Make No New Legislation Without Also Repealing Two Existing Pieces of Legislation

Why Is This Idea Important?: Simply adding to the millions of pages of restrictions currently on the books contributes to stifling of free enterprise, easy flow of commerce and to unnecessary reduction of personal freedom. The current volume of code contains innumerable items of dubious value, contradictions, unnecessary expense, favoritism, or just plain outdated legislation. All too often, obscure regulations are dug up and used in ways their framers could not possibly have imagined, resulting in actions against the public interest.

Require new legislative packages to contain legislation repealing twice as much as the new package aims to put on the books.

Sounds like a great idea, until I think about the so-called Representative, representing the American People. They don't even read the Legislation they pass to increse your taxes, destroy jobs, and to make living life in America miserable. Since I can assure you they want read the two pieces of legislation they cancel either, you would probably discover the "Day After" that they canceled the two laws that prevents them from taxing you for waking up in the morning, and for eating a bowl of Cheerios with two teaspoons of sugar.

They could start by repealing legislation which is illegal under the constitution such as the patriot act and immunity for telecoms that were spying on us.

From section 9 of your US constitution:

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.

No bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Nice sentiment, but impractical. Besides with that bunch of yahoos that are in there, they would likely start by repealing the bill of rights.
