I really payed attention during the Presidential Campaigns in regards to all the candidates discussions around health care. The REAL reform needs to take place in the insurance industry. The elephant in the room in the insurance companies. I have watched ongoing discussions about our health care system, but the foundation of all the issues surrounding health care starts and ends with insurance companies. Insurance companies have their hands in the patients, doctors, and hospitals' pockets. If we focus on overhauling the Insurance Companies, we will see a HUGE difference in our health care system. I believe that the reason nobody addresses the major culprit, the insurance companies, is because the government has been in bed with the insurance companies since the days of Nixon. The insurance companies continue to make billions of dollars in profits quarterly, along with raising premiums for patients and dictating what medication a patient may have, how long their hospital stay will be, and what physician they can see.

We need to dump the health insurance industry. That's what single-payer health care will do, and they know it.
The massive campaign to preserve their profits is fueling the fight, but make no mistake.
They want to preserve their profits. Not fix health care.
You're right. The Insurance Industry continues to post billions in profits quarterly at the expense of the patient. The quality of patient care is lost, because the insurance companies make decisions that are best for them-NOT the PATIENT.
what a corrupt health care system we have. Known CURES (not treatments) have been available for cancer, diabetes and more - for YEARS. They don't help people be healthy - expect lighter in the pocket book.
People get a clue - its not about the insurance companies... its the POLITICIANS. If POLITICIANS weren't so damn corruptable then unions, lobbyists, and special interests would have to just go home... and honest politicians could go on and fix the mess.
But because most politicians can be bought, and because most politicians do NOT have to live the same as us (they get free car use, paid insurance, paid gas cards, pensions for retirements, free health care, don't pay into social security, and as we have seen in the news many high profile politicians dont like to pay their federal taxes either)... because of this they can NEVER represent us. How can they?
So why on earth is the answer to give them MORE control over us? Give them trillion$ more in power and corruption? This is a group that stays in power for their own well being not ours. Why do you think they all oppose term limits?
They cant run Social Security. They cant run Medicaid, Medicare. These are failing MISERABLY in the most inefficient and corrupt programs ever in history... and some people want to give them Universal Healthcare to run as well? Sheer insanity!
WAKE UP AMERICA - We are being duped by crooked POLITICIANS, who invite the big money in to enrich them individually. And so now if that system is deemed to not work (now being seen as taking special interest money), then they simply now propose to take the money directly from the tax payers in the form of more debt and higher taxes, so they can run the larger programs and wield more power. If they cant get $ from special interests they will just steal it directly from us.
Then what happens in the future if you let this Federal Govt grow out of control? In the future, you don't agree with the administration? Ooops that request to state run health care for a kidney transplant...hey we lost it, sorry. That request for a new credit card from state run credit card system... sorry, lost your application, and we are putting a hold on your credit. Oh and that request you made to purchase a hunting rifle... denied. Sorry, you should not have gone against the government.
Big Brother wants us all more dependent on him. STOP BUYING INTO IT. Be independent.
Let's clean up the perks for politicians first. They aren't fixing anything because they don't want their gravy train to end. The more we can stand on our own, the weaker they are. Let's start by stripping away all their perks and make them live as we do. Then we will find the politicians who truly would be interested in representing US as a Republic.
rue that all makes sense except for,,,,,,
and honest politicians could go on and fix the mess.
Is there on out there?
We have come to think of sick care as health care. People need to do more preventative care and stay away from allopathic medicine and Big Pharma. That would eliminate some of the cost.
Democracy:
A government of the masses.
Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of "direct" expression.
Results in mobocracy.
Attitude toward property is comunistic-negating property rights.
Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate. whether it be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences.
Results in demagogism license, agitation, discontent, anarchy.
Democracy is the "direct" rule of the people and has been repeatedly tried without success.
A certain Professor Alexander Fraser Tytler, nearly two centuries ago, had this to say about Democracy: " A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of Government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess out of public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that Democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a Dictatorship."
A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes! A lynch mob is an example of pure democracy in action. There is only one dissenting vote, and that is cast by the person at the end of the rope.
Republic:
Authority is derived through the election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them.
Attitude toward property is respect for laws and individual rights, and a sensible economic procedure.
Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences.
A greater number of citizens and extent of territory may be brought within its compass.
Avoids the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy. Results in statesmanship, liberty, reason, justice, contentment, and progress.
Is the "standard form" of government throughout the world.
A republic is a form of government under a constitution which provides for the election of:
an executive and
a legislative body, who working together in a representative capacity, have all the power of appointment, all power of legislation all power to raise revenue and appropriate expenditures, and are required to create
a judiciary to pass upon the justice and legality of their governmental acts and to recognize
certain inherent individual rights.
Take away any one or more of those four elements and you are drifting into autocracy. Add one or more to those four elements and you are drifting into democracy.
Our Constitutional fathers, familiar with the strength and weakness of both autocracy and democracy, with fixed principles definitely in mind, defined a representative republican form of government. They "made a very marked distinction between a republic and a democracy and said repeatedly and emphatically that they had founded a republic."
A republic is a government of law under a Constitution. The Constitution holds the government in check and prevents the majority (acting through their government) from violating the rights of the individual. Under this system of government a lynch mob is illegal. The suspected criminal cannot be denied his right to a fair trial even if a majority of the citizenry demands otherwise.
Difference between Democracy and Republic, in brief:
Democracy:
a: government by the people; especially : rule of the majority.
b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.
Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether it be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences
Republic
a: a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government.
b: a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law.
Democracy and Republic are often taken as one of the same thing, but there is a fundamental difference. Whilst in both cases the government is elected by the people, in Democracy the majority rules according to their whims, whilst in the Republic the Government rule according to law. This law is framed in the Constitution to limit the power of Government and ensuring some rights and protection to Minorities and individuals.
The difference between Republic and Righteous Republic is that in the Republic the Government rules according to the law set up by men, in the Righteous Republic the law is the Law of God. Only in the Righteous Republic it can truly be said "One nation under God" for it is governed under commandments of the only One True God and there is no pluralism of religions.
Autocracy declares the divine right of kings; its authority can not be questioned; its powers are arbitrarily or unjustly administered.
Mobocracy: 1. Political control by a mob. 2. The mass of common people as the source of political control.
If we can shed the politicians perks, and offer them a simple salary commensurate with the work they do, then an amazing thing will happen - the dirtbags in it for the money will leave and righteous politicians will arise, from whom we can choose the best to represent us.
In England if you're 59 or older they won't give you heart stints or a heart bypass.
Just let it be known that if we go to Universal Health Care, which is government paid and government managed health care, our system will be just like England's, and if you're 59 and you need heart care, forget about it. They don't allow you to have it.
I made to NEW POSTS about this, and they both say "Pending Moderator Approval." I'm figuring the Obama gang doesn't want Americans over 59 to know this.
