There is quite a lot of typical "Obama-liar-racist-nazi"- nonesense out there, which makes it very difficult and pretty annoying for people who have real ideas and know how to discuss the civilised way.
Please, please add something like a team of moderators, who delete nonsens and obvious insults.
Free speech is everyone's right, but people who spam or insult should be thrown out, banned and prosecuted if they are have racist rants, or knowingly trying to obstruct this process of constructive dialogue.
There are 3 ways to rise the quality of this platform (not all of them need to be done):
- Harsh and strict moderation by a team of administrators
- people who want to participate need to register with a valid email and full adress
- adding of a filtering machine that kills every posting which contains words like "racist, nazi, homo" etc.etc. and furthermore, high percentage of words that don't exist like "blep**ing, Fu&%*ing" and so on.

I have yet to see a filtering 'machine' that doesn't do more harm than good.
I'd say that the mods need to start issuing warnings (a canned declaration of purpose and statement that your topic is off-topic should do) and start banning repeat offenders, or put them on moderation so their posts need to be reviewed before showing up on the site.

I agree, I want a site where only my voice can be heard and not all these people insisting Obama conceals all his records. They are crazy lunitics and should be banned.
Reading over the posts, for my first visit, I am extremely disturbed by the amount of "Obama-liar-racist-nazi"- nonsense out there. Problem is that filtering information doesn't work well and is such a time-consuming effort that nothing would be posted. I don't like the nonsense. I would like to see some real dialog and some suggestions for real solutions, not just another forum for people to gripe.
On the other hand, it is a real eye-opener that there is so much propaganda being spread about the President. Sounds like reactionary rhetoric, that is typical in turbulent times. It would be interesting to know the demographics of these type of posts.

I agree - there should be a filter on this website. No one should be denied the ability to post their ideas and express their thoughts. But whats happening is there is a lot of SPAM on this website. People should be able to Filter out stuff that they dont want to be retrieved when they perform a search, and to elinimate SPAM...I dont see why people have such a problem with this idea...
spam comes from companies. i don;'t knwo what spam your talking about. must be they want to see the birth certificate or something else. like no private prisons, or no spam. form the companies that do it.

This site has a purpose, and the posts about Obama's birth certificate, besides being ignorant garbage, have nothing to do with the purpose of the site. If you don't have anything to contribute that is relevant to the purpose, you've got no business here. Quit being an inconsiderate ass and either contribute or leave.

Sorry folks, I too want to see a Birth Certificate, but here is not the place.

To some people Nathan Hales "give me liberty or give me death" and Lincoln's Gettysburg address was spam. I Obama wants to stop the birth certificate talk let him show it or admit he's not eligible to be president. He's certainly not qualified.

Whether or not BO has posted a legitimate BC, or whether he is eligible, or qualified, to be President, are issues totally outside the scope of this site, and posts on those subjects simply don't belong here. That's got nothing to do with freedom of speech. There are plenty of other places to rant about those topics. So those who are doing so here are just being disruptive, rude and, basically, demonstrating that they're arrogant, inconsiderate a**holes. Or just plain stupid, take your pick.
I see they have actually installed or activated a filter here, and the above demonstrates how ridiculously easy it is to bypass such silliness.

I don't think Obama has had control of education spending for the last 50 years, which is where the current problems come from. And I don't think that throwing more money at the problem is necessarily going to improve anything.
Perhaps a subgrouping for each new idea and comment. Anyone who incorrectly categorizes would be subject to idea/comment removal if they violate it more than once. Also we need better defined catagories.
For ideas:
1. New law.
2. Edit existing law.
3. Repeal law.
4. Applaud policy.
5. Edit policy.
6. Criticize policy.
For comments:
1. Aplaud Idea.
2. Addition to idea.
3. Edit Idea.
4. Criticize Idea.
