You are correct. Theoretically citizens are the sovereigns in the USA. We chose representatives to represnt us BUT they actually represent themselves first, their party second, their special interest supporters third and - only then - the voters who elected them. We will suffer from this as long as we go out and vote for the least corrupt politicians offerred us by one of the two corrupt parties.

surely you are not suggesting we actually follow our constitution, are you? that would be implausible, esp under this administration.

I can't say why I tortured you into confessing to crimes you did not do, it's a national security issue!

I can't tell you why I can't support prosecution of people that committed crimes against humanity, it's a national security issue!

I can't tell you why I need to have power of immunity over war crimes in a US Wars of aggression and for oil, that was a war of choice. It's a national security issue!

The government AND the people MUST accept the Constitution as supreme law. There must be limits to democratic demand as well as limits on government.

If our government was indeed governing within the realm of our Constitution, I would agree with tsiya. But our government has added an alien we call Corporation, that now has been given "Personhood" and that new person has taken over the Peoples' rights and left the people needs and demands as virtually moot. Contrary to the Judicial branch stated legal opinion, the courts decision was a grave and costly to the people mistake and that decision must be reversed. Corporations are made up of people, but they are not individuals, and as well their members need not even need to be citizens. We must get our rightful "We the People" place back from the corporate thieves.
