That might be easier if there weren't so many people spamming the site.

This is a project design in progress (or regress, in this case). Why not see what the outcome is before making demands?

Submitting ideas to congress and our elected officials is nothing new. Actually listening and acting upon them, though - THAT would be new.

You can package them any way you want, use new media, old media, art, theatre, whatEVER... bottomline is that the only way a new idea or concern gets any traction is when there is a sincere desire (which is only evidenced by actual action) to follow through on an idea and is followed by discernible, measurible execution of that idea.

For 15 years, a majority of Americans have been demanding a right to healthcare such as exists in ALL other industrialized nations. Protests, letters, emails, personal conversations, theatre, art, literature - every avenue has been used (including congressional bills to realize this demand). And that "idea" has been continuously torn down, ignored, and dismissed by those in a position to simply DO IT.

Talk is cheap. In the last several years we've seen a bunch of these type of sites. The ideas that have filled them have not even been discussed by congress at the public level. If a tree falls in the forest...

So far, congress generally sees these sites & comments & ideas & questions as good bathroom reading (regardless of how they are delivered). When something here beyond the lightest weight ("you should change all lightbulbs in the whitehouse to flourescent...", et al) actually gets implemented, it will truly be a new day.
