There appears a concerted effort to vote down single payer. conservatives have invaded this web site and have registered on jun 1 and voted down single payer actions listed on this web site. They appear organized. It does not appear enough that they have killed a doctor, now they want to kill single payer too. Also they have come and created bogus efforts to question the citizenship of our legitimately elected President. The conservatives have INVADED this web site on June 1. Obviously calling onto question the constitutional eligibility of a sitting president is a serious matter, however our president is not above the rule of law. The Constitution is our greatest protection from abusive government. Throughout the history of mankind, political power has frequently been seized irrespective of the will of the governed, often violently. Perhaps owing to our imperfect nature, totalitarianism has more often been the rule, rather than the exception.
Our Constitution as first envisioned and ultimately realized by the benefits of both pen and sword, was founded as a heart felt invention of necessity by men so deathly tired of oppression, that they determined despite any cost, to establish our Constitutional Republic. With the Constitution, our Founding Father's planted a seed in soil richly nourished in blood, that with similar courage United States citizens might forever more be able to exercise their God given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in at least one free and just nation upon the face of the earth.

Fellow citizens, ask your congressman and Senators to ask Mr. Obama for permission to view the birth documents on file in Hawaii (along with an independent documents expert). If there is a legitimate birth document on file there, then Mr. Obama should be happy to provide the necessary permission (in order to settle the matter once and for all). President Obama rightly campaiged for openness and transparency in government and politics, shouting we need change from the rooftops.
He stated that he would be different from the Bush Republicans who were honest and open.
Since then he has spent hundreds of thousands of public donations to avoid showing his long form birth certificate to the people of the USA.
Until he shows his Long Form Birth certificate he comes across as a Liar and a fraud, hence the growing public agitation over the issue.
Its a matter of integrity and honestly over hypocrisy.

The Birth Certificate does not matter. No matter where he was born, only his mother was a citizen. Two citizen parents are required along with birth ON U.S. soil, to confer Natural Born Status.
If the usurper was born in Hawaii he would only be a native born citizen which does not meet the Constitutional requisit to be president.
If he was born in Kenya his mother was not old enough to confer citizenship to him and he would not be a citizen unless he was naturalized; still not sufficient to meet the Constitutional requisit.

Obama may be a citizen but he is NOT a natural born citizen and for the singular office of the President under our Constitution the person in that office must be more than just an American citizen. He must be a natural born citizen to constitutional standards.
Also, the COLB digital image he has produced does not even prove he was born in Hawaii. Can you think of any official office in government where a digital image on the internet is all you have to show to prove you are a even an ordinary citizen, let alone a Natural Born Citizen to Constitutional standards.
You are intellectually dishonest. Obama has not produced COLB to any controlling legal authority or independent document examiner to determine its validity. All his has shown to anyone outside his campaign and his Annenberg Foundation (which Obama chaired) controlled FactCheck website is a digital image of an alleged document. Do you really believe that a digital image is all that is necessary to prove one's constitutional eligibility for any federal office in the land? Have you ever heard of PhotoShop and what can be done with a digital image and computer generated forms using digital laser printers? We the People want to see and have experts examine the underlying printed paper document used to make that image AND we also want to see the yet unseen long-form, original birth certificate still in the vaults in HI to see the name of the attending doctor and hospital where he was born and other contemporaneous non-family witnesses to the birth, if there are any!
Here is one expert's examination report of that digital image COLB that you place the entire safety of our country on and the future liberty of all of us on. Obama must prove he is eligible under Article II to constitutional standards, not FactCheck.org and Snopes.com website O-Bot standards.

Question: What is the state's policy for issuing a "Certification of Live Birth" versus a "Certificate of Live Birth"? My first, second and fourth children received certificates, but my third and fifth children received certifications. Why the difference? The certificate contains more information, such as the name of hospital, certifier's name and title; attendant's name and title, etc. The certification has only the child's name, date and time of birth, sex, city/island/county of birth, mother's maiden name, mother's race, father's name and father's race. Why doesn't the state just issue certificates? When did it stop issuing certificates? Is it possible to obtain certificates for my third and fifth children?
Answer: No, you can't obtain a "certificate of live birth" anymore.
The state Department of Health no longer issues copies of paper birth certificates as was done in the past, said spokeswoman Janice Okubo.
The department only issues "certifications" of live births, and that is the "official birth certificate" issued by the state of Hawaii, she said.
And, it's only available in electronic form.
Okubo explained that the Health Department went paperless in 2001.
"At that time, all information for births from 1908 (on) was put into electronic files for consistent reporting," she said.
Information about births is transferred electronically from hospitals to the department.
"The electronic record of the birth is what (the Health Department) now keeps on file in order to provide same-day certified copies at our help window for most requests," Okubo said.
Asked for more information about the short-form versus long-form birth documents, Okubo said the Health Department "does not have a short-form or long-form certificate."
"The birth certificate form has been modified over the years and decades to conform to national standards and models," she said.
Okubo also emphasized the certification form "contains all the information needed by all federal government agencies for transactions requiring a birth certificate."
She added that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized the state's current certification of live birth "as an official birth certificate meeting all federal and other requirements."
The issue of what constitutes an official Hawaii birth certificate received national attention during last year's presidential campaign. Those who doubted Barack Obama's American citizenship called the copy of the Hawaii birth document posted on his campaign Web site a fake.
Asked about that document, Okubo said, "This is the same certified copy everyone receives when they request a birth certificate."

