If you're not very, very frightened America, it's because you're not paying attention. There are some very dark forces at work in this country that are subverting our capitalistic, Constitutional democracy. The reason you're not reading or hearing about them is because most of the main-line media (both print and video) have become politicized and have abdicated their responsibility to the public.
When a democracy is being threatened the very first thing to go is a free, RESPONSIBLE media. When the media is no longer doing its job of holding politicians' "feet to the fire" and/or no longer reporting corruption, abuse or investigating fraud and waste then you have a public that is no longer informed and good government depends upon being informed and responding to that information.
Since the Presidential campaign most of the major media have been so in bed with Obama that it is necessary to look in the "nooks and crannies" to find out what is truly happening. I could tell you on this site which of the media are the biggest abusers and the places where you could really find the news but I'm certain the moderators would not allow that. All I say is be aware of the problem and refuse to support media that is polically biased or slanted either by watching it or reading it EVEN WHEN YOU AGREE WITH THE BIAS! Our democracy depends upon this. It is the loss of income from advertisers when ratings drop that will cure the problem.

You are absolutely correct about this. I watch C-SPAN, Fox News and compare it to MSNBC, NBC, ABC,etc. So far I have found Fox News reports what I actually see happening on C-SPAN (actual debates in congress and senate)as compared to sometimes, maybe, Chris Matthews on MSNBC might be fair and balanced, but so far it is only Fox News.
I would beg people to please watch C-SPAN to find out what is really going on in Washington. They can't cover those things up because they are usually happening as you watch it. The democrats really change a lot of stuff around to fit their agenda to look good with the mainstream media, who get their orders every morning from Rahm Emanual and the White House staff on what to put out for the day, which is of course anything to put blame on Bush or republicans for everything Obama is doing to ruin our country.
Our nation has been taken over from internal invaders ( enemies ) from the judicial, legislative and exectutive branch of government. These lunatics are not american even though they claim to be american The first Usurper sits in the white House and he damn well knows it. the ay will come when they will all be tried for treason and held accountable. It's all in gods timing.
Next month is TEA PARTY TIME! They tried to ignore us in April, they lied about our numbers and our message, but they can't get away with that much longer!

That is why Fox kicks ratings arse all day long up down and across the dial.If not for GE subsidizing NBC & MSNBC to promote THE ONES agenda they'd be gone.CBS and ABC and thier ratings are evidence of how far out of touch with Flyover country they are.
I'll make a comment on my own post. You guys named names and the moderators cleared it so I'll say I agree with who they are. MSNBC, NBC, CBS & ABC have to go!!

Correct about the media but we are a Republic not a Democracy. I don't have a TV in my house anymore. I don't want liberal programming.
The only liberal programming is PBS which I like.

The socialists have been training dictators in waiting for decades. The Rhodes scholarship program is one example. Bill Clinton made visits to the Gramsci Institute in Rome. Most Americans don't have a clue. Go ask around, "who was Antonio Gramsci"? Not many will know, do you? Gramsci modified Marxism, to make it more effective at conquering societies with strong traditions of freedom. History hasn't really been taught in American schools for decades, can't you imagine why?
