Last week, I announced United We Serve – a nationwide call to service challenging you and all Americans to volunteer this summer and be part of building a new foundation for America.
And when I say “all,” I mean everyone – young and old, from every background, all across the country. We need individuals, community organizations, corporations, foundations, and our government to be part of this effort.
Today, for the official kick off of United We Serve, members of my administration have fanned out across America to participate in service events and encourage all Americans to join them.
The First Lady is rolling up her sleeves and getting to work too. But before she headed out today, she asked me to share this message with you.
Our nation faces some of the greatest challenges it has in generations and we know it’s going to take a lot of hard work to get us back on track.
While Michelle and I are calling on every American to participate in United We Serve, the call to service doesn’t end this fall. We need to stay involved in our towns and communities for a long time to come. After all, America’s new foundation will be built one neighborhood at a time – and that starts with you.

Had to post that bile three times? Mr Obama, will you volunteer to come and mow my lawn this weekend, I have a bad back. No? Didn't think you would. I will never participate in "United We Serve" because it's yet another distraction. Where's the long form Birth Certificate?
I only pasted it once. They have a problem with their software.
They have a bigger problem than that.
Might I suggest a glock G34C or the G35C. The 34 is a 9mm and the 35 is a 40cal.
A Ruger SR556 assault rifle and a 7mm ultramag Remington Model 700 Alaskan Wilderness II Bolt Action Rifle with a Schmidt & Bender 10x42 scope.(any Rem 700 with at least a 308 round and a bullbarrel would work great...remember to buy matched/balanced sets if you don't roll your own already)
The 700 is to keep them from hitting you first. the SR556 is just in case they get within 150 yards of you...and the G35 is for when you have one right up next to you...

In my Texas they had better know how to read my highly visible "no tresspassing" signs and fear them because I can legally shoot at anyone not abiding by them. God I love Texas!!!

I got this message in my e mail from BO, himself (yeah, right). I replied and said that I already volunteered at my church and was not willing to "hoof it" for ACORN. "Nice try," I said.

That would put you on the terrorist list Calif. You'll be there with me. I answered back that he was unfamiliar with small town America and that we help our neighbors without being told.
I wonder if we could lobby for the brown shirts to wear "florescent yellow" shirts...they would make for a better target that way...yellow hats too! Maybe Target Dept stores could donate the shirts and get in a little free advertising...you know a target on the front and back of the shirt would be a nice touch.
I've been a squirrel hunter for 60 years, I can see just fine!
Have you heard the story about Daniel Boone? He shot a squirrel out of a great big Hickory tree, and the guy with him said, "I didn't see that squirrel". Daniel told him, "I saw his ear, and figured there was a squirrel under it".
I would just like to have a better looking target is all.
I have a Ruger 10/22 that is an awesome squirrel gun...It has a few mods to it but just to make it more accurate. I wouldn't ever give up my 10/22.
