REBUILDING THE HOUSING MARKET

Why Is This Idea Important?: Because giving money to ACORN produces nothing of value to the economy or the country.

If "The White House" really had wanted to stimulate the economy, it (he) would have taken the money it (he) gave to ACORN (which produces nothing for the economy)and would have given it to Habitat for Humanity or some other organization to help rebuild New Orleans or other communities in need of housing. That would have put people to work and stimulated money for building supplies.

    No money has been given to Acorn. That is a right wing lie. The stim package included money for food stamps, unemployment extensions etc. Items which the governor of Louisiana has stated that he'll reject because it is pork spending.

    The money allocated for rebuilding New Orleans has been held up. According to one report I saw, the prople in the FEMA department responsible for releasing the money have deliberately held it up in order to keep their jobs. People hired during the Bush admin. The report included people currently working at that department who were whistle blowers.

    It is not a right wing lie that ACORN got taxpayer money because it did.
