The UN is a farce. The US should withdraw from the UN and start a new organization that promotes Democracy and Freedoms. The UN has turned into a power grabbing do nothing Bureaucracy that believes it has the right to impose it's will on free people while giving aid and comfort to totalitarian regimes, while individuals in the UN profit from behind the scene bribes.
Resolutions passed by the UN are worth less than the paper they are printed on. How many times must they say "We really, really, really are serious this time" before a dictator complies? It is a joke. They condemn Darfur yet do nothing. They pass resolution after resolution, yet never enforce the resolutions. They place sponsors of terror on the Human Rights Commission.
The US needs to abandon the UN since the UN has lost their way. Kick UN out of NY and let them set up HQ in Cuba, Syria, North Korea, or Zimbabwe.

That is a great Idea. It has become a useless beurocracy that has outlived any usefulness. When the biggest abusers of Human Rights sit on Human Rights commissions you know what a real sham it is. Let's get out now and we will save Billions!
The most common way that America promotes Democracy and Freedom is from the point of a bullet. I do not buy that bull sh*t anymore. American imperialism is about conquering and control; it is only a means to justify the enormous expense to the military and away from programs that benefit we the taxpayers.
Dialog is when civilized countries discuss their differences among each other. Dialog is far cheaper than war. Dialog is how wars eventually end. The United Nations does serve a purpose by reducing tensions and airing grievances.
