evreport, oh, I'll still be asking "Where's the birth certificate," but I will be doing it in avenues that I know actually get heard, such as emailing ALL Congresspeople, Representatives, etc. I even do that on a local level.

It's very interesting how concerned citizens who merely ask for the birth certificate are called names instead of given proof that Obama is eligible. Soetoro has NOT been proven eligible by any authority. the Fake cert. of live birth(COLB)

is a fake, a COLB is NOT a birth cert. His COLB was "allegedly" issued by the state of Hawaii. his BIRTH CERTIFICATE and all vital records have been sealed by the courts since he ran for senator. he is calling his COLB a BIRTH CERTIFICATE, which it is not, and the state of hawaii does not consider a COLB to prove any kind of citizenship. The following is only an example,A native hawaiian CANNOT use a COLB to prove he/she is entilted to any native Hawaiian benifits. They would need to provide an actual B.C. that states the Dr., place of birth(hospital name), witnesses/parents. There is no hospital within the state of Hawaii that has any records of his birth.(This Fact has been ignored for over a year) You too can get a COLB from Hawaii, go ahead and get one. then use it as your actual BIRTH CERTIFICATE and let each agency you show it to explain to you again the differences. Elected officials within Hawaii suffer from this same confusion, although the Gov. is now in a lawsuit to disclose the information on the basis of historical importance.

Where I get my information on what is sufficient for what the Federal Government considers sufficient to prove the place of birth is from the State Department's application to register for a passport. It states, and I quote: "A birth certificate must include your full name, the full name of your parent(s), date and place of birth, sex, date the birth record was filed, and the seal or other certification of the official custodian of such records."

The State of Hawaii has confirmed that it is a valid birth certificate, many places. But check a look at Politifact: "'It's a valid Hawaii state birth certificate,' spokesman Janice Okubo told us."

So, let me ask you one thing, panderson39. If the Federal Government accepts the document as proof of the place of birth, then why wouldn't they accept it as proof of the place of birth?

And m.jyoung, I think that you are the one that's dilusional. The State Department has said that it's sufficient to prove the place of birth to the Federal Government. Furthermore, I just applied for a passport about a week ago. The County Government, on behalf of the Federal Government, accepted the birth certificate that I had, which looked very much the same as Obama's Birth Certificate. Only thing that was different was it had my parent's place of birth, rather than their race. Neither of course were necessary.

panderson39, the problem comes when he actually requests a copy of his birth certificate. The State of Hawaii doesn't issue the long-form birth certificate to anyone anymore. So, if he did request a replacement for his birth certificate, say he lost it, guess what he would get issued...

That's right, exactly what he got issued in 2007.