A copy is needed per Hawaiian law for the Homeland program. They do not accept certifications for that program. I think this newspaper author skimmed over and omitted some facts. Also, copies of paper records can still be obtained of the original documents via court order, if the CERT form is questioned legally, which Obama is fighting. The CERT form is prima facie evidence, not conclusive evidence, and is only good in court if it's validity is not questioned.
Also, Obama himself wrote in in his book, "Dreams from My Father" that he had in his possession in the 80s copy of his Birth Certificate which he obtained about the time his father died in Kenya. He considered it one of his prized possessions. Why can't he produce a certified copy of that one for starters? Then he could stop fighting the lawsuits demanding a court ordered copy be obtained from the Hawaiian vaults. And he could stop fighting the lawsuits trying to get copies of his application to Occidental College and his financial assistance application there. Did he apply for financial aide there as a foreign born student using a Kenyan BC or Indonesian passport, or both, as evidence for obtaining that aide. Why is Obama hiding all his early life birth, education, and travel records prior to becoming a U.S. Senator.

How did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later??? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over UHbama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.

A: There are only three possibilities. 1. He traveled with a U.S. Passport, 2) He traveled with a British passport, or 3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.
Q: Is it possible that UHbama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.
Conclusion: When UHbama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.
If he was traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he
relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967..
Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.
Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

There was Federal Court Activity in Kerchner v Obama & Congress Case yesterday - 2nd Extension of time granted to Defendants to give the DOJ more time. The Judge granted the 2nd delay but in a five page order outlined the seriousness of the charges in this case. The DOJ cannot seem to figure out how to respond to this lawsuit. The Judge said that "competent counsel" should be appointed to this case do to the serious nature of the charges. He also said that once attorneys for all defendants have entered an appearance for each defendant "... the case will proceed expeditiously." See this link for more details.

Most Americans know what one looks like. The one on the internet is not the one we want to see. It is a fraud. Obviously, he was born in Kenya, as his Grandmother said, not the USA.

"Most Americans" weren't born in Hawaii, or haven't asked for a copy of their birth certificate since Hawaii computerized all birth records in 2001. The Certification of Live Birth is what you get from Hawaii, instead of a copy of your original birth certificate. And all it is, is an extract from the database that was built from the original birth certificates.
All that happens now is they get the request, look up the data, click on 'Print', take the printed certification and sign it and apply the seal.
What you see is what you get. Get used to it, because most other states are or will be doing the same thing. The physical long-form BC is going away. In Hawaii, and I believe Florida, hospitals register the birth by computer, and there is no long-form physical BC at all.
And his (step-)grandmother never said he was born in Kenya. That's another fraud.
Obviously, with their dependence on fraud and ignorance instead of fact, birthers are either liars or gullible sheep.

"I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, when I was in high school. It's a short piece, with a photograph of him. No mention is made of my mother or me, and I'm left to wonder whether the omission was intentional on my father's part, in anticipation of his long departure. Perhaps the reporter failed to ask personal questions, intimidated by my father's imperious manner; or perhaps it was an editorial decision, not part of the simple story that they were looking for. I wonder, too, whether the omission caused a fight between my parents."
This paragraph exists in "Dreams from My Father." It is proof that Obama's birth certificate exists, that his grandmother had a copy, and that he's seen it. So he knows what's on it, and whatever it is -- or isn't -- it's the reason he is fighting its release so ferociously.
Undoubtedly, this knowledge provided the motivation for the ransacking of his grandmother Dunham's apartment within hours of her death. He was looking for this document before it fell into the "wrong" hands."

If you had actually read the essay you posted the link to, you'd see that the BC is completely irrelevant, unless and until the Supreme Court rules that Obama is a natural-born citizen, based on his mother's citizenship and being born in Hawaii.

A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes! A lynch mob is an example of pure democracy in action. There is only one dissenting vote, and that is cast by the person at the end of the rope.
Republic:
Authority is derived through the election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them.
Attitude toward property is respect for laws and individual rights, and a sensible economic procedure.
Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences.
A greater number of citizens and extent of territory may be brought within its compass.
Avoids the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy. Results in statesmanship, liberty, reason, justice, contentment, and progress.
Is the "standard form" of government throughout the world.
A republic is a form of government under a constitution which provides for the election of:
an executive and
a legislative body, who working together in a representative capacity, have all the power of appointment, all power of legislation all power to raise revenue and appropriate expenditures, and are required to create
a judiciary to pass upon the justice and legality of their governmental acts and to recognize
certain inherent individual rights.
Take away any one or more of those four elements and you are drifting into autocracy. Add one or more to those four elements and you are drifting into democracy.
Our Constitutional fathers, familiar with the strength and weakness of both autocracy and democracy, with fixed principles definitely in mind, defined a representative republican form of government. They "made a very marked distinction between a republic and a democracy and said repeatedly and emphatically that they had founded a republic."
A republic is a government of law under a Constitution. The Constitution holds the government in check and prevents the majority (acting through their government) from violating the rights of the individual. Under this system of government a lynch mob is illegal. The suspected criminal cannot be denied his right to a fair trial even if a majority of the citizenry demands otherwise.
Difference between Democracy and Republic, in brief:
Democracy:
a: government by the people; especially : rule of the majority.
b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.
Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether it be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences
Republic
a: a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government.
b: a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law.
Democracy and Republic are often taken as one of the same thing, but there is a fundamental difference. Whilst in both cases the government is elected by the people, in Democracy the majority rules according to their whims, whilst in the Republic the Government rule according to law. This law is framed in the Constitution to limit the power of Government and ensuring some rights and protection to Minorities and individuals.
The difference between Republic and Righteous Republic is that in the Republic the Government rules according to the law set up by men, in the Righteous Republic the law is the Law of God. Only in the Righteous Republic it can truly be said "One nation under God" for it is governed under commandments of the only One True God and there is no pluralism of religions.
Autocracy declares the divine right of kings; its authority can not be questioned; its powers are arbitrarily or unjustly administered.
Mobocracy: 1. Political control by a mob. 2. The mass of common people as the source of political control.
