The 2010 census should be done by postal employees.

Why Is This Idea Important?: It could possibly save taxpayers a lot of money and it keeps out an unscrupulous organization like ACORN.

Let me know what you think of this. I haven't thought it fully out, but it seems plausible on its face.

Since postal employees are already being paid, they should be the ones doing the census. That would save a whole lot of money training and paying 710,00 census workers. There are 750,000 postal workers.

Let's say it takes them two days to accomplish the task. Two Saturdays the mail is not delivered but the postal workers are doing the census instead.

That could save us a WHOLE lot of money and it also prevents organizations like ACORN manipulating data to fit their unscrupulous agenda.

  1. Eeeewwww.

Imagine answering the personal questions to your local letter carrier. LOL

They would have to, at a minimum, scramble neighborhoods.

I posted a New Idea stating that I would refuse to answer any census questions if ACORN or any company having anything to do with ACORN or ACORN's new name is involved with the 2010 census. I said that I would also refuse to pay the $5,000 fine for not answering questions.

It said that that New Idea is waiting for moderator approval.

I think the 2010 census is going to get very interesting.

  3. I don't answer them either. I fill in with overt lies.

I end up waiting for moderator approval on a regular basis. I'm in there now because I posted on Obama wanting Amnesty and my rather strong objection to the idea. :)

sobi, how does it know which topics to "waiting for moderator approval" and which ones not?

I did three New Ideas in a matter of ten minutes. Two ideas went through and one is waiting for approval.

Do you think it's certain words that trigger the "waiting for approval"?

  5. I think it may be a combination of things. One is words, but I think the primary cause of pending is number of new ideas within a time period.

So if you have 3 ideas in a short span of time, you end in pending on the 4th no matter what it says.

  6. The problem is that is they come out buried.

It is angry-making. I want those 3 minutes on page one. They matter.

  8. ABSOLUTELY!! Representative Jason Chaffetz R-UT came up with a "GREAT" idea instead of the dirty, rotten, criminal, Chicago, mobster ACORN counting illegals in the 2010 Census - ACORN who is under federal investigation by the F.B.I. for massive voter fraud in 14 states for the 2008 elections, and has been defrauding the U.S. government for millions and millions of taxpayer dollars for over a decade by conducting purely partisan fraudulent voter registration and defrauding our State & Federal free elections. The U.S. Postal workers, who are trusted by the American people to deliver their mail every day, can faithfully perform the duties necessary for the 2010 Census. Pay the U.S. Postal work to perform the 2010 Census duties NOT dirty, rotten, criminal, Chicago, mobster ACORN.

  10. I don't want ACORN on my property. I don't have much as it is, and I can't afford to have it stolen.

  11. Fabulous idea Bev. However, Comrade Obonguh won't allow it. He wants Acorn to A) Get more of our Tax money, and, B) he knows Acorn will do a much more thorough job of skewering the #'s to the point of insuring a permanent Democrat dominated Gov't.

Pray God, that the evil scam Tax & Slave bill the dark side calls "Cap & Trade" does NOT pass the dirty Roman Senate when it comes up for a vote. Call your Senator, and any Senator that might be swayed and urge them to vote no on this nightmare they are trying to force upon the Republic.
