Instead of Taxing Cow-Farts to Bully Farmers into Controling Methane-Output ...

Why Is This Idea Important?: Because 'using loss to bully cow-farmer citizens into doing what's smart' is so far below 'using gain to encourage them' that it's naturally the better option for our government that wishes to be more-efficient.

Have each farmer Raise the cows in a greenhouse (with a vent and air container at the top to filter and contain the methane)! Then deliver the methane to the appropriate government office in exchange for a refund on the cows bought who made that gas!

The 'government office' can then either appropriately destroy that gass or can modify it into a more-usable form.

I live in greenhouse country, and there is simply no way that anyone can afford to set up greenhouses that large. It would take tens of trillions of dollars to accomplish that task, and the end result would simply be a land coverred in plastic that would then need to be repaired and replaced regularly, adding further costs to farms, and to end prices.

I understand the idea behind the suggestion, as it could definitely trap methane, but the domes/greenhouses would then overheat, because they would still need to be vented, and each time those vents were opened to keep from killing the cows themselves, or the grasses they feed on, methane would then be released at a far greater rate due to convection currents. The benefits if such as scenario would really be negligible...but keep your mind open! At least you're TRYING to find a possible solution, unlike any of our politicians!

Your a dumbass. You have no idea how hard it is to break even on a ranch. There is no way you can keep the amount of cattle needed to stay ahead in greenhouse facilities, especially since during the spring and summer months the cattle herds are allowed to graze to keep costs down; it would be way too costly in an alreadyunpromising industry. Why don't you travel outside of the city for once in your life.....and I thought hicks were supposed to be the dumb ones.....
