It was troubling to me, when I first saw "Open Government Dialogue" showing the President's seal and NAPA's opening statement; "How can we strengthen our DEMOCRACY and promote.........
When I think back to my grammar school days, I recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and at eight years old knew we lived in a REPUBLIC!!
Democracy, as a form of government, is utterly repugnant to---is the very antithesis of --the traditional American system: that of a Republic, and it's underlying philosophy, as expressed in essence in the Declaration of Independence with primary emphasis upon the people's forming their government so as to permit them to posses only "just powers"[ limited powers] in order to make and keep secure the God-given, unalienable rights of each and every Individual and therefore of all groups of Individuals.
It is important to keep in mind the difference between a Democracy and a Republic, as dissimilar forms of government. These two forms: are not only dissimilar but antithetical, reflecting the sharp contrast between (a) The Majority Unlimited, in a Democracy, lacking any legal safeguard of the rights of the Individual and the Minority, and (b) the Majority Limited, in a Republic under a written Constitution safeguarding the rights of the Individual and the Minority.

The real problem is that The Republic has given all of our bananas to corporations through both the Republican and Democrat representatives whose duty was to represent all, and not only the corporate special intersests, in return for corporate bribes for legislation that serves virtually only them.

Correct. There is no honor of country or self. It's all about power and greed. Doing things for the common good is gone. There is no true leadership none... Nothing... This is why we are in this boat, but here's the troubling part. No one really cares until it affect them directly. This is why we are in a 11T whole. No one really cares, our so called leaders just do what they want because no one cares and they just keep on getting elected with the people to busy doing other things, that no one is paying attention. This is why I call you sheep. For as sheep are dumb right to the slaughter, so as it is with us.
If I ran a company the way our leaders run this country, I will be fired ASAP, thrown in jail, or just flat out killed. They (the government) are morons.

Why do you think that liberals scream so loud about getting everyone to vote? They know just how cheap some people are to buy, and they are buying them with our money. This is the fatal flaw in all democracies, they are bled to death by leeches and power hungry politicians.
I don't dispute that fact of mob except It is controled. The people are intentionally lead by both their leaders and the corporate media, while they go about abusing the masses and collecting unfairly the resourses of the world for unfair profits and even killing wars. Majority rule, especially when the pain of the abuses is felt is the best time for mob being. There is no real oversight on our lying leaders, instead there are payoffs between our elite money takers that routinely squander our labor mostly only for even more unfair profits. Democrat or Republican Politicians neither really either are really honest or even care for the people they represent, there is so little oversight excpt for internal power purposes. It's true, democracy stinks and is unfair, but it is better than the standard banana republic ways of the world that the US also pretty much is. Capitalism the big pigs get it all, whle the many get a few scraps of the wealth that was earned by them. There is no perfect system, they all get corrupted as the US government now virtually completely is. Perhaps this mobster doesn't make too much sense to you, but really what else can I do to make this republic understand that creating intelligence to give those lies to me, so my kid will go fight in their wars of choice for even more profit while they have murdered approximately 2 million innocent people, mostly only because they did not the US war in the first place. Our government should not be allowed to murder even one person at all, even if it was for great profits.
When people do not understand the legitimite role of our government, and expect the wrong things, it gives the government power that is not rightfully theirs. If you expect government to solve all problems and take care of you 24/7, you are part of the problem.
That depends on the issue. If you are opposed to Government Heath Care, I would of course appreciate the old fashion kind, where each paid their own way. But the ultra big corporations have it so captured for their profit taking in every immaginable way, that health care is no longer possible for most on a pay as you go basis. Unfortunately they have monopolized virtually every field, few individual families can even survive living off their farms any more. If we could break-up all of the major inductries to approximately what they were in maximum size approximately 60 years ago, we could get back to more individual competition again. I don't think the big gluttons would allow that, as what now is wanted is complete control of completely everything. The only alternative for people is have the government do what you don't wantit to do. The population is virtually enslaved, the corporations want super big profits that their earn for them, and then don't want to take care of the slaves, so where else can they turn but to their government? Should we just let the slaves all die? right? We'll just get some more even less expensive oreign slaves, and we can make even more profit, if there are any customers left to use what corporations produce. All the money in one big pile and no one left to spend it on as well. Good toilet paper. And then there will be no more wars because the one last person still serviving owns all of everything?

isiya: You appear to me as a Ron Paul. I supported him with my tid-bits as long as he was in the run. He had a good campaign set up, but big media didn't want him, and he scared the GOP. The kids in the Middle East would be at least beginning total pullout had he made it. The thought of closeing all of the Military bases all giving notice would have been exciting. That would be giant piles of money saved. We get New World Order instead. Another thing I liked about him is that I don't think he swallowed the 9-11 scam either. I didn't "cave" but just being realistic. Old farts like me can't do anything but bitch, so I do.

As to the 9/11 conspiracy theory, it isn't valid. I understand exactly how the towers collapsed and it doesn't involve extra explosive charges. Any country blacksmith can tell you what happened to the building framework.

I have only about a years experience in welding, and am no expert in black smithin.
But there is absolutely no way that the steal beams that reinforse the WTC center could have melted without the nana-thermate that was found throughout the WTC complex area after the so called collapses. Nano-thermate is not allowed on the open market and is directly controled by DOD. Hundreds of Independant scientist in the US and abroad have studied the the evidence and agree that the US Official story is an obvious a fantasy. Note also that one of the 9=11 commission members, Max Cleland, resigned in his contempt, calling the commission a scam, over the fact that they were not allowed a free hand in conducting a real investigation.
There are literally hundreds of seriouis problems and questions that need ansering concerning the obvious err and overlooking of evidence that was in fact available and needing to be checked out that appears to be intentionally avoided.
I voted for George Bush in 2000, I had no ax to grind and did put up a resistance and fought off the so called conspiracy theories. But finally, I did have to look. There is very much proving that the official stroy is flat wrong from start to finish. There were aircraft crashed on 9-11, but it appears that no AlQaeda were really involved, whether or not they had any plans. The 9-11 terror was at a minimum, a US covert assisted operation. If anyone wants the truth one way or another, they might google 9-11 Nano thermate. Of course there are the scamers and conspiracy nuts that just grab stuff out of the air, but they are easy to identify and ignore.

Thomas Jefferson had a lot of advice for us along these lines also. I just wish more US citizens were interested in studying our history.

pdennany, I can hang 20 feet of stovepipe from a tree, build a little clay hearth under it, and melt steel, with a charcoal fire. Once you get a draft started it will suck in all the oxygen it needs. I've done a lot of forging with charcoal using an old vacuum cleaner for a blower. I promise you, it will melt steel.
Those tall buildings made excellent chimneys, the burning jet fuel got all the oxygen it needed. Once the floor beams started to sag, and pulled the verticals out of plumb, the only way to go was down.
tsiy: I won't try after this entry. I do wish it was what happened, the evidence says otherwise. There were firemen up where the fires were at and they reported that the fires were relatively small and made it obvious that it was only building firnishing buring in manageble pockets of fire left (after the fuel oil jet fuel had all burned out). Notice as well that the smoke after the fuel oil jet fuel was already burned that only black smoke remained in continuing smolder of furnishings that were still burning.
If you want the truth, you have to ber convinced by other than abstract thinking. If ya care for the real truth your government and corporate media won't give it to you. Probably one of the best proofs is Building 7 that was a block away from the buildings that were hit by aircraft, and was not hit by a plane.
