Audit All Civilian Contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan Both Past and Present.

Why Is This Idea Important?: That money belongs to the taxpayers and in these times of economic hardship it is needed more than ever. Under the rule of law such crimes can not be tolerated.

It is a well known fact that billions in taxpayer dollars have been paid out to civilian contractors during the entire course of the wars for work that was never completed and/or never done at all. There should be a full accounting for every dollar and a demand for reimbursement. There should also be indictments and prosecutions for these crimes.

This smacks of political hatchet grinding rather than a real fiduciary concern. Yes there was a LOT of money expended. But in comparison to the massive funds spend in the last four (4) months -- it is nothing.

To allow such a malfeasence to occur and NOT research the unjust doings of these contractors is even more politically motivated than doing nothing at all.

Nothing could be further from the truth bfwe1961. I simply don't want to see this important issue get lost in the shuffle between administrations. Hell, if I got caught stealing an apple at the supermarket because I'm broke and unemployed in this bleak economy I'd be arrested for shoplifting. Why should these already wealthy contractors be allowed to get away with stealing billions of dollars?

These "contractors" killed US servicemen with the shoddy work for which they charged us billions of dollars.

That's right lightandshadow, I almost forgot about that. Water that was supposed to be clean but was not. This is a perfect example of what I mean about getting lost in the shuffle. We need to add murder to the list of contractor crimes!
