Why Is This Idea Important?: Legalizing the use of this plant has many uses other than "Relaxing". Food, Clothes, Fuel, Medicine. Stops the killing. Creates Buisness

Why should we spend billions if not trillions on prohibition. Especially a plant. So what I smoke pot big deal. I take care and provide for my family. Theres plenty of evidence already no need to spend more money researching pot. Federal government has the patent on THC. Federal government has four patients on marijuana. Obama you know the effects of marijuana on a person and you made it to the #1 spot in government the president. Release the non-violent offenders go after the hard drugs, rapist, serial killers, and save us some money.

    Studies have linked pot use to bipolar disorder. And Harvard studies have demonstrated that long term pot use damages the brain in the same areas that show damage in bipolar disorder victims.

    You are incorrect, bellevuedan. Bipolar disorder is genetic, pot has nothing to do with it, tho some who have the disorder use pot to mellow the manic phase rather than rely on prescription meds which make them feel disassociated. Pot does absolutely NO damage to the brain or any other part of the body, our brains have receptor sites for cannabinoids, there is a reson for that. It has been shown to cure cancer:
