Making our government more transparent is the way to go, but it should become so during the preparation of each bill, while bills develop in congress, and again, before President Obama signs it. With the public reviewing legislative thinking online, new laws might become more of the democracy this country was built upon. President Obama had a great idea on this issue, while campaigning to become who he is. Let us not rip it apart, but instead, build upon it to create the "we the people," more inclusive. Lawmakers often put their personal growth aspirations into developing bills. Let the public uncover these events in the process of lawmaking, which could even improve the elections process. We should then let our president know when things have not materialized the way they should, in Congress, before he considers approving and signing each bill.
Making Government More Transparent
Why Is This Idea Important?: It is important for people in this country to know first hand what legislative remarks are being made during developing laws, who made them, why the proposed law would improve the public way of life, who wrote it, how to contact the individual lawmaker, copy the president, etc. This imput from average citizens would make voters more aware of the issues and limit bias editing from TV media. All too often people gather bits and pieces of bills and never fully understand why they have become so important for new law. Schools and children could use such a web site in their learning development. People who use this web site to attack our government should have their, so called ideas, put into a political column and serve as personal remarks. It is important to remove "ideas" that are really attacts, to keep this web site constructive. Thus, rules for usage should be clearly stated. I hope my ideas are useful toward improving this web site.

I hope my comments help to improve this web site, by making it more constructive and useful as a learning process, where people could share in government.
Plenty of information is already available about bills in-progress through congress, but this information can be very difficult to search and understand.
vince, one way President Obama can be the leader in transparency is to be transparent about his birth certificate and his prior school records. He's hiding both. That's no way to start a "transparency" movement.
If anyone has read my proposal carefully, there is an indication that more structure and better online web site organization could bring government transparency to heights of expectation.
