That isn't Palin's doing. She inherited that. Alaska doesn't have much of a tax base, anyway, and they have surplus oil revenues. If she promises to translate Alaska's example to the rest of the U.S., I might consider voting for her, though!!

But the fact remains, she didn't do that. She's only maintaining laws and advantages her forebears handed her. Just like Barack is dealing with the debt his forebears handed him.

Obama's dealing with debt from his forbears by borrowing and spending in stealth-mode and quietly raising taxes? Wow - I must have attended a much different economics class than Obama. I wonder why Wall Street hasn't been showing much faith since Obama won the election? And now we have Chinese students laughing at Geitner who tells them that Chinese asset values are safe. C'mon Blackmon. In these United States, because of the people that we are and the freedoms we embrace, there are many anomolies. That response doesn't embrace my thoughts anymore than a South Central thug speaks for you. Everyone has been kicked around in their lifetime, some more than others. I grew up in a household, I would bet, poorer than yours and while we didn't have the racial differences in the neighborhood, the economic discrimination was prevalent and hurtful as you were just "no good" because you lived on the wrong side of the tracks. You'll find a pecking order in any level of society for any variety of reasons. But somehow you work your way through it. It's just a shame that when a person runs short of argument, that a personal attack and "scorched earth tactic" has to be used to try to weaken the adversary rather than withdraw.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

I didn't grow up poor. I didn't grow up in the ghetto. Few of the common stereotypes apply to me. I DID have relatives who lived in the ghetto and I spent a lot of time with them. Believe me, I know how to fight.

I made reference to our resident racist because it's people like him (along with birfer lawyer ineptitude) that will conspire to undermine your cause. Much like Detective Mark Furman, it only takes one vocal racist to poison a pot.

Believe it or not, I am not an Obama flunky. I voted for him because he sets a proper family model for black people. He loves his wife; he has no outside kids and he's a strong proponent of education. Other than that, I can't think of any of his policies that I absolutely agree with, and I can think of several that make me sick.

But this whole birfer movement makes me sick. You guys have floated more turds than an outfit of well-fed Marines. And the stench doesn't seem to bother you. You're willing to say or do anything to get rid of the president. That's really crappy (no pun intended).

First of all, It's nice to know that you appreciate the "family" and I agree completely with your reasoning. That being said, I do not follow without leadership that I believe in, rather I'm a free thinker, an Independent, don't give a damn who is elected as long as he takes care of "us," is open and honest, and agrees that one of the most important things in life is the the individual's right to pursue happiness and prosperity with little Government interference. What I'm seeing now is a paternal Government limiting my ability to make my own decisions in life. Further, before I turn my life over to the "Messiah," and let him bestow his version of Utopia upon us, I want to know more about the man.... the basics will help. Would you have let your daughter go to the prom with this man??? I think not. Further, I believe that you and I are not too far apart on most issues, only a basic point that has been presented on this blog.

Touche'. The reason President Obamam's big government plans don't frighten me is because I went off grid ten years ago. I cut up all my credit cards and went strictly cash. I started working for myself (which you can probably tell because of the amount of free time I have). I started growing my own vegetables and I dug a well. Soon, I'll convert my home to solar energy.

My home is almost paid for. Other than that I don't owe anybody. If I can't afford to pay cash for things, those things don't get bought. I think that debt is a form of slavery. Our national debt is my biggest nightmare. Obama hasn't done anything to assuage that nightmare--yet. I'm willing to give him time, but not four years.

But I can see how people who are on the grid can fear the government.
