have an effective system online in a few weeks. I'll take Evergreen.
Let's have a good look at the whole, historical picture before we send the next bunch to Washington.
