Stimulus fraud

I just read that stimulus fraud might be in the billions. I thought "Joe" was supposed to be on top of this and you said that "nothing gets past Joe."

What the heck is going on? It is a pitty that people are so stupid. I guess I really can't blame you for taking advantage of the stupid American public. That's just human nature.

    President Barack Obama opened the economic summit by taking aim at the “casual dishonesty” of Bush administration budgets , saying he’ll abandon accounting “tricks” used to hide the ballooning deficit and pledging to cut a $1.3 trillion federal shortfall in half during his first term.

    “I want to be very clear,” Obama said in opening the session in the White House State Dining Room. “We cannot and will not sustain deficits like these without end. Contrary to the prevailing wisdom in Washington these past few years, we cannot simply spend as we please and defer the consequences to the next budget, the next administration and the next generation.”

    At one point, Obama criticized “the casual dishonesty of hiding irresponsible spending with clever accounting tricks, the costly overruns, the fraud and abuse, the endless excuses. This is exactly what the American people rejected when they went to the polls. They sent us here to usher in a new era of responsibility in Washington, to start living within our means again and being straight with them about where their tax dollars are going.”

    Chinese hookers have a drinking problem.

    Obama has the answer: U.S. Tax money.

    So it appears that the President of “change” seems to be The One that drunken Chinese prostitutes “have been waiting for.”

    Our informative friends at CNSNews.com discovered that the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse (NIAA) has been awarded $2.6 million U.S. tax dollars to help train Chinese prostitutes to “drink responsibly on the job.” Yes, I said Chinese prostitutes… in China. One wonders if the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse missed the salient fact that they have the word National in their moniker? Or perhaps the NIAA just missed that the nation in their title is supposed to be our nation, not China’s?

    I guess it’s heartwarming that the NIAA cares so deeply about China’s FSWs (that is university speak for whores — Female Sex Workers), and all, but what of American prostitutes? Are they unworthy of the attention of the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse? Don’t our oh, so intellectual university pinheads care about our own home-grown drunken whores?

    Guess not.

    Naturally, these Ivory Tower illiterati have developed a nearly impenetrable lexicon to pretend as if they are doing something meaningful. Dr. Xiaoming Li, the lead pinhead leading this program at Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan told CNSNews that his work is “potentially of great importance” to someone or another.

    Obama calls his years as an Alinskyesque community organizer in Chicago "the best education I ever had, and where I learned the true meaning of my Christian faith." But as radicalism expert Richard Lawrence Poe has noted, "Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. In organizing coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer."

    Indeed, Alinsky believed in sacrificing ethics and morals for the great cause. "Ethical standards must be elastic to stretch with the times," Alinsky wrote in his last book, "Rules for Radicals," adding that "all values are relative in a world of political relativity."

    Published a year before Alinsky's death in 1972, "Rules for Radicals" includes a dedication in which he gives "an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical . . . who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer."

    Alinsky's writings even explain what often seems like Obama's oversized ego. In New Hampshire in January, for example, the senator told an audience that "a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany . . . and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama."

    It was a bizarre spectacle, but consider that Alinsky believed that "anyone who is working against the haves is always facing odds, and in many cases heavy odds. If he or she does not have that complete self-confidence (or call it ego) that he can win, then the battle is lost before it is even begun."

    According to Alinsky, "Ego must be so all-pervading that the personality of the organizer is contagious, that it converts the people from despair to defiance, creating a mass ego."

    I want to remind you of what Harry Reid said just a few years ago in response to Republican calls for Social Security and Medicare reform. Reacting to GOP warnings in 2005 about the impending insolvency of both programs, Reid sneered:

    “Today’s report confirms that the so-called Social Security crisis exists in only one place — the minds of Republicans,” said Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid of Nevada. “In reality, the program is on solid ground for decades to come.”

    Now, the Obama administration tells us:

    Social Security and Medicare are fading even faster under the weight of the recession, heading for insolvency years sooner than previously expected, the government warned Tuesday. Social Security will start paying out more in benefits than it collects in taxes in 2016, a year sooner than projected last year, and the giant trust fund will be depleted by 2037, four years sooner, trustees reported.

    Medicare is in even worse shape. The trustees said the program for hospital expenses will pay out more in benefits than it collects this year, just as it did for the first time in 2008. The trustees project that the Medicare fund will be depleted by 2017, two years earlier than the date projected in last year’s report.

    The trust funds — which exist in paper form in a filing cabinet in Parkersburg, W.Va. — are bonds that are backed by the government’s “full faith and credit” but not by any actual assets. That money has been spent over the years to fund other parts of government. To redeem the trust fund bonds, the government would have to borrow in public debt markets or raise taxes.

    Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, the head of the trustees group, said the new reports were a reminder that “the longer we wait to address the long-term solvency of Medicare and Social Security, the sooner those challenges will be upon us and the harder the options will be.”

    Republicans have been saying this for years.

    Just a figment of imagination, eh, Sen. Reid?

  4. Recently, I was flipping the channels. CNN had another report on the Stimulus Bill. SEVERAL MILLIONS will go to a State-run liquor store for NEW LIGHTING. A BILLION is going to a NEW FREEZER that holds FISH SPERM. SEVERAL HUNDRED OF MILLIONS is going to MAINTENANCE on TUNNELS UNDER HIGHWAYS for turtles and other small animals to go through, so the animals will not get runned over on the highway.

    Why all this wasted money? People are losing jobs, losing their house, and losing their businesses. People live in tent cities. Obama gave Child Protective Services(CPS) MORE POWER. CPS is taking children from people who lose their jobs, house, and business. What is the U.S coming to? Why is destroying America necessary, Obama?
