Administrators should not delete posts (read before you vote)

Why Is This Idea Important?: Otherwise this site will keep moving downhill

I think that the only way to clean up this forum is if administrators do NOT delete posts, even if they think that they are invalid, adhocked or spam. All posts should merely be sorted by administrators. Users should be able to choose which category they think their idea should be in (to help aid in the process) but the final category should be selected by the administrators. This would allow all of the incessant birth certificate posts to be moved into categories and be with their like minded brethren. It would also prevent the deletion of these posts, but serving as a filter to more properly initiate discussion

  1. Better yet, tell Obama to address the issue and show the documents and then the moderators wouldn't be needed.

In fact, Obama could even cliam a $25,000,000 reward that he could donate to the government to pay for this website.

How cool could this site be with 25 million bucks!

Your idea is what? Keep a *Birth Certificate* of our President sealed, don't claim the reward, and get others to protect you from seeing the thoughts of anyone wanting to know the truth.

  2. Man, you can't say anything on this site without being immediately marginalized as a radical by a birther. I think they should put up a filter that scans each post for any reference to a birth certificate- if one is found then the message doesn't get through. Simple. Effective. Best of all, it really pisses off the birther as he keeps trying to post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post and post etc. and so on and so on ad infinitum.

I like how I recommend a change to the website, in order to categorize the arguments and appropriately stream information and then in about 2 seconds somebody sidesteps the issue. For example, if I don't understand tax law, I wouldn't want to read suggestions on different tax strategies. Or if I didn't care about the birth certificate issue then I wouldn't have to deal with all of these repetitive posts. If of course you do care about the issue then your issue will still be there. Free speech is important, and censorship is bad, but the redundancy of these arguments is stupid. The people who post them incessantly are not only rude, but are also derisive towards the idea of free speech in general. It's like stating that anyone is entitled to their own opinion, and then shouting yours when they try to speak... oh wait... I'm on the internet.

also citizen "why not have obama", or "tell obama". He's not exactly my personal friend, so I can't call in any favors. Also even if he produced another birth certificate, someone somewhere would call it a fraud, so the need to categorize the issue would still exist.

  5. All these folks who want to shut down the "birth certificate" crowd sound like little censorship thugs to me. We have the right to ask for his bonafides and "Making Data More Accessible" is where these posts should be. Maybe we should put you censorship thugs in a "Whiners Only" site. The number of people asking for this info should be a sign that things aren't well in Utopia.

I do not propose to ruin your fun, but the problem is that on a site that is supposed to be open to many ideas is being flooded by one. I would prefer if things were classified categorically. If so many opinions exist for this one issue, then perhaps it should have all of its relevant suggestions moved into a sub category of making data more accessible. That way not only would nothing be deleted, you would be free to continue your discussion without flooding the page.

Also worthy of note, the 25,000,000 dollar reward sounds a little fishy. Here is the contact information for the owner of the domain

and the post box is registered to "MAIL MART USA" at a local shopping mall. I think someone with $25 million dollars to offer could afford a better website too...
