Is there a way to do that (aside from sending an email to the moderators, which I've already done)?

Post a new comment for corrections?
That would only serve to further irritate the owner of the web site that was named.
I think ideas once posted... if they follow the rules of the board... should not be removed... maybe you could remove your name from the idea... but the idea should remain all the same.... and any editing should be listed at the top of the post and the counter reset... i dont want to vote for "Fair Tax system should be studied by the government" and have it switched out with another "Where's the birth certificate!" post... if i wanna vot on the second ill vote on the second... so if editing gets allowed it should reset the votes and be HEAVILY marked what was edited
I tried to edit the idea and remove the reference. Got a "fatal error" and sent the report to whoever it was supposed to go to. Tried four more times, at different times of the day, and received the same error.
All I can think of is to try revising it and deleting all the text, or replacing the whole text with [deleted]. But that's probably not going to help if you get errors saving your revisions.
Revise the comment to ask for President Obama's birth certificate. I will be deleted very quickly.
