Who is Participating?

Why Is This Idea Important?: We need to know how many people are involved in this discussion. I am sure that the moderators are counting, however, I dont know if this is a valid representative sample of the nation?

I am curious at this point how many people are participating in this dialog? The site should show how many people are registered and logged in overall and at any particular time. That could show how viable the suggestions may be from this program. Does it represent 10, 100, 1000, 1,000,000 individals?

I do not want to see who is participating or signed on, just the numbers. I realize that its not limited to US signup (how would they know?) also based on some of the grammar, we are talking either English as a Second Language folks or Public School Graduates.

The contact link at the bottom of this page just gives a postal address. Moderators, can you provide a profile of the number of participants signed up each day over the course of the last few weeks and also how many indivuduals have been either posting ideas or commenting? If that was a live display on the page that would be great.

If its just a few of us particupating, how about meeting at the diner down near the bus station? You, know, the one between the liquor store and the unemployment office. We can finish this all up over eggs and corned beef hash. I will bring a copy of the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Common Sense (Payne's, that is). I will save you a seat. Decaf or Regular?

I think it's humorous when someone insults others by saying things like "based on some of the grammar, we are talking either English as a second language or Public School Graduates" and then they misspell or when they make their own grammatical error like putting a comma between "You" and "know" where there should NOT be a comma. :)

  4. Very good. Someone is reading. I am a public school graduate. Please forgive the insult. In addition, I also made a couple of spelling errors as well. Paine. participating. I would like to blame the keyboard, but will not.

Of all of the immediate changes that need to be made in this country, the most important are in the education system. Our students must be ready to compete in the world and to lead again in science, technology, and literature.

I agree that one of our immediate changes that needs to be made in this country is the education system, but my opinion is that the Democrat Party has generally wanted to keep the masses "dumbed down." That's the best way to control people. It's been done all throughout history. You keep the masses "dumbed down" and they will want you to take care of them and "fix" everything for them. That way you can stay in control of them.

So I don't see this administration looking to "fix" the education system for the masses. It's against their interests.

P.S. I appreciate you getting the tongue-in-cheek message of my correcting your initial post and not feeling the need to insult over it. :)

No one really cares. This Government Dialog thing apparently just a passification trick so that folks will think they have a say, but don't.

All we are doing really is intertainment for each other.

I am not sure I'm ready to believe the Democrat party is actively trying to dumb us all down (but who knows? it's happening anyway), but I do see evidence public school curricula are getting more and more affected by politics. In California they are indeed confirming parents' nightmares and attempting to teach about homosexuality...to KINDERGARTENERS. (and elementary schoolers)

If I have children, they are NOT going to public school, even though I have to pay taxes to support that rotten system.

amx, you are crazy. Sorry, but I can only tolerate blatant falsehoods that go so far. I live in California and there is absolutely NO school district that is attempting to teaching homosexuality at any level; they do teach about health and sexually transmitted diseases at a HIGH SCHOOL level, but that's about it. You are promoting a scare tactic used in CA to scare people into voting against allowing same sex marriage by using children as the excuse. You are talking out of your other mouth. Tell me what school district you are talking about... I dare you. You don't even live in CA.
