Let The People vote durring the next national election to determine the national language

There has been much hoopla over having to press 1 to hear english. And it is almost political suicide for politicians pushing legislation in the house or senate. So I say let the people decide. Put it on the ballet for the next federal election. With the stipulation that those who want to learn english to learn how to fit in can get help through open access training via online resources.

    while we're at it, let's change the American flag to include all the other country's flags. English is the language of the United States for over 200 years, let's leave it that way, we are Americans.

    I just got done doing a little research on this subject and found the following...our constitution was wrote in ENGLISH. If you can't read it then you are not in the right place.

    This is someone who has not learned American History. That decision was made very early on when it was almost a toss up between German and English . . . guess which one barely won.

    Hint for those who have just got out of High School and those who have made a choise to immigrate here . . . it is not German. For all others, you are on your own.

    Linguistics, etymology, and philology (www.youtube.com/hotforwords) would not be so awesome--no matter WHAT bust-size you put behind them--if language were not allowed to evolve so freely.

    The most-powerful language will take its own precedence, and the people will learn!

    I'm sorry you thought I meant 'the language infests the Senate, has itself crowned King, and the people will learn'; I left out one of the steps in the language's conquest, my bad.

    Before the language 'names itself King,' an overwhelming majority of the people in power speak it; THEN the rest of the people learn.

    A downside to that? Living in a world where you can't speak the language. Upside? Have you ever seen "The Sleeping Dictionary"?
