Electric Vehicles

Why doesn't the government trade all it's limo's and Suv's in for electric cars. Most government limo's only make short trips, trips that would be ideal for electric vehicles. It would also be a good statement if the people saw the president and the other politicains putting themselves in the position they want to put the rest of Americans in.

    Electirc vehicles would be ok if the electricity was produced from a renewable souorce. Otherwise we are burning coal and oil to produce electricity. It is a scientific fact (laws of thermodynamics) that the transfer of energy isnever 100% efficient. So burning coal make electricity then stepping the voltage up then dwon then charging a battery then running a motor gives us multiple losses at each step. We should be working harder on hydrogen fuel cells and stop the panic.
