So let me see if I understand your argument.

You don't like the fact that I asked administrators to reduce the effect of guys like you monopolizing this site with your "birth certificate" nagging. You call my complaint "whining" and you claim the board is "infested" with guys like me. You think I'm a "self appointed censor".

Your response is to ask administrators to reduce the effect of guys like me asking administrators to reduce the effect of guys like you! You want OUR posts to be ignored, but you don't want YOUR posts to be ignored. In short, you want to be a "self appointed censor".

I would never support banning anyone from using these boards. I do not, however, support self-appointed censors taking up the time of real human system administrators with whining. Everyone is likely to see posts that do not belong. It is good that these people notify the syste moderators. However, we all know there are some people whose nature lends them to whining. I merely suggested some software so that system administrators could more quickly recognize the professional whiners.

How do you determine who's a "professional whiner" (whatever that's supposed to be)?

How do you know who's a political operator, and who's not?

You're playing the same old game: "those other guys are bad, and should be locked out, but we're good, and should be in".

And what you're REALLY complaining about is people flagging posts they think are inappropriate -- which is what they're SUPPOSED to do. Of course, since YOU are not a "professional whiner" (right? right?) YOU want to be able to flag.

My earlier post made a simple point: This site is SUPPOSED to be about letting citizens make suggestions about how the government can operate more effectively. It's NOT about giving people obsessed with the birth certificate issue a soap box. Why not try to reduce the signal to noise ratio?

It's not censorship to keep a conversation on track, Rico. It's what moderation is FOR.

Anyway, the whole "birth certificate" thing got debunked months and months ago. Check snopes. They have the whole story.

i can name about 4 that run around saying censor this,, or moderate this. i think that whiners should be ignored. great post. go back to kenya.
