It is not rocket science!

Why Is This Idea Important?: FREEDOM. Federal government - honor the Constitution especially the 10th Amendment. Don't tread on me!

Conforming to the Constitution is not very hard at all. It is written in simple english saying exactly what it means. I have read and reread the entire Constitution and nowhere can I find government taking ove Health Care, providing tax dollars to private companies, and ad hoc reconfiguring the bankruptcy laws to give financial gain to a block of voters. This is not the America I grew up in. This not isolated to the Democrat party, the Republicans are as guilty. If the government is supposed to include everything under the Commerce clause then why do we need to rest of the Constitution? STOP USURPING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!!!

    You obviously did NOT read the Constitution. The government is not LIMITED to only the specific ideas layout out in the Constitution. The Federal and State governments can pass ANY laws they want so long as they don't SPECIFICALLY violate a standing rule of the Constitution. The ABSENCE of a rule doesn't make it illegal.

    Where in the Constitution does it say the Federal government can make marijuana illegal? What passage is that? Or where in the Constitution does it say the Federal Government can say ONLY gay people can't get married? It's not in there. Where does the Constitution say I can't have a machine gun or nuclear weapon? It doesn't does it, yet...

    They are subverting the Constitution and the commerce clause is their primary avenue of corruption.

    The government is limited to the powers granted in the constitution, that was the whole, freaking point.

    zbsfan - Indeed I read the Constitution. The Fed. gov. IS limited to what is in the Constitution. That limited government thing. What pulls it all together for people who can read is the 10th Amendment. If it ain't given to the federal gov. it belongs to the "STATES".

    Your second paragraph only makes my point. If California wants to legalize pot fine, but if Georgia doesn't thats fine also. Where did the Dept. of Education come from? It should be left to the states. If my states has better education than yours and you want that better education move to my state. I think we may be agreeing with each other.
