create a national databse

Why Is This Idea Important?: it makes everything more transparent.

There was talk a while back about making identification national but it never happened. So instead of carrying a Vermont driver's license, it would be a US Driver's license. If all databases from birth records to passports and driver's licenses were in a national database, they would be easier to track across state lines.

    There is already a state collaborative program, called STEVE (State and Territorial Exchange of Vital Events that accomplishes this without a national database. Details on NAPHSIS.ORG.
