Of course not, it is highly desirable to ensure that a full representation of all of the stake holders and any intelligent life form that just so happens to be passing by this solar system does not get offended.

One may try to discount my comment about other intelligent life, but look at the facts; 1) There is very little evidence that they exist, 2) there is very little contact with humans and 3) of the claims that are made of contact with intelligent life from some other planet, the contact is made with the average human and even with government officials, but none is made directly with politicians.
