Please vote to set Marc Emery free! No man should be punished for selling seed of the Earth! Let no government tread upon the gifts of life bestowed to all mankind by Creation.
Those who control the U.S. and who harbor bigotry toward the cannabis culture are using the seeds of life as an excuse to deny Marc Emery his life and liberty. The U.S. is seeking to extradite Marc Emery from Canada and incarcerate him for selling flower seeds. Marc Emery openly operated a flower seed business in Canada for 10 years, proceeds from which he paid taxes on and donated to pro-hemp/pro-cannabis political movements.
Marc Emery will soon to be added to the ranks of political prisoners incarcerated by the United States because of its senseless culture war on people who use cannabis. This action by the U.S. is an ugly waste of tax payer dollars, is an affront to Life and to the inalienable rights of all mankind, and should be abandoned posthaste.

Cannibis causes bipolar disorder according to Harvard University studies.
God gave us Cannibis and goats. Doesn't mean God approves of every thing man has done with either.
God didn't make the laws of the country. I don't equate a pot grower with a murderer and they should not get sentenced equally. The CIA is responsible for the "drug war" not a man in a field sowing his seeds! Jails are full of non-violent law-breakers. The privately owned jails get paid for each prisoner. SCAM!
So this Marc Emory sold pot seeds to people for 10 years. How many hundreds or thousands of his customers have developed bipolar disorder over the years. How many can't hold a job or a relationship thanks to this criminal. Lock him up and throw away the key. The man is a murderer.
bellevuedan,
In a free and secular nation, how did any man become the voice of God's approval? Free and secular means that, so long as my action is non-violent and with the consent of those receiving the action, what I do is to be tolerated regardless of anyone's moral objections.
BTW bellevuedan, I call b.s. on your 'bipolor disorder' accusation. Please, show me a link, and be more careful not to go slinging fecal matter without consideration of factual data.
The closest thing you'll find to connection of a mental disorder with cannabis use is a possible correlation between marijuana use those who are predisposed to having schizophrenia being at greater risk of becoming schizoid; but, even here it has been found that compounds in marijuana called CBD's (cannabidiones) may actually help to delay or offset a schizophrenic episode; i.e., there is the possibility that schizoids smoke marijuana to self-medicate.

Deadly nightshade... at least growing it in your garden will not result in the government royally shagging up your life; nor should it. Does American 'freedom' bestow upon us freedom FROM nature? What kind of freedom is that?
bellevuewdan: Please educate yourself on the facts, you're spouting propaganda and theory without any rational or scientific basis. I know hundreds of people who smoke cannabis every day, or nearly every day, and since high school I've never once seen anyone turn into a pchizophrenic...although I have seen many lives ruined by alcohol, and many people die of cancer from tobacco.
As Juxtapostle notes, there have been studies which SUGGEST--but that have not yet been retested and verfied as fact--that if you are predisposed to such conditions that cannabis might be a trigger that sets it off...but logically, any chemical can set people off in one way or another. For example, there are people out there who are allergic to various food items such as milk, strawberries, peanuts, soy, et cetera. Does this mean that that small percentage of people who develop allergies should result in the banning of those foods for the rest of us? What about all the people around the world who have died or become ill due to reactions to all of the rapidly increasing number of genetically modified foods? Yuo won't see a single health board of government agency saying a thing about PATENTED FOODS...so what's the big uproar over a natural plant, grown in the dirt without any need for fertilizers, pesticides, or any other chemicals?
In actual fact, Marc Emery--if extradited to the US for no crimes comitted either within or outside of the US--will likely serve the rest of his life in a US prison, where the vast majority of first degree premeditated murderers get 20 years.
Marc Emery's non-crime was selling cannabis seeds via mail order.
Marc Emery never sold a single thing within the US.
Marc Emery never mailed cannabis across the border. No weed, no stems, no buds...not even a pack of papers to roll it up with.
Selling seeds is not a crime in Canada, therefore, within the country that Marc Emery lives, he comitted no crime.
Any "perceived crime" as dictated by the US Drug Enforcement Agency has no victims to speak of, and there is no list of criminal complainants due to the fact that there are no victims. If there is no victim, there can be no claim for loss, and if there has been no loss suffered by anyone, simple logic dictates that there can be no proof of any crime. If there is no confirmable evidence of a crime being comitted, there is no crime.
It really is that simple.
I have been smoking marijuana for 28 years, I'm not bipolar. I work and pay taxes, I am not a criminal. A plant is NOT a drug, drugs are processed, like MARINOL!
